Overall we enjoyed the location and our stay in the bungalow, but it really needs some TLC. The cushions on the couch (inside) and lounge chairs (outside) need to be cleaned. Put some cute pillows on the couch and put a coffee table back like the pictures on the website. In the bedroom, something to put our suitcases on would have been appreciated. Even just a chair would have been nice. We had to put everything down on the floor. The positives... location!!!! We enjoyed walking to the beach every day and eating at the local restaurants.

We were vacationing with our daughter & her family, they were staying in the adjacent bungalow, also listed by Vrbo. Our daughter’s bungalow looked new on the inside – paint, wallpapers, floor, appliances all good; in our – the wall plaster was slaking all over; stained bedsheet, heat and some light switches did not work properly (or worked off & on, with an old nonfunctional wall heater further confusing the issue) and we had to call the manager; a skylight started leaking the third day with water pouring down in the kitchen area and they had to install a new skylight… In short, we did not enjoy our stay & if we did not have our daughter in the next bungalow, where we ended up spending more of our indoors time, we might have called a ruined vacation. Our request for waving some rental cost as a compensation for all the inconveniences and as a gesture of goodwill has so far gone unheeded; a month passed & we have not heard anything from the management.

Great place to stay with our pups and very reasonably priced. This place is really centrally located - walking distance to the beach (La Jolla Shores) and to a bunch of shops and restaurants. This is particularly nice because dogs are allowed on the beach early mornings and late afternoons. :) Thank you!

Perfect location next to La Jolla Shore and many dining, shopping, activity options - easy to get to from Airport. There’s a cute back yard area, laundry, bikes/equipment for beach fun. Downsides - furniture is a bit worn/dated - could stand to be replaced and controls for heat and fans/lights were challenging - better instructions about use would be great. The light control in master may be on its way out - only worked sporadically

Clean and cozy cottage that was comfortable for two adults and two small dogs. Perfectly located just around the corner from all the shops and restaurants of Avenida de la Playa. You can walk to dinner and take in the sunset on La Jolla Shores. Minutes from other attractions near The Cove and a short ride to downtown San Diego. Great getaway spot for a weekend or an extended stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The upside: It’s a solid solution for being able to stay in La Jolla and in such a prime location. The downside (if any) is the unit is quite small (hard to tell just how small in photos), a bit outdated (ie; bed mattresses), and some legitimate street noise … but again, a solid solution all things considered.

This place was in a great location and perfect for our small family. Shops, restaurants, and the beach all within walking distance. Parking was convenient and it was quiet at night. Great stay!

We are returning guests for the last 10 years or so. We love the location, the yard (feels private and secure), convenient to other attractions, restaurants, etc. The sinks were backing up and that was gross and there was no toaster for breakfast, and the interior lights in the kitchen and bathroom blinked when the were on which worried us about the wiring, etc. There aren’t a lot of options to eat indoors. The kitchen is small. May we suggest tv trays so guests could eat in the living room. Thank you.

Loved this cute little bungalow, location to the beach was perfect, everything was within walking distance. My husband, our dog Mailo and I loved the outdoor space. We will be booking again in the fall. Perfect little beach getaway!

Location is great, within walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. Quiet extremely cozy rental, owner has gone above and beyond to make your stay special and stress free.

We stayed at this cute cottage for an entire month and enjoyed its location to all the shops and restaurants and a quick walk to the beach. Our favorite part was the backyard. The beautiful flowers, comfortable furniture was a perfect space for relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed but is small. We always ate outside or at the sofa but there is no coffee table as shown in picture. Also enjoyed the front patio area. It was a good value as we booked over a year ago and looking at current prices it seems to have doubled in price and that would not be a good value. Washer and dryer are outside and are very nice. Communication and request with property manager were always swiftly answered

You’re lucky enough if you are lucky enough to be at the beach!!!! This location is wonderful. Can walk to everything!! Needs a deep clean tho - spider webs by doors & baseboards/blinds. All light bulbs need to be replaced…was very thankful for electric sweeper for interior & we used on floors regularly. Bed & linens were very comfortable & the outside patio furniture is nice. Bummed we were unable to use washer & dryer on the patio (unplugged/covered) since we were staying more than a few days…. Had to buy a bath mat for the tub as was super slippery. We had a lovely time & will consider in the future:

Great place to stay but cloudy weather, rain at times, and lots of marine layer. We love coming here but be patient with the weather in June. There are other things you could do besides going to the beach like shopping downtown, hikes, etc.

This house is small, but was perfect for us. You absolutely cannot beat the location, and the little backyard was nice to sit in. The king bed was quite comfy and my kids (6 & 4) slept great on the pull out. Everything was clean. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Great location walkable to the beach and cute dining/cafe options. Easily accessible to the highway to get back to the city or up to Torrey Pines. We had a great stay, exactly what we needed to escape the snow! And the little side yard was adorable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is located in a great location only a short walk from the beach. Restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are just around the corner. It was also just a short drive to La Jolla Village. We really enjoyed the private patio this unit had with lounge chairs and the cozy fire put after a day at the beach or sightseeing. The place was very clean and organized. It does face La Jolla Shores Blvd which can be very busy with traffic, so this might disappoint guests that aren't used to traffic. There are a few things that could be improved though. Although the photos show one there is no coffee table in the living room. It's a small living room but there is still enough room for a coffee table. Like most people nowadays we ordered out a few times and we are used to eating around the coffee table. There is a table in the kitchen but there was no room to eat in there. It was a pain as again we are now used to eating while seated at the couch. Another thing was that it was nice sunny weather and warm for March. But the windows along the patio side that are in the shade have worn out springs and would not stay open. Would have been nice to keep it cooler on a spring like day. The two things that bothered us besides no coffee table was there is a camera that views the patio area, and as far as we could tell is not disclosed in the agreement nor on the vrbo listing. I can understand reasons having a camera but it should be disclosed. We solved this issue by covering the camera with a wash cloth. And the second most important thing was that even though checkout was at 11 AM, the cleaning guy barged right in at 9:45 AM, no knock, no warning whatsoever. Then as I am standing there defensively, he asks me when we will be leaving. I told him 11AM. He closed the door and didn't apologize or anything. Very disrespectful. This was the only really big disappointment with the place after the camera and no coffee table. Other than these issues we still highly recommend this place and yes we would most definitely stay here again while visiting beautiful San Diego. It wouldn't be honest giving it a full overall 5 stars though. Just be prepared for the cleaners to barge in early on you on your last day and scare the crap out of you while they do so.

Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Comfortable for the two of us. Never made it in to San Diego as who would leave?

This property is conveniently located to shopping / dining and beach access a few blocks away.

Check in was easy and communication was great.

The apartment was a perfect beach cottage but smaller than we expected. The coffee table shown on the website was nit there and the kitchen table was too small to eat at, so there was no real functional eating space except outdoors. During the winter, it was a little cold fir that! The outdoor area was very nice though and we enjoyed the fire out. The location of this cottage was great!

Great location in La Jolla. Around the corner from a street full of restaurants on Avenida De La Playa and a 10 minute walk to La Jolla Shores Beach.

This unit was great and the location was awesome. Beach and multiple restaurants were easy walking distance. We had our dog with us and the yard was perfect and really enjoyed sitting around the firepit. The online pictures and description we 100% accurate. We'l be back!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at this cute bungalow-style property in La Jolla Shores. The location is amazing - roughly 5 blocks to a terrific beach, next door to a quaint corner-store grocery, and near several restaurants. We recommend staying in this area near La Jolla Shores vs. La Jolla Cove if you have kids and want a wide, sandy beach to play on. The property felt safe and and secure, with the few units sharing a gated courtyard entrance. Our unit also featured a private yard with a firepit, which our family enjoyed using in the mornings and evenings. A few maintenance/amenity issues could be improved on and would've made our stay even better, including an overhead light that wasn't functioning in the bedroom, a stain on the couch, etc. Our biggest complaint was that the king bed didn't have king-size bedding. The comforter didn't hang down over the sides of the bed at all, which was irritating. Supplying the correct size bedding would be an easy and appreciated improvement. All-in-all though, the beds were comfortable and we slept well - our kids even labeled the pull-out couch luxurious, which is pretty impressive for a pull-out couch. :)

I liked that there was plenty of towels a decent bed, a full kitchen with utensils etc. It was a little noisy because of the roadway in front of the property. Having a few dining options within walking distance was convenient (Shorehouse Kitchen excellent breakfast) It seems they allow dogs because I saw some animal hair on the floor, and a sofa with something clearly spilled on it and the fact it was soiled and needed a good steam extraction cleaning. I dont want to sound like a complainer but these are things that are easily corrected and should not have been overlooked.

This property checked our boxes for location and outdoor amenities. It is a very small property but the patio makes up for the small size as we spent a lot of evenings out there. I would recommend this unit for families of three or couples. The property manager was very responsive to our needs. The patio and also the bedroom wall boarders La Jolla Shores Blvd so be prepared for some traffic noise. We used an outdoor Bluetooth speaker which helped a ton. Bedroom traffic noise was minimal after 10pm but starts around 7am. The kitchen is very small and sitting three at the table is very tight but the table outside offers a nice alternative. We really liked the gas fire pit out side. Just make sure to check the propane stock. Beach toys and chairs were really nice to have. We would recommend this property based on location, patio and management.
