This property is enchanting, entertaining in itself..filled with surprises which kept us smiling! The antiques, artwork, accommodations greatly exceeded our expectations. Rachel has thought of everything and her attention to detail is phenomenal! She definitely personalized things specifically for us and our special occasion! We were in the area for an important family wedding with a large family staying in several VRBO locations, but everyone wanted to spend time with us, as it is a perfect gathering place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and in every direction, we discovered something fun to look at...flowers, artwork, beautiful landscaping, the putting greens...and between Rachel and her helper, Patrick, every question we had was responded to and answered immediately! This is a property that everyone should see..but it does raise the bar on VRBO stays!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! This property is everything described in the description. We went to Oregon for a wedding and a birthday and the place could not have been more perfect. It is plenty big and beautiful. We enjoyed all the extras such as forgotten toiletries and little snacks, that the host left. She was very accommodating and willing to give advice and recommendations of the surrounding area. You can walk to any business downtown Newberg. We loved the putting green and the different areas to sit and enjoy the day. We had eight people and we were all very comfortable. If you are in the Newberg area I highly recommend this property. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

Lovely, lovely home. the beds were divine, we all slept like kittens. The victorian home was refurbished and I can only imagine the hours spent just on the renovation. The owner decorated the home so beautifully and FUN! Every day there was something new about the decor that we noticed that was so special and beautiful. We celebrated a birthday with family and the home made our stay in Newberg extra special. Thank you and I highly recommend this home

Rachel and Michael's home was a great place to stay for our annual weekend in wine country. Our friend group had a lovely stay in this eccentric and fun house. We wished we could have stayed longer than just the weekend!

From start to finish, our stay was the best! Before we even arrived the host sent dinner recommendations, weather updates and even picked up a grocery order and had it all put away so we had a stocked kitchen upon arrival. Once we arrived the host had an amazing welcome display complete with an adorable welcome sign, bottle of wine and birthday cake and candles! The house was perfect for 4 couples - we all had our own room with a queen size bed. I’ve never stayed in a house with SO many little comforts for the guests such as phone chargers in all the rooms, full stocked bathrooms and kitchen, an ice machine and more! The inside of the house was SO beautiful but we spent most of our time outside and enjoyed the putting green and relaxing on the adorable covered patio. Something else I appreciated was how easy it was to communicate with the host - Rachel was just a quick text away and always responded so quick! Finally, the location is perfect! We walked to lunch, dinner, boutiques and breakfast the next day! 10/10 recommend!

We were a group of 6 ladies coming from all over the country for a wine trip. This house is perfect. The hosts are truly the best I have ever experienced. They have thought of every single detail. The location is a block from downtown with great restaurants, clothing boutiques, and wine tasting rooms. It was a short drive to the grocery store and convenient for planning 3 days of wine tastings with our driver. I could not recommend this house enough. The owners were very responsive, proactive, and just nice people.

We rented this house for a fun wine tasting weekend with friends. The how was great (very eclectic for sure), location was perfect (walking distance to great restaurants) and the outdoor area was amazing place to hang out after a busy day. They even had waters with our names in them (thoughtful little touches like that throughout the house). Looking to renting it again in the summer!

The host reached out to us the moment we booked it to find out if there was anything that they could do to make our stay more comfortable. Their positive energy and willingness to help us was even more evident the moment we walked in and saw all the personalized notes welcoming us from the treats in the fridge to the bottle of wine! The darling Victorian home was filled with beautifully appointed decorations everywhere we turned but we also felt so comfortable there and actually spent more time there hanging out because of its ‘hominess’. We all said we’d come back again just because of this place. Just a short walk to the charming downtown- we all highly recommend this place.

This property is as described and then some! Rachel has every detail covered, even a junk drawer with those things you didn't think you'd need but find yourself wishing you had, like a Sharpee pen! Beds were super comfortable and there was even a universal phone charger on the nightstands! The hairdryer had accessories--a diffuser! Kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor area was relaxing at the end of the day. Rachel was quick to respond to questions about the area and provide suggestions and tips. We can't say enough about how great this rental is! Oh, she even left us birthday surprises as we were celebrating a friend's birthday. Thanks Rachel!

We’ve stayed at over a dozen vacation rentals and this one takes the cake! The attention to detail from the Sherwood’s is noticeable long before you arrive there. Rachel provides tips and recommendations that are excellent and speedy. They truly care about- and are proactive to be sure you have the best experience. The unit itself is even better than the pictures and descriptions! The care that is poured into making sure guests are taken care of is equally poured into making sure the home is truly a perfect home base for your stay. The patio was just lovely to start and end the day. The beds comfy, amenities ample, everything clean and in great working order. The character throughout just makes staying there a treat for the curiosity! Location is fantastic - so close to so many spots- we loved Rosmarino, Painted Lady, and Coffee Cottage! Shopping, antiques, and art galleries nearby so great! We used Black Tie Tours to take us to wineries for a day and Sammy was absolutely wonderful (as was the wine!). Other cities for outings were incredibly close and easy to get to. We met so many friendly people throughout our stay and we raved about Victorian Secrets to anyone who would listen! Highly recommend and would love to return- and stay here! They’ve thought of everything and made it so easy for us!

Great weekend staying at this property. House was extremely clean, hostess padded the house with fun details and extras, outdoor lounging space was amazing, and location was great for walking to restaurants, bars, coffee and shopping. Will stay here again.

Excellent property. Very welcoming with everything you might need. Extra surprise from host for one of my friends who was celebrating a birthday. Host went above and beyond. Easy walk to restaurants, tasting rooms, etc. We are already planning a return trip.

The outside patio and chairs was our hang out spot for the week. Loved that area. We had 4 adults in our party and this house worked out just right. The property owners were great and very helpful with some small issues during our stay. The local information they provide was exceptional.

Our group had a fantastic time in Newberg. From the get go, Rachel spoiled us with wine, cheese and crackers to start our cycling and wine tasting getaway. Rachel has thought of everything. The house is well-stocked, the decor eclectic and entertaining. The location makes for an easy stroll to restaurants and shops in downtown Newberg. Rachel is an exceptional host and her communication skills are superb. We are so grateful to have had such a lovely stay.

The house and decor was fantastic. I hosted a friend from Ireland and Australia - every night without planning we ended up outside in the amazing garden recant our amazing day. The house and host was absolutely amazing. I would stay again without question. You’ll love this house. ❤️

This property has everything you could want and more. It is beautifully decorated and we were awestruck as we walked through the house. Everywhere we looked we spotted a unique addition to the decor. The full bath on the first floor has a clawfoot tub. Over the tub is a backlit seen of stars that is both beautiful and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook gourmet meals and enjoy wine from the local vineyards. The outdoor space is lovely and there's cozy outdoor furniture, just right for napping or reading a book. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We took several walks throughout the neighborhood and even found a park right on the Willamette River. The owners were accessible and helpful. I hope to stay here again because it was very comfortable and provided the perfect accommodation for a relaxing vacation.

Our stay at Victorian Secrets could not have been better. The house itself is wonderful: fun, clean, very visitor friendly, and a joy. Our hosts went above and beyond in terms of the hospitality & comfort. I can't say enough about the excellence that characterized our stay, on every level. My one regret is that we don't have a good reason to return to Newberg and stay at the house.

This is a very well groomed VRBO home. I was very impressed. The really cater to the guests visiting and staying there. The property inside and out is very relaxing and comfortable.

Superior accommodations. The home is on a quiet street, with a beautifully landscaped yard, and a comfortable outdoor sitting and grilling area. Every interior room is uniquely decorated and is supplied with everything , (I mean everything) one might need. Beds are very comfortable,. Kitchen is ready for all cooking. I can’t say enough about how positive about our experience was. The owners are wonderful to work with and truly are Above & Beyond hosts..

Wonderful attention to every detail. Host checked in with us to make sure our needs were met. Short walk to downtown Newberg for shopping, food, and excellent coffee. We loved the unique details through the house including, fresh flowers, well equipped kitchen and outdoor seating and swings. We had a wonderful stay!

This lovely VRBO was full of surprises! The decor is vibrant and quirky, but what I appreciated most was the attention to detail. We cooked for our group of six (three couples) every night -- pork steaks, spatchcocked chickens and asparagus on the grill, roasted salmon, rib-eye steaks we found at the farmers' market in McMinnville. Salads, risotto, all easy to make in the pretty, bright kitchen. We did wine tastings each day and came home in the afternoon for comfy naps in the well-appointed rooms (bonus points for PILLOWS!). The entire property is well-managed, including lovely gardens. Our hosts were so responsive and flexible, too. I asked for a chef's knife, and in less than a day there were TWO to help me cook more easily. My husband is a professional musician and loves to play on vacation, so Rachel found a guitar for him to use during our stay. Above and beyond! From the bottled water and berries in the fridge to fresh flowers all around the house, these owners paid attention to so many thoughtful details. The fact that the VRBO is walking distance to town (coffee shops, restaurants, a little shopping) is another plus. I can't recommend this place highly enough! Thank you, Rachel and Michael!

The owners of this house made us feel extremely welcome and at home. This house was well equipped with all that you could need and more. From the beds to the outdoor patio area, we all were very comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

People, you want to stay at this fabulous house! It's beautiful, and full of fun and thoughtful items. It's artsy, quirky (in a best possible way), and comfortable. The location is amazing, truly a few blocks from great restaurants, shops, wine tasting, coffee, and even a GF bakery! When we arrived, there were not one but three fresh bouquets of flowers, a bottle of wine, and cheese and crackers there to greet us after our long trek. And the hosts checked in with us via text a number of times to make sure all was fabulous. We will be back!
