Everything was as expected! Very sweet place

Large windows, vaulted ceiling, open floorplan, upper and lower decks, a keurig, and some shelf-stable, starter pantry items. (The ONLY things needed were extra trash bags and tissues, but you have to provide your own). We saw a male black bear on day 2, shortly after we grilled burgers. The next day, we saw a Mama bear and her 3 cubs. We loved the private hot tub, the scenery, the location, the comfort of the cabin, and the AMAZING, SPACIOUS master shower!

Always enjoy staying at this property. The owners are wonderful to work with and the property is clean and comfortable. Beautiful views, quiet and easy to get into Gatlinburg or the national park. We have stayed numerous times and will plan to book again.

The house was beautiful and in a great accessible location to GSMNP. We loved how easy it was to leave the neighborhood and drive right into the park without fighting the Gatlinburg traffic. It was well-stocked and very comfortable. Our children are 14, 13, 10, and 7, and everyone had a bed to themselves. One day, a curious bear crawled under the house while we were out hiking and broke a water line. She learned about it and called the plumber before we even returned to the house. Michelle had the issue resolved quickly and communicated throughout the evening. What might have been a big problem was painless for us due to Michelle's quick problem-solving and her dependable plumber! I would highly recommend her property. We certainly enjoyed our time there!

We had a great stay at this property while visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Being able to use a door code to check in and out was incredibly convenient, and the location had great access to both Gatlinburg and the park. My kids loved all the video games and the hot tub. We will definitely return to this rental if we visit the area again!

We had a fantastic time at this amazing property just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and close to all the activities. This is a perfect base for exploring the Great Smoky Mountains and we walked the trails, went tubing and white water rafting, visited Dollywood and Splash Country and shopped at Pigeon Forge, while also enjoying our 'down days' relaxing at the lovely Chalet Village swimming pools. We saw lots of bears (keeping a safe distance) - including our very own mother and two baby bears who hung out in our yard! I would thoroughly recommend this property and thanks to the owners for such good communication throughout the whole booking and travelling process.

My family of five had a great stay at this property. Close to the NP and Gatlinburg is fabulous! The property is easy to get to. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay! The cabin was clean, updated and well stocked. Easy drive to downtown Gatlinburg, Park and Ober. The living area is very open and spacious! Overall a perfect family getaway.

Very clean, good size for two small families, kids enjoyed and loved the stay too.

This was our first time in Tennessee and this Chalet home made our stay so much better. It was clean, cozy, and close to everything. Communication with the host was amazing. We will definitely be back!

The property was just what we needed for our family vacation! SO many bears! I would definitely recommend to others. Communication with the owners was great as well. Overall I would rate a 4.5 out of 5! Our only issue was all the patio furniture could have been cleaned/washed.

Stayed 4 nights near end of May 2022. Liked location - very easy access to GSM National Park for hiking and my husband and I drove down and parked at Galinburg Trail head (maybe a 4 min drive) early most mornings and ran along the river out to the Visitor Center. Cabin was well equipped, very good communication from the owner and she left a nice welcome bag to get our stay started. Would stay here again.

We were in Gatlinburg for my daughter’s cheer competition and found this perfect cabin that was central to just about everything. Very close to Ober, which is where we spent most of our only free day. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hopefully we can come back soon and stay in this cabin.

The property is beautiful, it has all the bells and whistles. The house is equipped with everything you may need (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) We had the wonderful experience of seeing a bear behind the house. The Christmas decorations plus the tree was beautiful. The open concept with the windows was breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting outside throughout the day to enjoy the scenery. The location was close to the center of Gatlinburg and a short distance to Pigeon Forge. The fireplace in the living room made the room feel cozy and warm. The game room was a lot of fun for the kids and the adults. The bedrooms were very accommodating for my entire family. The host (Michelle) was prompt to respond to my questions. Highly recommend the property to other travelers. I will book again when visiting Gatlinburg. Thank you, Maria and Family

We had a great time here! We saw lots of bears. Only complaint about the house was the sheets on the beds, they were very scratchy. Not comfortable at all. All guests in the house complained about the same thing. The bed we were sleeping in felt like there was sand in the bed, but it was just fuzz balled old sheets. That was the only complaint. Everything else was great. Location was perfect and scenery was beautiful!

Perfect location to visit Gatlinburg and the Smokies. Host was very prompt to respond to issues. Main fireplace did not work during our stay but it was inspected and needed part was purchased so it will be functional soon for future guests.

Great location - very clean - amazing view - comfy beds - master shower 2 heads - did not want to finish showering - jacuzzi outside of master bedroom - kids enjoyed that - great fireplace inside outside every where - game room for everyone- kitchen was super everything you need is there - all the amenities at your fingertips- TVs every where -close Gatlinberg and Pidgeon Forge - but the most fun was watching the bears - 2 days in a row we saw the momma and family - she even tried to get into our cars 1 day - actually due to a locking malfunction on the van opened the door - no harm no foul we chased her away - but did get a great video ! I highly recommend this vacation home 💙🙏🏼💙

This location is absolutely perfect for anyone visiting Gatlinburg. Whether you are enjoying the main strip or headed to the trails, this is the home for you. The house is beautiful and equipped to meet the needs of all guests such as a deck fire pit, hot tub, air hockey table, arcade machine, and puzzles. Beds are comfy and the decor is current. Michelle is great at communicating and I felt like I was staying at a friend's home. Kitchen had everything you needed! Will stay here again!

Great time! Great location! Loved amenities. Sad we didn't utilize it more, always out and about in the GSNP, Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, Townsend or Cherokee. So much to do and see. Even got to see 3 bears the last day!

We very much enjoyed our rental for a little over a week. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Access and check-in were easy, and the driveway was reasonable compared to others on the mountain (oh my!). (And heed the warning about bears: while we never saw it, within 5 minutes of arriving we discovered a huge muddy pawprint on our truck door's handle!) The house was close enough to Gatlinburg for easy access, but felt far away from that craziness. The home itself was nicely updated, and everything we used worked properly. I'm a tough grader, so a few nits that need attention brought my rating down a notch from perfect: they should probably get a partial refund from their flooring contractor, the memory foam mattresses are really uncomfortable, and the kitchen trash can track that wouldn't stay closed sliced my foot. On a final positive note, the air hockey table and arcade machine are awesome extras for families with kids, and the owners were super-responsive. Kind of wish VRBO had a 4.5 star rating...

We really enjoyed our stay at Ski'n With the Bears! Communication with the owner was excellent and the location is great - far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to easily get to all the activities in downtown Gatlinburg. We even saw a bear wander up the driveway during our stay! It was a great location for our short family get-away.

Enjoyed our stay. Please be aware if you have anyone in your group with mobility issues…the stairs going to all the bedrooms are steep.
