We had a family of five adults stay at Tally Ho over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect location and also a great size for our family. It was so quiet and peaceful and fully stocked with everything we needed! Thank you Will and family for sharing your home with us!

We enjoyed our first visit to Highlands and are so glad we rented your house. It was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. The house is perfectly located for hiking and going into town. It is also well stocked for anything that you need during your stay and very comfortable.

I rent often through VRBO and Will was the best host I’ve ever rented from.

We stayed at Tallyho for three nights(4 adults). It’s a lovely home located close to town in one direction and waterfalls in the other!. It’s very clean and coZy with seemingly new appliances in the kitchen. Comfy beds! We especially enjoyed watching several humming birds visiting the feeder on family room window! Will is a very responsive host. A great property!

Lovely stay for 4th of July! The cabin is in a wonderful location to walk downtown. We loved sitting on the back porch with a good book! Perfect size for our family. Thank you for sharing your home!

The house was cozy and inviting and very easy to access the center of town and some great hiking.

Tally-Ho was the perfect spot for a long weekend with our family. It was a very short walk to town which was nice with a stroller, but also had the feeling up tucked away in the mountains with a beautiful view. The amenities at the house included everything we needed (kitchen appliances, hairdyrer, comfortable living space, etc) and more (highchair and great fire place). Will made communication and check in and check out very easy and flexible, which we appreciated traveling with a small baby. We would definitely want to rent Tally-Ho again with family or friends any time of the year!

We loved this house! It is absolutely charming and perfectly appointed, with the right blend of antiques, charm, and comfort. The beds are so comfortable and the linens top grade. The kitchen/living room is an open concept and perfect for great conversations while meals are prepared. The kitchen is also perfectly appointed and the only noted absence was a cork screw (which we remedied, and left for the next guests). We used the wood burning fireplace two nights and it was charming -- the draft works well, so no problems with getting our little blaze going. The wifi worked liked a charm; the best connectivity I have had, which was perfect for our group of professional women that needed to stay in touch. The Holt Circle is a perfect 1.4 mile early morning walk and the glen about 1/2 way from the Tally-Ho to the right is stunning. Although close to town, we say several deer and heard something at the trashcan in the wee hours of the morning which was either a very large raccoon or perhaps a bear. (The warning about bears and trash cans are real; on the way out of town, less than a 1/4 mile from the Tally-Ho, I say two homes who had been vandalized by the local bears - - the bears had a great evening; the homeowner or renters were going to be spending some quality time on a fall day cleaning up.) Our host was equally charming, always responsive. And as an added plus, someone in the home is a Clemson graduate, which fit particularly well with one of our group, as her husband received his masters from Clemson. All-in-all, it was a lovely time. Highly recommend.

Tally-ho did not disappoint for the month we lived there. Great location to town. Really appreciated the home's design with two BR and two full bath upstairs and two BR downstairs with shared bath. Created the needed space to work remotely and privacy for guests. The wi-fi was completely reliable...the best I've had at a VRBO. The linens and furniture are high quality and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. My favorite part was all of the outside living spaces that were rain proof. (Front Porch, Covered Back Porch and Screened Porch) The cottage does not have mountain views but you feel like you are living in a tree house. It is glorious. The Host is great, friendly and very responsive. We would definitely return!

Just a beautiful peaceful place. The living area is so very comfortable. The front yard is spectacular and invites outdoor seating and play.

We came in for our nephew’s wedding in Highlands- excellent location - quick little drive to town- charming house with everything we needed- loved the stonework out front- owner Will was absolutely the best throughout the stay!! Highly recommend this lovely house

House was spot on to the photos, and just a short distance from downtown. Walkability was tremendous, and decor was so nice my sister and wife kept commenting on pieces throughout the stay. Owner’s communication is timely, prompt, and a joy to rent from. To be honest, on of the best VRBO experiences to date. 11/10 would stay again, and most likely will soon.

I almost don't want to write this review, because I don't want it to be booked out the next time we come into town! This place is wonderful. Traveling with our two dogs, we're very familiar with "pet friendly" homes. They're either not pet friendly or just a little run down/not quality. Tallyho is NOT any of these things. It's charming, spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The back deck was great for us and the dogs to sit out on, even if a little chilly. The kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable & towels thick & cozy. You can tell that the property owners take great care of this home. Location, of course, is fantastic. Check in was easy. This also would be a great home for two families with the downstairs area. Because it was just two of us, we only went downstairs to do laundry - but the house would be great for a couples weekend or someone with little ones. Overall, great stay and will hopefully be back soon.
