From start to finish this was a wonderful experience!! Awesome communication and honest advertising! The cottage we stayed in was cozy and comfy with all our needs met. Plus it was quiet and beautiful besides!! The swimming pool and hot tub were awesome as well. No complaints!! Chickens and dogs were around if you wanted but not intrusive at all Incase you are not an animal person. Greg and Lori are amazing hosts and very eager to please and accommodate if possible. If we are ever back in the Simi valley area we will stay again for sure!!

What a neat place, such personality! Greg was wonderful to work with and quick to respond. It's a small space (indoors) but has everything you'd need (unless you're looking to cook a big meal). The outdoor space is grand and beautiful! Highly recommend checking it out.

Nice little guest house. Very quiet. We were here for 2 nights for a wedding. Worked perfect for my wife and I.

We were in the area for a family wedding so chose this site just for its location. We were fortunate to have selected a place with the best Hosts (Greg and Lisa) I have ever worked with. Responsive to our every need plus went out of their way to make it a great visit for us. We found the property a perfect place to chill out! Everything you need is a half mile away. We found a couple of great hiking trails nearby as well. Highly recommend.

We were blessed beyond words with the amenities of this property. Amazing owners, animals, views, room, simplicity yet magical. Beyond thankful our journey landed us here.

We had a fantastic swimcation! My daughter loved the animals and was lucky enough to be invited to ride the family’s horse. We also enjoyed a bonfire! Wonderful hosts.

We arrived July 20 and stayed until July 28th so it was a solid week plus the 2 checkin and checkout days. Property was exactly as described and pictured (which isn’t always the case). Location was very secure, we never even locked the door. Close to freeways to make travel easy. Beautiful, super quiet and relaxed space. We stayed really busy but we checked in with them and they had great suggestions for restaurants and on the order to visit places so you don’t needlessly back track. One of my sins favorite parts was their two German Shepherds. He missed his dog and one of theirs was always close enough for him to call out to or walk over to and visit. Very non obtrusive and unless you seek them out you may never even see them. Cool to have chickens (they are quiet) and bunnies right there. Awesome hammock which did not flip us out as some do. Things we did and really enjoyed in case you’re making a list (and you should because there is SO much to do and see). 1. The Petersen Museum in LA 2. Griffith Observatory 3. Angels Run Railway in LA 4. San Francisco - stayed overnight then drove Pacific Coast Highway back. Completely incredible. - Pier 39 - Alcatraz - Golden Gate Bridge - Driving back on PCH - Point Lobos State Reserve - Big Sure - Practically every pullover because you just can’t drive past the amazing views and not stop 5. Las Vegas - stayed overnight in Boulder for the Hoover Dam the next day - Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor - Welcome to Las Vegas sign - Celebrity Cars - they have cool stuff - Carroll Shelby Museum - Hoover Dam (pictures by Welcome to Nevada sign on one side and Welcome to Arizona sign on the other) 6. Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch - look it up, so cool 7. Check out Apple Valley Speedway if they have an event. We went for drifting. It was great!

Truly enjoyed my time in this stylish studio with a great surrounding setting. The space was clean and inviting. Greg was awesome and very welcoming of the shared areas. My favorite part was hanging by the pool!

Definately a relaxing place to visit. Greg and his wife we amazing and very accommodating. I am for sure going back.

Property is absolutely beautiful.

My husband and I had a great time staying here. We liked that it was close enough to the bigger cities that we could do site seeing or if we werent feeling the touristy stuff we could just stay, relax, and look at the mountains. If you like enjoy a beautiful view especially of the mountains, this is the place for you.

Wow. This place was HUGE and was the perfect place for my daughter Rylie. She got to run around, play, swim and so much more. I had no idea we would have this much fun. This truly was like staying at a resort.We got to pet chickens, rabbits play with dogs and they went hunting for lizards and other little critters. Very grateful to have visited their horse at a stable nearby where we visited a farm.The pool is ridiculously fun. The slide felt like a waterslide at an amusement park. My daughter must of jumped off the diving rock 25 times a day.At night it was so peaceful I felt like we were in the woods while looking at the lights, tiki torches and laser green lights while we sat in the JacuzziIf you are thinking of a peaceful and fun outdoor road trip then this is the place to come.The best service with the nicest people you will ever meet.We found a diamond for sure. I want to come back again soon!Thank you so much for the best 4 day trip to end my kids summer vacation.We are truly blessed.

I had a great experience staying here! Greg and his wife are very friendly and laid-back and have provided a beautiful space to just relax and forget about your worries. Just keep in mind that if you’re looking for complete seclusion or privacy you might want to let them know that in advance. I had no problem sharing the yard and pool area with them, they even barbecued and gave me dinner one night :), but this is definitely somewhat of a communal space. They have two very sweet and calm German Shepherds who were lovely and I didn’t hear any barking my entire stay. The location is great with access to most freeways and plenty of places to eat. I will definitely stay here again

The hosts were very nice!! The property was incredible.

We enjoyed our stay. Our host was amazing! The only thing we were disappointed with was the firmness of the bed. It was too soft for us. But this is a personal preference for us. The property was beautiful, peaceful and interesting.

Greg and Lori were very accommodating and made us feel comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived, even though we were late, we loved the nautical/musical theme in the room and enjoyed the in ground hot tub as well. We hope to return again someday. Thanks again Greg and Lori!

Staying at Penny Lane with Greg and Lori was a great experience. From the time we checked in until we left, we were very comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean, and have a cool vibe. The views from the yard and pool/spa are breathtaking. The property is easy to get to from LAX and is close to shops, restaurants and the Reagan Presidential Library. The pictures of the property are very accurate. Greg and Lori and awesome laid back people. We are already planning another trip to California and will be staying at Penny Lane. This was our first VRBO experience, and it was a sensational one.

They are a wonderful and friendly group of people. We had a wonderful time. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting them. Would definitely stay again! They always made sure we were enjoying ourselves.

Friendly professional staff, very clean, comfortable and beautiful. I highly recommend.

My goal: My husband (54yr) & myself (52yrs) wanted to float peacefully in a warm pool. Goal achieved! plus more. The pool was warm, clean, luxurious - pool slide, waterfall, rock walls, hot tub surrounded by beautiful views of mountains from every direction. We told them our favorite music, and they played it on the speakers while we swam/floated in the pool. In the evening we sat in the hot tub with twinkling colored lights all around. Our room was clean and cute - huge shower and huge TV. The room has a refrigerator, freezer, Kruger coffee maker, microwave and sink, and we had access to an extra refrigerator and freezer. Greg and Lori were awesome. She cooked dinner for us and offered breakfast and lunch. We never planned our meals right in order to get to eat with them, but for sure we will next time. She brought us homemade cookies while we soaked in the hot tub. When you are at the house, you feel like you are out in nature, but a short drive down the hill and anything you want is 5 minutes away - including the Ronald Reagan Library. Anything we needed, we simply texted them and within seconds, they delivered!! We found our vacation/get away spot!!

The stay with Greg and Lori was nothing short of amazing. The place was just as pictured with even more little treasures than expected. Their communication and flexibility is top notch and they are very gracious host. The room is well appointed and the property is beautiful. We drove in from Vegas to visit family and Lori met us upon our, early, arrival to give us the lay of the land and introduce us to their dogs who came to check on us every morning which was a nice addition to our stay. If you are ever in Simi Valley and need a place this is the one, hands down. Greg and Lori are amazing people and their hospitality will add such value to your stay. We will be returning soon. Thank you folks for everything!!!

Greg and Laurie are wonderful hosts and their guest/pool house is cute, cozy and fun. They are new to being hosts and are very accommodating and great to work with. Their property is in close proximity to many amenities in both Ventura and LA Counties, or no matter whichever direction you might choose to explore. However, I had a concern about privacy issues. The guest/pool house also shares space with an office/music room and there is not a full length solid wall that separates each space, just French doors with curtains (the rental is a few steps higher than the other room). On two occasions, one at night for a few hours I could see someone in the room, and then again, the next morning there was someone in that room. I should have called Greg and Laurie at the first occurrence, but it was late, I was tired, and I did try to call out to the person in the room but received no answer. So, I just got in bed where no one could see me. The next day there was someone else in the room but didn’t realize they were there (I was blow drying my hair) until they answered the ringing phone. I spoke to Laurie about the situation when I checked out and feel certain she would address it with Greg and whomever else might need to know, and pre-cautions would be put in place to remedy the privacy issue. On personal note, if you need aid in walking or with some stairs, I feel this property is hard to navigate. I wish Greg and Laurie all the best in their new adventure, however based on my personal experience the rating should be a 3, but I gave it a 4 because I feel once any kinks are worked out this will be a wonderful destination. Three previous renters, on Airbnb each gave it 5 stars!
