Very nice location. Close to shopping centers and restaurants. Centrally located.
Room was small, but cozy and clean.

Straight across from the beach and public beach access... place to potty my two dogs... very easy parking... and access to conveniences for travel... very happy overall... I highly recommend for budget and pet travel and travel in general.
Wish check-out were at 11am vs 1030am, but minor inconvenience... property great in terms of staying with pets and location and clean with comfortable sleeping.

The staff was excellent and could not be more accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

The 2 bedroom appt was a bit cozy but still totally doable for a short weekend.

- in the extreme heat ( upper 90s), the bedrooms did get a little toasty during the day.

The location was nice. Having two bedrooms and a couch bed fit our family of 5. The rooms are very small, as is the bathroom, but for the location and price - not complaining! They have the kitchenware and appliances needed.
It’s an older property but it’s been maintained nicely.

The place was very dirty. For what we paid per night, the facility needs significant updates and work. There were stains on sheets, walls were filthy with dirt and rust, tile on the floor was chipped, there was rust everywhere. The kitchen sink leaked and shower water never fully got hot.

Was right next to the beach. Was quiet area around. And target was on the other side of fence.

The entire room was not much bigger than a cupboard, no space for luggage. No staff on-site, had to call for someone to come and let us into our unit.

Affordable and close to the beach access. Mostly clean. Check-in staff was very friendly. Outside shower was very helpful. Toiletries provided were nice.
The weather put a damper on things but we felt like we were not able to reschedule b/c the deadline had passed. The bed made a loud bang noise when we got in it or rolled over. The TV remote did not work. Pull handles on the blinds were dirty. Room smelled heavily of bleach.

The location was very good and close to the Jolly Roger restaurant.
Hot water wasn't working when we arrived. Staff was able to quickly resolve once they were notified.

The location was great - easy and quick walk to the beach. The staff were nice and helpful. I liked that they accepted dogs and the fee was only $25. It was nice to have a common area to hang out in with my family, along with a fridge and microwave.
They charge you a fee if you don't wash your dishes, but we were not provided with dish soap. The rooms do get a bit warm, but they provide fans in each so that helps.

We visited Driftin Sands in 2019 and planned on returning....but COVID delayed our return. We were so happy to be back!. Everything was great!
Can't say a bad word about Driftin Sands. The owners are great people. Very short walk to the beach and central to many of OBX sites of interest.
