This house is an excellent choice while visiting the Anchorage area of Alaska. The house is very comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. The views from the house overlooking the mountains and the city down below are stunning both during the day and in the evening hours. The house is well appointed and the owners are available via phone should you need them. We will definitely rent again on our next visit to Eagle River, AK.

Alaska sells itself! This house was a great base to experience Alaska. Well stocked with all household items and then some bonus thoughts such as a bin of winter gear that couldn't be packed. Also appreciated the use of a printer.

We loved our stay at this house in Eagle River. It was a convenient location to get around to everything. The house was also very cute and clean. The views are absolutely gorgeous and it was nice just relaxing at the house as well looking at the mountains!

We loved renting Shannon’s house. It is beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable! The view is incredible and has the perfect sunset views! We would absolutely stay here again!

This home was so perfect for our first Alaska stay! We were there for a week for our son’s wedding and we had lots of room for our kids, grandkids and my mother to stay comfortably. The fourth bedroom was great for the kids, they loved playing in the window seats. The fireplace made the living area a great place to gather, very cozy and comfortable. The views were amazing, the city lights down below at night and the mountains in the daytime. Beautiful! We had two moose in the yard one day! Eagle River had some great restaurants and easy access to groceries. It was a good central location for all we wanted to do.The owners were quick to respond to any questions and to make recommendations for our stay. The home was very clean and well kept. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back someday!

We loved the location of this property and the views were incredible. Just out of town enough to have privacy and room to explore, but not so far you can’t make a quick trip to the store or restaurants. Great proximity to JBER.

I stayed with four of my siblings and my father as a special trip for dad, and this house was just what we needed! Great location to get into anchorage, drive further along the coast or go north. It was also perfectly comfortable with great views for when we needed a few hours or an evening to take a break from adventures. The rooms were all big and comfortable, and the deck had a beautiful view. Kelly was very communicative and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We hosted a family reunion to Alaska and loved absolutely everything about this stunning home in the quaint town of Eagle River! The location was perfect for day trips North to Mirror Lake or Eklutna Lake, or South to Girdwood, Whittier, Seward, and the Kenai. The family enjoyed the local feel of Jitters, a coffee spot, that was right down the hill, and the convenience of 3 grocery stores within a few miles. The house itself was spotless, the views stunning, and the layout and functionality perfect! The host was very prompt and provided excellent detail and assistance as needed. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling to Alaska~ Thank you for making our experience unforgettable!

We had four couples stay at the house. There was plenty of room for everyone and the views were great.. We even saw a bear, but missed seeing the moose. Communication with the owner was very good and I would highly recommend this property.

This was a wonderful property. We had views from all three floors. We had two couples staying together and we both had enough room to have some privacy. We also love the Jacuzzi tub. One of the couples did several hikes while the other couple just snuggled on the couch. It was perfect for the four of us.

Great house for our family. Lots of space and rooms for all. Loved relaxing on the deck and enjoying the peace in the evenings.

Alaska vacation, I just have to say that everything from the location to the home was absolutely beautiful. The views were stunning, and the last night we even saw a bear walking by there. Communication with the owner and check in and out out couldn’t have been better. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone going with a large family or group.

We had a excellent time. Multi families stayed and we had our own spaces and still had lots of community space for spending time together. Great views and quiet neighborhood. They had several nice details. Very convenient to get to Walmart or Fred Myers for all grocery needs. There are a few nails on the deck to be cautious of. Over all very happy with our choice to stay at eagle river mountain retreat!

The owner is amazing, responsive and caring. The house was wonderful and spotless. Would absolutely stay again!

Our stay was a wonderful experience. The home was spacious, comfortable and provided great views. We were able to make several excursions during the day and always looked forward to returning to our "home" , kicking our shoes off and enjoying a good night's sleep, ready to go again the next day! Will always remember this special place and will return if the opportunity arises.

This Eagle River home was perfect for our special family wedding group! The layout of the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen worked very well for our large group; and, the view is breathtaking from high above Eagle River. It was a great location for our day trips to Girdwood, Seward, Talkeetna and Denali...although, we remain in the 70% Club that didn’t get to see it! We made this memorable trip from Texas and hope to be repeat visitors at this special Eagle River home again soon. Thank you, Kelly!

This is such a beautiful location with lots of great hikes close by. The owner was so helpful with a list of hikes and activities. Good beds, clean. We really enjoyed our stay

Kelly and Molly were easy to deal with. The home was spacious and comfortable and had nice welcoming touches like fresh flowers and a pudding cake! The pantry was well stocked, which is always nice. There were lots of helpful books and brochures about places to go and things to do. The location was perfect for local adventures and as a starting point for further ones. All in all an excellent experience!

We had a great time visiting our old hometown and this house was a great homebase

This was exactly like the pictures shown. The area is quiet and beautiful surroundings. It was about 30 minutes from downtown Anchorage so sometimes a drive to do activities south of Anchorage. All the bedrooms are downstairs and the stairs are fairly steep for a big heavy suitcase (like I brought! Lol) The House is spacious and well maintained. Great washer and dryer that we used to be able to pack lighter for our trip from Illinois.

Our family of seven enjoyed the space and comfort of this Eagle River home. We are glad we chose outside of Anchorage and outside of congestion. The house had everything we needed, including a pantry with staples to get us going. Everyone especially enjoyed the large deck. It was also nice to have laundry facilities so we could pack lightly. Lovely visit.

7 of us stayed for 7 nights and found this home to be a great place to stay during our various day-trips around the Anchorage area. Very open floor-plan, private with a great view. We would rent this again if returning to the area.

We came to visit for a family vacation. There were 8 of us total. The house was perfect. We had the master bedroom set up with 3 beds like shown and it worked perfectly for our family visit. We saw wildlife throughout our week at the house as well as during our site seeing. (Bear, mama moose and baby, coyote, and several cool birds including an owl.) We did several day hiking trips to various glaciers; Matanuska and Exit Glaciers are amazing. The hikes weren’t terribly difficult and the views were breathtaking. We also spent a couple days driving down to Seward and Girdwood. Would recommend doing that if you have time. One thing we’d change is how much food we bought. We over estimated our time at the cabin and unfortunately wasted more food than we meant to. So maybe get the basics and then get dinner stuff as you go. Walmart is literally just up the road.
