My husband and 3 teens have been visiting Cashiers/Glenville for years from Florida to escape the summer heat. We love boating on Lake Glenville, the amazing hiking/waterfalls and just enjoying an escape from our hectic lives. This was our first stay at The Nest and when I walked in, the view literally took my breath away. I can't even capture its beauty in photos, you need to experience it yourself. Every sunrise and sunset lit up the home and my entire family enjoyed every minute of our stay in this gorgeous home. The home has high end finishings, beautiful decor, and 4 floors so everyone can have their private space yet gather together on the main floor and porch for meals and drinks. We want to come back with couple friends to share the beauty of the home and the area. Thank you Annie for opening your home to others to experience. It's a rare find--we've stayed on the lake before but nothing has compared to your beautiful home nestled in the mountains.

This home and location are amazing. Views were spectacular as well. We had folks from 4 to 64 years old and all were comfortable and loved this stunning home. Also, the owners and manager were very responsive to any questions. I would recommend this home to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

Time at The Nest was an overdue retreat for our busy family. Our hosts were a delight! A well apportioned mountain home with space for all and a blue ridge view that calms the mind, body and soul. We spent a significant amount of time recharging on the porch watching the humming birds, listening to the birdsong symphony and star gazing. We look forward to our next visit.

Lovely home in great location. Provided with all that was needed for our 5 day stay. Kept the kids comfortable and entertained. Enjoyed the sunrise over the mountains and comfortable porch swing.

Your home was just perfect for our adult vaca. We loved the layout, and how new and clean everything was! Then we stepped outside and the view was absolutely breathtaking! My favorite part of the house was the porch bed swing and I think we took about 100 pictures off the balcony alone! :) The neighborhood is tucked away up a scenic curvy road and was just perfect! I would recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area! We WILL be back!

This property was amazing! Beautiful views along with a great location close to cashiers and highlands. The house was VERY clean and more importantly very kid friendly. The kitchen was amazing as well as all the touches and finishes of the house were high end but still made you feel like home. We hope to find an opportunity to come back and soak up the views again!

Only suggestion is to Read the directions to get there - we lost mobile coverage for the last 15 mins and I neglected to get the gate info.

The home is beautifully situated with amazing panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains from porch. It’s so quiet you can hear the hummingbirds zipping in and out from the feeders hanging from back porch. If you’re looking for a great place to relax and unwind, this is the place to visit. The home furnishing and decorating is so well done. Great kitchen. We enjoyed the many hikes to the various waterfalls, and trips to Highland only 30 minutes away. The owners were very communicative. Great Trip!!!

The views from the back deck over multiple mountain ranges are just amazing. We did not see better views anywhere. The house is very well equipped and it was easy to settle in quickly and feel at home. The house gets lots of light during the day and it is cosy in the evening. The back deck is really great! The Nespresso machine was also highly appreciated!

The property owner was in touch with all pertinent information. We could not have asked for anything better than her help and the restfulness of the property. In addition to beauty of the dwelling, the surroundings were everything we had hoped for. We plan to return someday.

The Nest is a special place! The views from the house are spectacular and then you have the option to climb another 100’ or so to get to the most spectacular mountain sunset east of the Mississippi. The house is very clean and modern, and set the record for the amount of cooking supplies, seasonings and cook wear. Just can’t beat the weather this time of year as well. Would definitely return. Annie was extremely responsive as well.

Our family enjoyed a great break in the mountains near Cashiers and Lake Glenville. Cool nights with shooting stars, great hikes viewing waterfalls and good times on the lake. House was a treat. Spent most of our time on the back porch with the humming birds!

Overall, we had an amazing stay at this property! We had a group of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) and everyone fit comfortably inside. The kids loved the bunk room on the garden level! However, no one spent much time inside because the views from the back porch were breathtaking. The large swing was a perfect spot for an afternoon nap. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed. We enjoyed cooking every dinner together as a family. The house was close to Cashiers for shopping, restaurants, farmers market and grocery store but also close to trails for hiking, white water rafting and boating! The owners were so kind and easily accessible. You can tell they take such pride in their home and that they too enjoy it with their family. We can’t wait to go back again. Our kids have already asked us to plan a trip back for Thanksgiving!

As we drove up the long and curvy road to The Nest, I wondered if we were going to be too remote. But, now in retrospect, it couldn’t have been more perfect! As grandparents, we were most interested in making Thanksgiving momentous. And, it was just that. We enjoyed each other like no other trip before. The scenery was beautiful and we got to share a different nature experience with our kids and grandkids. The home was very clean and roomy enough for 8 adults and four children comfortably. The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook a feast Ajax sit down at the table that was ample in size enough to accommodate our family. The children’s favorite experience was watching the white squirrels in the trees, they really are well known in the area. My favorite was sitting by the fire with my grandchildren drinking hot chocolate. And We appreciated the board games, it proved to be great quality time when it rained on one day. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting to make incredible memories.

We celebrated my Mother’s 75th birthday at this wonderful house! Everything from start to finish was great...reserving the house, communication with the owner and the weekend itself! The house is extremely well appointed and the layout works so well. The views are truly spectacular...breathtaking really! It’s a short 13 minute drive into Cashiers where we had lunch at Ugly Dog (highly recommend) and then did a little shopping. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at this cabin and hope we have the opportunity to do so again in the near future!

This was the perfect vacation home! Gorgeous view, well-appointed, fabulous kitchen for cooking in, comfortable furniture, everything we needed. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area!

Wonderful home, wonderful time for our family. Amazing mountain and sunrise views! Very peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. Location was ideal for us. Close enough to trials, shops and restaurants. The inside and outside of house very clean and well maintained. It is evident the owners take pride in their home as did previous guests. Different levels allow for privacy when alone time is desired. Played ping pong and the games provided. Our four day stay went by way too fast, thank you for sharing your home. Would definitely rent again.

You know how rating systems have been compromised by too-easily-given five star reviews and too personalized and whiney one or two star reviews? Well, this is a true five star experience. The place is lovely and truly top of the line for vacation homes in the area. The view is astounding. The house is new, decorated to current tastes, and clean, clean. The kitchen is very well stocked. The porch is enough to sooth you for days. And, the owner is an excellent communicator and very, very helpful. Oh...and the cool air that we went for was balm as were the millions of stars, viewed at height through clear and dark skies. This property is worth your very serious consideration is you are looking for a restful restorative break!

Wonderful spot for family to vacation and enjoy the outdoors! This home is lovely -- super comfortable and well outfitted-- it has the best porch and view in the mountains! Great location for all outdoor activities...hiking, boating, relaxing outdoors.

This is a wonderful home with plenty of room to spread out. Awesome kitchen, very comfortable beds, nice linens and large bathrooms. For us the porch was the best place to spend time together. The swing bed was great and so very relaxing! Home owner shared great instructions to get there. Fun shopping and restaurants within a relatively short drive and the Ingles Is well supplied. Very Nice Place

This is house was perfect for our two families! I really enjoyed having my morning coffee out on the deck each morning. The views are AMAZING! The host was very responsive and flexible with us. Easy drive to go hiking and get dinner. Can’t wait to come back!

We took the family for a mountain getaway to celebrate Christmas. There were 7 adults in our party, and to a person, everyone was thrilled with the choice of this cabin. The home has been updated and decorated beautifully with modern touches that do not detract from a mountain cabin experience. And as the photos attest, the mountain views do not disappoint. The open feel of the main level was perfect for our group and the cabin is outfitted with all of the appliances, kitchen ware, sheets, towels that you will ever need. Everything about the place is impeccable clean and very comfortable. As a bonus, the hosts, Anne & Kevin are two of the most accommodating and communicative hosts we have every had the pleasure of dealing with thru our many VRBO experiences. They took special concern that our trip would be as enjoyable as it was. And it certainly was quite a memorable and enjoyable experience. Too bad there is not a 6th star rating, this place deserves it! We would return in a heartbeat, maybe summer next time!

My 4 adult children, husband, daughter in law, future daughter in law at 18 month grandson made wonderful memories during our stay in this extraordinary home.. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms updated and clean. I loved cooking and baking in the most fabulous well stocked kitchen with plenty of extras and amazing cookware! The views were beautiful! The provided hiking book gave us some great ideas on our 3 days of hiking. Thanks for the Best mountain trip our family has ever had!!
