My husband, two teenagers and I had a great stay at Jim’s place. The house was great for hanging out and relaxing. We loved eating on the deck, reading on the comfortable living room furniture and spending time in the hot tub. We were a 5-minute drive to town and could get anywhere in Lake Tahoe within an hour or so (depending on traffic). Jim was an excellent host, providing access to beach chairs and inflatable tubes as well as good recommendations for nearby activites and restaurants. We hope to come back someday!

We had the absolute best stay with Jim. Incredible hospitality and communication. The property was very spacious and Jim made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here!

The property is in a great location, a few miles from Tahoe City and Kings Beach. It’s also very close to Skylandia State Park Beach. Jim is a great host, very communicative and help with local advice and suggestions. The house is well equipped and comfortably accommodated 6 adults.

Jim's Tahoe City castle is the perfect place to stay. Miles of hiking/biking/snowshoeing right up the street, all the amenities of Tahoe City a short drive away, and the public lake access less than a 20 min walk. The house is also outfitted with a killer sound system and a great library of books/movies. Even more impressive was Jim's hospitality! He made us feel at home and gave us help when we needed, offering all kinds of tips, and left us plenty of privacy. We stayed for a month, but I'd recommend it for any duration!

Larger than we needed (this place could easily handle 6-8) but finding rental with a nice outdoor hot tub always limits our searches. All nice, clean, comfortable and nice outdoor grille which we used. Also close to Tahoe City, where we had three nice dine IN dinners, and we toured many spots all along Tahoe North coast, from West to East side.

Nice home. Comfortable patio with Jacuzzi. Jim the property owner was very friendly and always available for questions or assistance.

My husband and I, along with our two pups, had an amazing stay here and will be back! The property was very nice and the location was perfect. Very close to downtown Tahoe City and only minutes away from the beach and great hiking options. We enjoyed using the BBQ grill on the property and loved having use of the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Jim was a great host, always available to answer any questions and was very welcoming. We can't to come back!

We really enjoyed our time here. It was the perfect getaway from the city during this pandemic and we were able to work and enjoy all that North Lake has to offer. Jim was a great host!

Cute space with tremendous location. So close to awesome network of trails on Dollar Point, close to Tahoe City today n peaceful neighborhood.

This is a great property and Jim was a wonderful host! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, grill, and comfy reclining couches during our stay. Jim was very responsive to all our needs and made us feel at home. We look forward to staying here again!

Had a fabulous time here over New Year's! We're a family with a toddler, and it was fantastic being a <10-minute drive away to the grocery store and Tahoe City. The house is clean and the kitchen was stocked with convenient goods, and the owner was highly communicative and checked in with us to make sure that we had everything with needed. Would definitely recommend!

Went as a family of 6 for Thanksgiving. The property was spacious enough that we had our own time. It was very warm and cosy especially with all the snow outside. The hot tub was great too. Will definitely be back again

Our kids loved the extra large bunk beds and hot tub. Great place to sit in the hot tub after a full day of skiing. Nice quiet neighborhood and still close to all downtown shops and stores. We’ll go back.

Our family came in from Illinois, Philadelphia and Berlin to enjoy a week together of relaxation and birthday celebrations. Initially disappointed that we were unable to go to Yosemite due to forest fires, we chose Tahoe as our 2nd choice and we are glad that we did. When we arrived Jim greeted us and gave us a quick overview of the electronics, lighting internet etc. as well as a few area activities and bikes and rafts etc. We found the home to very clean, with up to date appliances and furnishings. The deck with gas grill, slate topped dining table, lounge chairs and spacious hottub were a definate plus. Though the the air quality and visibility were a bit rough the first couple of days, it eventually returned to normal levels, Great week, we highly recommend it.

The overall experience was great .The hot tub was awesome. The house had everything the family needed. The only negative was the upstairs queen bed not a fan! Would recommend this property.

Great location, just a few miles from Tahoe City. The owner is great - super responsive and helpful. The place is lovely, the patio with hot tub is the star, along with the living room - amazing reclining couches, great TV/system with dish network and premium channels. We spent most of our time on the patio and enjoying the living room setup. Note that while it's listed the owner lives next door (he was out of town during our stay, but rented it out to friends), there is also an apartment downstairs that has full-time renters. While we didn't run into them on our stay, I could hear the baby crying at night and they were doing construction/drilling until almost 9pm on Saturday night, so I was a little disappointed to not have a truly quiet and relaxing experience. Note that during the summer, the house can get quite hot, so opening windows and keeping blinds shut during the day was key to a cool night's sleep.

Nice ,comfortable home. Easy to spread out. Short drive to town and walkable if you choose. Owner is kind and pleasant to deal with. Nice family vacation spot.

The property was easy to get to, close to Tahoe City and walking distance to the water. Jim, the owner lives next door. He was was there to greet us, offered bikes, rafts, hiking ideas etc. He was available if needed, but also not seen if this is not your desire. The home was attractive, clean, comfortable and roomy, enough for three couples. My only suggestion is have a fan in the loft for air flow (was warm at night) and curtains on the bathroom window, Early morning direct sunlight is blinding. It's a 5 star discounting those two comments.
