My family spent a week in April at the Grand Slam House and it did not disappoint. Communication with Dirk was super-fast and his website (grandslamhouse.com) provided us with some fantastic restaurant and activity recommendations. The house is super clean and large enough for our multi-generation family but still provides multiple cozy spaces. We hang out in the kitchen and living room (all the necessary supplies such as pots and pans are provided, so well equipped) and the kids stayed in the basement playing Foosball. We had beautiful weather, allowing us to spend time outside enjoying the beautiful view of the lake from the deck and backyard. We also went hiking, had a trip to the indoor pools at Kalahari (just a couple of minutes away) and went for bowling and escape room. At night we used the fire pit to make some smores and just watched the stars. We had such a wonderful time that we already booked a summer week directly with Dirk to come back to the Grand Slam House.

Great location for our family from 3 states to meet up. Home was spacious, clean, and has plenty of space for all to be comfortable. Kids enjoyed the lower level with the football table.

This was a great home for a weekend with friends. Everyone was comfortable and there was enough space for eight of us to gather to watch sports. The kitchen appliances were really great quality.

A lovely stay at a fantastic home! I went with my adult siblings, partner, & senior family members. The layout of the house was perfect for us. The "kids" had the lower level & my folks & aunt stayed on the main floor. It worked out very well for everyone! The house was very clean when we got there. There were a few very minor issues (dishwasher wasn't run, grill wasn't cleaned/maintained properly, etc.) that we brought to the attention of the owner. He responded very quickly & assured us they wouldn't be our problem. None of these things affected our stay. The kitchen was spacious & the dining area fit all of us. It had everything we needed. Having three bathrooms on one level was convenient. The multiple access points to the outdoors made things convenient too. We loved the ample outdoor seating options (tall bar height chairs with cushions to go with a high top table, plastic recliners & Adirondack style chairs upstairs, along with an outdoor dining table set in the downstairs patio with more Adirondack style chairs). The firepit was a great size for our group as well. A few things to note-- the main level bathrooms had mediocre water pressure so be patient; there are multiple thermostats in the lower level so make sure to adjust those if you have people in those rooms; there is no Keurig/k-cup machine; the decorative candle holder hanging above the master bath tub is a bit low so watch your head; Jubilee is a little over a mile walk (very safe walk - it's all in the neighborhood)! The host was fantastic with communication, both before & during the trip. He really helped us feel comfortable in his home. I hope we can come back again!

Great house. Perfect for family vacation

This home was perfect for our family. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. All did a ton of fishing during the days and played games at night.

The location was excellent, my only concern is the steps on the deck are tilling down

Great time at this beautiful lake house. Kids and adults had an awesome time spending hours ice skating and playing hockey on our own private rink on the lake. Would love to see it in the warm weather as well.

A wonderful place to awaken to a white Christmas. Views of the lake are spectacular and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. It’s close to anything you want in the poconos but you may be perfectly content to sit by the fire and waste the hours away with the ones you love.

This is a comfortable, clean, and well equipped house. Minor issues were addressed quickly and the communication with the owner was great.

Even staying here in winter the lake view make out stay very peaceful. Exactly what our family was looking for. Owners were easy to communicate with and the home was spotless.

A wonderful place to awaken to a white Christmas. Views of the lake are spectacular and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. It’s close to anything you want in the poconos but you may be perfectly content to sit by the fire and waste the hours away with the ones you love.

The home was well supplied with cleaning supplies, paper products, and kitchen items. We brought our own paper products and cleaning supplies to support what was there. You will love this home and the view of the lake!

House is very spacious on a beautiful setting. Good location. Has good bones. Corresponding with host was easy and prompt. Furniture could use updating. Carpeting was soiled in spots. Stovetop was damaged - had to ask if it was safe to use. White plastic lounge chairs on deck are moldy including cushions. Shower curtain in basement bathroom was moldy and sink was not draining. Screened in patio on basement level was appealing on site - but we were unable to use it due to rain coming into it from the roof of it which was actually the floor of the upper deck which was not sealed or rainproofed - prevented us from using the screened in patio. Overall rate and fees were pretty high - we expected more for the $$$

The large open living space was a great place to gather for cooking, eating, socializing, napping, with a great view of the lake. WE did not visit Kalahari or join the club. Our children would head down to the lake, jump in a kayak or on the board and head out, sometimes singing as they went. Everything about this property was lovely. Dirk was great, beautiful lake, well appointed. Plenty of room for 3 families with young children. Can't recommend it enough!

This was a great house for us to spend a week with our adult children. The house was very clean and well appointed. The location on the lake was beautiful. The amenities were awesome with 2 kayaks, a paddle board, fire pit, dock, fishing, corn hole, board games, gas grill.... We also took advantage of the nearby attractions: Kalahari Waterpark, casino, hiking trails, ziplining, outlet mall and golf courses. So much to do so little time! You won’t regret staying here. Dirk, the owner, was very responsive to any of our questions.
