We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful with beautiful views of the lake, and it more than adequately housed the 14 of us. We enjoyed the water, playing in the game room, conversations in the large common areas, and a bonfire each night. The kitchen was fully stocked and allowed us to easily prep all of our meals. Carol and Katie were responsive to our needs. We would love to come again!

This is our second year for 6 couples to gather for a long weekend - such a wonderful property and a wonderful time was had by everyone!

Twelve if us. Three foursomes. Fun, fellowship and golf. House was perfect. Hope Carol let’s us in again next year.

We stayed at this property visiting one of our daughters at Clemson. The communication with the property manager was excellent. The house exceeded our expectations. The upstairs indoor / outdoor area was great for family meals and hanging out together. Everyone enjoyed the lake and beach area, including the paddle boards and kayak that were included with the stay. We also enjoyed the fire pit. The house was close enough to Clemson as well, so we were easily able to enjoy the campus and tailgating for the football game. This house will definitely be on our list for future trips down to the area.

The house is amazing! Kitchen is extremely well stocked. Nice pans, pots, knives, vegetable peelers, lime juicer, and anything else you need. I loved the multiple refrigerators. This house is ready to host. We also had a malfunction that needed attention, and we received the best communication and help throughout the process. Carol immediately got people over to fix it. This was very appreciated. Thanks for providing a great place for our family for the week!

True definition of a lake house! Came with all the amenities and had all necessary equipment to make any meal easy to prepare We all want to go back!

This house was fabulous, exactly as described. With its beautiful view over the lake, covered decks and high ceilings, the house felt spacious and light. A private beach and paddle boards and kayaks, makes it the perfect lake house for a large family.

The ceilings are ten feet or so, which means that the pictures make this house look much smaller than it is. Very well-marked instructions, reasonable rules, very helpful property manager. INCREDIBLE views of the lake. We will be back! PS- loved the peach and quiet.

This 6 bedroom home was everything you would want in a house and more. The amazing chef’s kitchen was perfect for everyone to gather in and enjoy meals together while watching the sunset over the lake. The outdoor fire pit was lovely to sit around even in November. We hope to return again someday.

Great views! Perfect for groups or multi-family vacations. There is plenty of spaces to spread out and each bedroom has it’s own bathroom. We were there for a Clemson Football game with sorority sisters and some husbands. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

It was a great experience staying in this lovely home. The kitchen and house are fully equipped with everything that you possibly can think of. I think it was one of the best lake views I've seen. And a big pro is that it has its private beach, kayaks, and paddleboards. The house is pretty spacious. We had a company of 20 People, and everyone felt comfortable in there. By the way, the water in the lake is still warm to swim in in the middle of October. My only recommendation to the homeowner is to install the hot tub for the winter guests ))))

Well located easy access large home on pristine Lake Keowee. Perfect for multi-generational family get together to enjoy relaxed outdoor lifestyle. We loved it so much, everyone was sad to leave and anxious to return in the future.

The house was a perfect get away for all. The beach access was great for the children and the dock was a huge plus for the little fisherman. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of storage and refrigeration for our large group. Owner and property manager were awesome to deal with and made this our best vacation yet. Even with a broken wrist and surgery the first day at the waterfall (be aware of slippery mossy rocks) we still had plenty of room to continue our vacation and take care of our loved one. I would recommend this home and sad we can’t book for next year because it is sold out.

This house was really great, we will definitely stay here again! We had 7 adults and 2 kids (both under 2) in our group and we had more than enough room. The private "beach" on property was great for the kids, we really enjoyed having kayaks included, the kitchen was huge and made making meals together easy, we rented a boat and tied up to the dock easily, and the open floor plan on the main floor made it easy to entertain kids while all still being together. Our group agreed that the pictures on Vrbo don't do the place justice. The lakes views were amazing and we didn't realize how big the house was until we got there. Also, Jennifer was an excellent communicator before, during, and after the stay. Thank you so much!

We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The house is exactly as advertised - very clean, spacious, very well stocked and many activities to keep you busy, as well as a beautiful setting. Property manager could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely look to rent again. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival we were amazed at the home, how spacious and beautifully decorated it is. It was what our family needed and more! We could tell the home owner put so much detail into the property in considering every ones needs. This is truly the ultimate vacation home. We will be going back to make some more family memories. Lovely home and perfect for large family gatherings. We had 10 family members up to celebrate graduation and all were comfortable and happy. The fire pit was a beautiful setting for cozy fires in the cool weather.

What a great surprise for my family to arrive and they had Christmas decoration up and a kitchen that any cook would die for! We had a warm and wonderful 4th annual Christmas gathering. Plenty room for everyone and the weather was perfect! Happiest of Holidays to all!

Beautiful spacious home with a great location on the lake. Large private bedrooms. Really appreciated the large kitchen & dining areas. Kitchen was stocked well with dishes, glasses and cooking essentials. Having the 2 large refrigerators & the smaller breakfast/beverage refrigerator upstairs plus the additional full size refrigerator downstairs was awesome. We had plenty of room to store food /beverage for the long weekend. Overall a FABULOUS home and experience. One maintenance note...the railing on side of deck leading to the gas grill seems loose and could be a potential liability hazard.

As a family of 15 with young children this was an excellent place for us to connect as a family. The beach area was great for the children. The ability for each couple to get into their own suite was a nice feature. Jennifer was easy to deal with and very helpful. We will definitely consider returning to this home for future vacations.

The house was AMAZING. It had everything we could have wanted. The lake and all of the amenities provided by the owner definitely made our vacation memorable. Our only real issue was that the grill was not clean enough to grill on until we cleaned it! I’m sure that hat the cleaners will not let that happen again.

This is a truly wonderful home in a beautiful location, on the shore of Lake Keowee. We are a large family and have traveled together to many places throughout the country and around the world. In terms of a single home for a large group this is the best. The home itself Is beautiful, extremely well appointed and has everything one could possibly need. Lake Keowee is a large, clean lake and the location of the house is outstanding. Having its own small sand beach was a big plus for us with a number of small children. The house is close to the water so you could see the kids very easily from both the upper and lower deck areas. Often, the large lake homes are further from the lake and have steep walks to the docks; not the case here. The home is very well laid out and spacious, perfect for large groups to get together—or spread out. We could not recommend this home more highly. Also, Jennifer, the Property Manager, was a pleasure to deal with every step of the way. We already have plans to return next year.

We are thankful to say this was our second visit (1st was Thanksgiving 2018) to Big Water Villa! This time we were able to use the lake and all the extra outside amenities offered at this amazing home! The house is perfect in so many ways! Comfortable beds, linens too! Bathrooms in each bedroom, kitchen has every appliance plus so much more you need to accommodate feeding a large family! Every part of this house is so welcoming and so pleasing to the eye! We rented a boat & jet-ski, which the house has a dock very accommodating for both. The area where the house is located on the lake was not busy like we thought it maybe due to holiday weekend. This was great for our grandchildren and other family members to tube, wake board, paddle board or just hangout on the private beach area. With all the craziness of 2020, we are so thankful and blessed to have spent this much needed week at Big Water Villa and so appreciate Jennifer and the Sommerville's for welcoming us! We hope to rent again in the near future!

We established a tradition in our family of taking a family vacation every year that we have a grandchild graduate from high school. My husband passed away in 2019 and now we have decided to do family vacations every year and just celebrate God and our family. This home was more than adequate for the 13 of us with plenty of room. The main kitchen was AMAZING and perfect for our large group. The dock for our pontoon rental was great, the provided paddle boards and kayaks were a big hit with the grandchildren, ages 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 18, 19 and 21. The spacious deck was terrific for meals with plenty of seating. Just a perfect family lake experience! Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

Our stay could not have been better! From initial inquiries to this review, the stay was perfect! The home was outstanding! The space is perfect for larger groups: 3 ovens, 4 refrigerators, plenty of gathering room and amazing outdoor space made for a great Mother’s Day weekend with family and friends. I, by nature, will find something that could be better, but with this home, I can’t. Amazing hospitality from beginning to end made us feel right at home.

Property was exactly as described—well maintained and equipped. Communication with property manager was excellent. She was reachable by email, phone, and text. Very thorough, professional, and friendly at all times.
