First trip to OBX and this house made our experience an incredible one. Fabulous walking/ (rental) beach cruising location to beach, decks for meals and family gatherings, spacious open clean kitchen and family room, extra beach chairs and accessories - and excellent communication and responsiveness from host. Wonderful resort community and house perfect for extended family vacation. We will be back (and cannot wait!)

Lots of spaces to gather, or to be apart. Well equipped kitchen made meal prep easy. Comfy quiet bedrooms what more could we ask!

This house was beautiful with great yard space, a fantastic location, lots of beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very helpful host. Because it’s on a resort there are a few more rules than usual but that wasn’t a problem for us, and the amenities make it worth it. There’s so much to do! The house was a great hangout spot at the end of the day.

Good location. Proximity to shops and features was very helpful. Separate masters on each floor was great for our large group.

House is nothing short of spectacular. It’s very spacious, clean, well decorated and upscale. Very easy to use with nice decks, hammock, bbq, outside shower. The location is fantastic close to pool, beach , restaurants, can use bikes to get anywhere, explore the sound side and light tower , go to beach and pool, and book tennis ans surf lessons. Kitchen is well stocked and a chefs kitchen. Barbara is very easy to work with and responsive. We had zero issues. Perfect stay.

This home welcomed us in for a week of laughter and family fun time. We had 4 littles (5, 2, 2, infant) and 4 adults. It was very spacious. The house is a 5 min walk to the beach (even with all the kids stuff!). We usually spent a few beach hours swimming and watching dolphins, then headed to the kid pool. The other pools are huge, but the kid pool is the treasure. A large 1-3ft section that let our littles have the best time. Us adults could order drinks and snacks. It was the perfect week!!

The house was even more impressive than the pictures and right next to the beach, the pool and the Corolla Light Village so we could walk or bike everywhere. Barbara was great and shared with us some great recommendations for thing to do and places to go and even a photographer for family photos on the beach. It was like a home away from home!

My family and I stayed here late June of 2019. We were welcomed to a beautiful home that was from top to bottom clean and inviting. The large kitchen area was enough for us (12) to have meals together and hang out. They truly had everything you could need to cook with there and ready to use. The decks around the house made it easy to find a quiet nook to read or enjoy some company. The bedrooms are a great size and perfect for larger families so that everyone can have their own space and bathrooms (a bonus!) We appreciated the washer and dryer to use throughout the week for suits and towels and the occasional load of laundry. We had two toddlers and it was close to the beach and the pool area. We did bring a foldable wagon which I highly suggest doing if you have little ones to walk down. The resort was so nice and gave everyone something to look forward to. The pools are a great size and we loved that they had a little kids pool for the children. The owner of the house, Barbra, was so kind and answered all the questions we had before we arrived and even helped us out with a TV issue during our stay. She made sure we were taken care of for sure! We would highly recommend staying here! It was truly a delight and a place where our family made some great memories.

The location was perfect. Close to both beach and pool. Corolla Light had everything we needed and the house was beyond our expectations. It had every kitchen item we could possibly use, and the house was very clean and suited our family of 10 perfectly.

The house was very nice comfortable. Great access to the beach or the sound side. The kitchen had an excellent stock of utensils and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were dark for sleeping when shades were closed. We had a terrific stay at Beack Parfait and will rent this house again.

This is funny, because I am the owner of this house. Of course I think it's the best, and I'm not sure why VRBO wanted me to rate it. Stay with us sometime and see for yourself. The off-season is coming up and that means lower rates.

Our week long stay was wonderful. The home is beautiful , very organized, very clean, and so comfortable. It was an open floor plan which we love. Barbara was very responsive and her attention to detail made our week so relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to renting this home again!!!

So many good things to say about this rental! First, the resort is outstanding. There are many scheduled activities, beach chair & umbrella rentals, and storage lockers on the beach if you don’t want to bring gear back and forth each day. The resort was not overwhelmingly large, offered plenty of beach space for each group, and occasionally servers from the on-site restaurant would come around on the beach to deliver food and drink orders. Beach Parfait was perfect for our needs! It had plenty of space, a full bath for each of the 4 bedrooms we used, comfortable beds, was WELL appointed, had 2 huge decks, an awesome grill, and a great kitchen/DR/living room space. The caretakers were very responsive (we called to ask them to repair the broken hinge on the top deck gate and they came out that same day). The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is because of the AC. The house guidelines said that the top floor would be warm and the bottom floors cool but we found the exact opposite. The top floor was too cold at times and the bottom floors too warm (even with the supplied fans). The thermostats were locked at 69 degrees so we couldn’t make the lower floors cooler. We thought about turning off the AC and taking advantage of the amazing breezes but we couldn’t get the windows on the lower level to open. Otherwise we would definitely recommend this house -- thank you, Beach Parfait!! Some advice for others: 1) Driving in to the resort, don’t listen to GPS if it wants to take you through neighborhood streets; stay on the main road until you reach Route 12 and then head north. The side road traffic was a nightmare on Saturday. 2) Do listen to Barbara’s advice to bring dinner for Saturday if possible. We didn’t go grocery shopping until Sunday and still found the stores to be a bit of a madhouse. 3) Recognizing that every storm is different, don’t be discouraged from visiting during hurricane season. Hurricane Chris parked itself off the Outer Banks during our visit and if you had looked at the weather maps you might have thought our vacation was ruined. In fact the weather was amazing! We saw very little rain until we went down to the Hatteras lighthouse and had some incredibly beautiful days. The only impact was that we couldn’t go swimming for two days because of rip currents (but the resort pool was available instead).

Beach Parfait is a wonderful beach house. It has everything you could need for a perfect vacation. Close walk or bike ride to the beach access or pool areas. It's very roomy and charming. Corolla Light has beautiful facilities and location. It's a great place for the kids to enjoy biking. This was a return visit for us and we totally enjoyed it. My adult daughters and their families joined me. We had 5 adults and 5 children and the house was a great size for all of us. The kids were already talking about next year on the way home!

We loved our stay at Beach Parfait! The house was spotless and welcoming. All the appliances were working well, the washer and drier were new, as was the outside grill, with a full tank of gas. The bedrooms each had their own bathroom, which gave us plenty of privacy. The upstairs gathering room was spacious, with comfortable seating. I would highly recommend this home, to anyone who wants a special week to remember.We will certainly come again. Becki W

We would highly recommend VRBO and this property. It was such an easy process to book. We have stayed on this property more than once and would definitely choose it again.

Staying at Beach Parfait was a perfect choice for our family of 7 adults, one teen, and a 2 month old! The spacious layout gave everyone privacy, it was extremely clean, and it was beautifully decorated in classic beach cottage style. We especially enjoyed the short walk to the beach as we have previously rented homes on the Sound side. Additional bonus was communicating with Barbara, the owner, who was extremely responsive to emails and even a phone call we made about a health crisis that could have prevented us from making the trip. She was really super to work with. I highly recommend this home, and we would definitely choose it again.

Perfect beach house for big families having 3 floors with sleeping quarters allowed for privacy. Great if you have younger children because it is a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back!! Ms Thomas was quick to reply to our questions. Our week did not have any glitches. The Corolla Light community has many activities and amenities as well

It was disappointing to have to bring extra things along with us like kitchen towels and soap, hand soap for all of the bathrooms, extra bath towel sets if we didn't want to have to do laundry. I had to bring an extra suitcase for all these things; at least the owner told me in an email that these things would be needed. I think basics like bathroom soap, washcloths, etc. should be provided.

Don't second guess, go with beach parfait! The place is exactly as the pictures show. We had a great time! The beach is only two blocks away (not a bad walk at all). Bicycling in the neighborhood is super fun and very kid friendly. Owner was super responsive and very kind. The community pool is perfect. We also enjoyed the hot tub and short walks over to the bay side. I would certainly stay here again!

Third time staying here. This time for Thanksgiving and it was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. Great open kitchen for cooking, nice comfortable rooms and the two floors of decks are just great. Beach is a short walk and 4x4 access is just a short drive. Barbara could not be more accommodating. Everyone had a wonderful time again and we hope to be back soon!
