Very clean accommodation, friendly host, convenient for the town. The hot drink on arrival and breakfast supplies were much appreciated. Free parking on site. Useful to have a fridge in the room.

The shower and bathroom are small.

The location was perfect and the room nice and quiet which is what I wanted as I'm a light sleeper. I would describe the room as comfortable rather than luxurious which is what I hoped for. There was a TV and ensuite loo and shower. Because of Covid 19 constraints, breakfast was cereal and the small fridge equipped with milk and orange juice. I would have quite liked a couple of rolls, some butter and cheese as well and I'm sure that had I asked Carol would have obliged. The interesting thing about Heatherbell cottage is that the rooms are on a single level but for somebody with a disability there are two fearsome steps down to the front door with no handrail and this is the one change that I would like to see to help those of us less steady on their feet. My room and I believe the other rooms opened out onto a private veranda. I have no reservations about recommending Heatherbell Cottage and hope to visit again before too long

Breakfast disappointing cereal and banana

French window to private boarded terrace that was a wonderful sun trap! Quirky features in entrance hall incuding ex ship's engineroom telegraph used as doobell! Hamper used to provide breakfast things including plates, bowls, cutlery, etc.; left outside in morning and replenished by evening. We hope to stay here again in 2022.

Washbasin in separate space from loo and shower-room. This is being a bit picky as the washbasin was very close to shower-room door and there were obvious limitations to conversion of room.

Very cosy, and comfortable!

Great location, perfect host, and the best nights sleep I’ve ever had. The bed/pillows was very comfy, breakfast hamper was a lovely touch, and the room provided everything we would need. Only a short walk to the beach/pier which was perfect. Our host was lovely and welcoming, she made sure we had everything we needed!

The location is perfect, easy walking distance to the town .

The shower never worked properly, they said it was low pressure but unfortunately it had no pressure for the entire stay . Washed using the hand sink .

Location was brilliant. Quiet, to be able to park on the drive was key as we came on motorbikes. Easy walk to all of West Bay. Clean & tidy, comfy bed & bed linen. Nice to have a mini fridge. Thoughtful breakfast pack in place of cooked breakfast. Lovely to have shared decking area to sit out. Extra items to sanitise ourselves left in the room which was positive.

Being picky, the bathroom was a little dated. The shower pressure struggled if other guests were also showering (I assume). If others came and went out of the front door it was noisy for a few moments due to the hard floor & front door next to our room (but there where not lots of coming and going).

The position of accommodation was excellent for walking to beach and coastal path. The fact car could be parked and left at accommodation for stay was a bonus.

Quirky B&B in the best location within a couple minutes to West Bay. Lovely room with terrace and breakfast area( tables/ chairs in room too) we both slept really well for our 4 night stay. Shower room is snug but that would never particularly bother us. Lovely host who ok’d an impromptu visit from family on the terrace. We had a nice breakfast hamper in light of covid which was fine for us. West Bay has an array of food choices and you can take out to your room as we had table chairs in and out and crockery/ cutlery due to the breakfast arrangements. Would stay again-Would love to hire all rooms for family friends (no kids) a peaceful little haven. We loved West Bay- can’t wait to return!
