We loved this house. Great location, comfortable furnishings, great communication from the owner. Ocean Beach is a totally chill beach town with lots of authentic dive bars, high-end restaurants, great beach, and locally owned shops within 2-3 minute walk. Plus, all of the famous San Diego sights are within 20 minute drive.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the ocean. Very well located condo, easy walking to supermarket, restaurants, fun shops and the beautiful OB Pier. Also lots of surf shops. We had a great time and our host left us lots of condiments and supplies. He is a very responsive communicator as well.

The property is walking distance to downtown ocean beach which is very convenient. There are condiments and spices so you do not need to purchase every little thing when cooking which is really nice. They had treats for us when we arrived which was really nice. Overall nice place for a getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Great location and easy walk to the beach, restaurants, groceries. Also nice to have a parking space. Everything was as expected. No complaints!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home. The views are breathtaking and we loved walking to the pier and restaurants. Ate at The Cliffs Cafe on Sunset Cliffs Road every morning! Thanks for your hospitality and special touches

Jimmy’s property is perfectly appointed and in a perfect location in OB. We loved hearing the waves, seeing the water, and being able to walk anywhere and everywhere. We didn’t want to leave!

The pictures do not do this place justice. This is the most amazing view. The home is very comfortable and roomy. Kitchen was very handy. If you want to touch the water, you have to climb some stairs or take a short walk to the beach/pier area. The tidal pools are fun if you go down. It's a very close walk to anything you could want, which is great since the parking at Ocean Beach is limited. Since the edge of the cliff is public property with easy access from the street, there were some privacy issues, especially at sunset. We didn't feel like we could leave doors and windows open while we were asleep, but the air conditioners helped with that. The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns. You will hear a lot of planes directly overhead from 6:30am until 10:30pm. We had to pause our conversations for them while on the porch, but that's what we had to endure to be close to MCRD and Ocean Beach with amazing views of the sunsets and sounds of the ocean. Highly recommend!

This place is comfortable and has an inspiring view. We enjoyed excellent, prompt communication with the owner, and loved the well stocked kitchen. This is an excellent rental for playing in OB!

We enjoyed this wonderful condo more than expected. The place looks just like the photos and it is super clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and we cooked every dinner there so we could enjoy the views. There are only 2 units downstairs on the shared patio and the upper units stayed on their balconies. We used the BBQ and had plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. We went sailing from Shelter Island (3 miles away) for a 3 hour sail on "Sail San Diego." Ask for Captain Frank. We went to the Cabrillo lighthouse, tide pools below, and drove through the unbelievable veteran's cemetery before taking a walk along sunset cliffs. We go to San Diego frequently, but have not stayed in Ocean Beach before. What a mistake. We will be back to enjoy the local vibe and slower pace. Loved it! Jimmy was so helpful to answer our questions and we can't recommend this place enough.

We spent a few days at Jimmy's place and can't wait to go back. Jimmy is obviously detail-oriented. High quality appliances and utensils, soft linens, comfortable beds. It's an easy drive to mission beach, La Jolla, downtown, etc. but the real appeal is Ocean Beach. The house looks out on the ocean and we saw sailboats, dolphins, pelicans, etc. The view is simply beautiful and you could spend the whole day just lounging around looking out at the ocean on the patio or from the living room. The lifelong memory making portion of our trip came from our time on ocean beach itself which is about a 5 minute walk (less than half a mile depending on which route you take). It is a unique, funky, friendly community beach with the ocean beach pier as an interesting backdrop. Lots of cool shops and restaurants with live music and good food next to the beach and easily walkable (5-10 min walk) from the house.

We had a great stay! Place was very nice and loved hearing the waves crash on the rocks. Shout to our host who allowed us a later checkout for our late flight home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jimmy's Ocean Front Retreat. This was our second visit. We love the beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere!

If you want the Ocean Beach (OB) bohemian surfer town vibe then you can’t go wrong with this condo. Waterfront with amazing patio views, first floor living, nice split bed/bath plan, well appointed and great walk-ability to restaurants, bars and the basic necessities. Reserved off street parking included and is a lifesaver!

It was wonderful experience. My son and I enjoyed the ocean, walking on the beach and the sunset was amazing! The condo was well kept and everything we needed. Thanks Jimmy.

The condo is clean and beautiful and is exactly as the pictures show, the beds are really comfortable and there are tons of soft towels for the bathrooms which is rare in most vrbos we’ve rented. 2 bath condos are hard to find in this area so that is a real plus. the ocean is right in front of you and it’s so enjoyable just sitting on the huge patio with coffee or drinks just watching the waves crash in. We had a great time, thanks Jimmy for everything!!!

We had a great time at this Ocean Front Retreat! The views are Incredible! We were there during the "King Tides", which was an awesome experience. The waves took out a portion of the pier right by the condo, so there were many spectators and news crews. It was eventful! We could really hear the waves crashing loud with the sliding door open, which was awesome! It was pretty sound-proof inside with the doors closed, though. We slept great! The condo is in a great location, close to restaurants, bars and shops. It is clean, comfortable and has a great beach vibe. It was perfect for the stormy weather we had because it is up high on a cliff, so there was no threat of the high waves crashing in and flooding. Had the weather been nice, however, I would have preferred to be on the actual beach. Jimmy was very responsive to any questions we had. I will definitely recommend Jimmy's place to anyone I know who is going to San Diego for a few days. Our family members who joined us there truly enjoyed it as well! Great times with great people in a great place, creating great memories!

Perfect ocean view and exactly as the pictures show. We had a great stay for a couple days over Christmas. The place was even equipped with everything we needed to make several holiday meals.

The property was just as advertised, with an amazing view and comfortable accommodations. Jimmy made us feel very welcome. The neighborhood is fun and an easy walk to everything. We had a blast in Ocean Beach, would definitely come again!
