This was our 2nd stay at the Yellow Sub. It is a great location with all the amenities you can desire. Our group of 7 women enjoy all the outdoor areas from the beach front to the delightful pool. Plenty of room for us to enjoy a puzzle and games on one table and still have the other for our meals. We are already planning our next mini vacation getaway!! Ken and Betty are wonderful to work with. Can’t express in words how much we love it here!!! ❤️

This is our 2nd year renting, and we would, never consider going anywhere else! It’s stocked with everything you need, and with the open floor plan, it accommodates large group for the dining room/living room area. It an awesome house!

This is a beautiful house right on the beach. We had a small family reunion. Two large dining tables provided plenty of room for eating. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Easy access. Thank you!

We have vacationed with my husbands family all over the Carolinas and this house set up was BY FAR the best we have ever had. The pictures don't do it justice at all. Everything was clean, well maintained, this house had EVERYTHING you needed. The location was perfect. steps from the beach and the pool was right under the house which was ideal. We had 7 adults and 4 toddlers and just had the best time with PLENTY of space. Thank you again and we hope to book with you next summer!

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this house and the location! The views from all the decks on the back are wonderful. You can't ask for anything better then being beach front! Plus, this home is located right between two public beach access points, which makes the spot on the beach in front of the house pretty empty. At times, we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves! Owners were great. We had one minor issue with the elevator (user error) and they sent someone out within the hour! I hope we get the chance to stay at the Yellow Sub house again someday soon!

Yellow Sub offered the perfect beach location. Loved not having to lug beach chairs, umbrellas etc to the beach each day. The house had plenty of room and was very well stocked. We certainly appreciated having basic cleaning supplies and paper products provided. I was a little concerned as the pool was cloudy (from previous occupants) as we arrived and the ice maker did not work but the pool guy was already working on clearing it up as was the repairman for the ice maker. An unexpected plus was a bathroom near the pool. It was nice having smart tvs in all the bedrooms but the downside was slow internet.

Has all the amenities that we prefer when on vacation. The beach location is great since never really crowded in that area and the partially covered pool is a definite plus for the children.

I love Yellow Sub and Ocean Isle beach so much! As long as we can we will remain coming each year.

This property is more than the pictures show. The rooms are large enough to move around, and the beds are not cramped together. The house was very clean and the location is fantastic. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to come back again!

This place had it all (& then some). Checking in/out was a breeze. Once we arrived the place was super clean and VERY organized and actually had a little more there than listed (outdoor games/sand toys/beach chairs and umbrellas). One thing I would plan for would be to bring more bath towels or plan to wash often. There was only one towel per person (or bed size—1 for twin, 2 for queen/king/full). If you plan to max out the house (like we did) that’s 1 per person… not a huge deal though. Great house, great location. I 100% recommend this place! We will be coming back!

My friends and I have an annual beach trip and the Yellow Sub was by far the best home we've stayed in the 10+ years we have been doing this. We had a few rainy days so we spent time by the pool under cover. Amazing space in the luxury kitchen and living area. The views were fantastic and we can't wait to come back next year! We loved the house and all the nice amenities! It's well equipped and clean with everything you could need. Loved that each bedroom had it's own bath. The pool and decks were so great and we used them each day. It's just a short walk to the beach so very convenient. We'll definitely stay here again. Ken and Betty were very responsive and easy to work with. Thanks for a fabulous girls trip!

This house was amazing! The pictures do not do it justice . The owners were amazing to work with . I had my wedding here and its a wonderful place to have a wedding . Loved everything about it . I highly recommend for any family event! Would stay here again for sure . And it is equipped with everything you need !

When we first saw this property online, we could y lol it was very special. It more than met our expectations. The owners, Ken and Betty, were kind enough to meet us at the house a couple of months before our event so we could get some measurements and check it out in person. Wonderful house and terrific people. Our guests were amazed for the facility and many asked how we found it and how they could reserve. Most of us are over 60 and the elevator was a lifesaver. I understand the need for so many steps since it is a beach house, but it was nice to sometimes ride the elevator. The pool heater was not working when we arrived but I contacted the owners and people were there working on it in less than 30 minutes and we have many people enjoying nice warm water. Everything was very clean and we loved the laminated photos in the pantry to show where everything was so we knew where to put everything back. Great idea! Our only issue was not anything the homeowner could control or help, but we had about 56 guests attend our wedding (about 20 cars) and there was not enough parking. However, two of the wonderful neighbors told us we could park at their homes since they were not using their houses that day. There was public parking not too far away and we planned to shuttle guests, but all guests were able to park close thanks to the lovely neighbors. I highly HIGHLY recommend this property! I would not change anything about it! We hope to return although next time may not be quite as memorable as our wedding.

House is open and spacious for our 13 high school girlfriends from 1972. This is the best “well stocked” house ever!!!! Everything you need is there, and Ken and Betty really do an awesome job with decorating and furniture lay out for a large group. Other than, a few little things (from the people that stayed before us) the house was perfect!!!! Thank you Ken, for more than accommodating our needs. We want to book your place every year going forward at this same time! It is “a very taken care of lovely home.” I live inland here at OIB and you won’t find a better house!!!!!!Pencie Crews

Very clean!!! Beds are super comfortable! Pool area was fantastic! Large open floor plan. Close to the pier and activities and restaurants! Ice machine was a blessing! Elevator was a knee saver! We will be back! Absolutely loved it!!!

I would highly recommend staying at the Yellow Sub, plenty of room and the place is spotless. The owners are very accommodating and accessible. Five stars all the way in every category!

We came right after Hurricane Ian and there were a few small issues (pool heater not working, upstairs AC broken), but Ken got his maintenance folks there the same day and got everything fixed! The house was bigger than I thought from the pictures and had plenty of space for our family of 5 and two sets of grandparents. We enjoyed being steps from the beach, but also having a pool for the kids to play in! We are coming back next year!

The house was even better than we expected. The photos made it look smaller than it actually is. Full of appliances, dishes, start up necessities like hand soap, toilet paper, ect. The owners were great to work with, easy to communicate with. Absolutely, no complaints about this home!

You WILL NOT find a better house on OIB. The most beautiful house with plenty of room and amazing views. You can't beat ocean front and a pool. We are always so impressed with Ken and Betty and their communication and attention to detail. We love this house, it is an amazing property to make memories at! Thank you!

Lots of room, amazing kitchen, plenty of space in and outside the home. Great for our small wedding

The property is amazing. Very clean, spacious, and up to date. There were 8 adults and 10 kids everyone had plenty of room, and sleeping arrangements worked out great with having the bunk beds. The private pool was a hit with all the kids and the pool company did an excellent job keeping the pool clean and chemicals balanced properly. This will be our vacation home of choice when we return to Ocean Isle! Thanks Ken and Betty for an unforgettable family vacation.

Our family of five adult couples and four children seven years old and younger all had a wonderful time. The Yellow Submarine had all the amenities we needed. The beach in front was just right for us and all our fun and games. The pool was just what we needed for a post ocean dip. The Beatles theme is an added fun attraction . On a rainy day several of us enjoyed the surprisingly interesting natural museum. We plan to spend another trip on the Yellow Submarine OIB.

The Yellow Sub is fantastic in every respect. We have vacationed at the Yellow Sub for several years now. Our family loves this place. The owners, Ken and Betty are wonderful to work with. This is a beautiful property and everything we thought it would be. The home is beautiful and easily accommodated our family of 11 people. The proximity to the ocean with it’s own private boardwalk and pool were selling points! We would book this home again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time. This home was very well equipped! The only thing I would mention is if you are planning on using the main bedroom for an older person it is very high. (I did not measured but my guess is approx 30 inches high) for my 94 year old mom it was a challenge. I did not want her to have to do the steps or the elevator. They have towels to use for the beach and loads of toys. There were chairs, but always wonder if they will be in good condition. We would definitely book again if we decide to come back to ocean isle beach. Thank you Ken and Betty. Pat Theis

The best.

As usual the Yellow Sub is so much fun to stay in. The Yellow Sub has been the best beach house for the past 6 years since we started staying there. Pool is so fantastic too. We would also like to say how excellent the handyman service was. The trash can slider fell off the tracks and the dryer stopped working during our stay and he was able to fix both within a few hours.

Very easy.
