We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Quiet and peaceful! The view from the living area, masterbed room and especially the deck was stunning! A very easy walk to the beach and a short drive to St Helens. It was wonderful to have the electric blankets on the beds as it got very cool on one of the nights. We would definitely recommend Dolphin Lookout Cottage to anyone!

This house has everything we needed - very comfortable. Beds are lovely and bathrooms new, large and airy. House was very clean. Great views from just about every room. Short walk down to beach and Merestos for beach, coffee and food. Highly recommend this house.

My sister, my 83 year old mother and I stayed at Dolphin Lookout for a couple of days and honestly, we all wished it had been for a week! Superb location, great accomodation (everything we needed, well laid out and accessible for an elderly person) and really friendly management and locals. We had a ball and will be returning.

A wonderful Easter break
This property was the perfect place to stay over the Easter long weekend with our friends. The perfect amount of space for two young children to run around (and enjoy an Easter egg hunt!) and a safe deck area with the most amazing view. A wonderful location with a close walk to the beach.

Beautiful location, very comfortable cottage
Very impressive location and a very comfortable cottage with the perfect outlook to take advantage of the view. Loved the big deck and took advantage of it throughout our stay. Walking distance to the beach. A sit-down restaurant 3 minutes walk at the bottom of the hill has delicious food. Short drive to St Helens, some lovely bush walks and other attractions, including the oyster processing plant at Lease 65. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Very well equipped house. Fantastic view and so close to a beautiful beach. We only booked for two nights, wish we had booked the whole week. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Great location, but not in town
The proprty had great views and was very clean and comfortable. However, be aware there is no town per se, so you will need to bring all supplies with you (St Helens is a few kilometres away). The one restaurant is also closed both Tuesday and Wednesday, and it is better not to drive at night as there is wildlife all over the roads after dark.
Do a shop in St Helens, then have all your meals in the lovely house after exploring the bay.

Premium price for low quality
We felt the pictures portrayed a different aspect of the house. The cooking facilities were pretty basic with frypans not sitting flat on stove making cooking challenging, no decent wine glasses, lots of chipped cups and not enough crockery to go around. Overall the finish of the house is very basic and eclectic in feel. View was fabulous but it was to hot to sit outside during the day which could be easily remedied with a simple umbrella. We left a day early as it was disappointing. The one positive thing I can say it that the property manager was very helpful and I would definitely stay at one of their properties again, just not this one. A premium price for low quality on a renovation done very cheaply.

Amazing view and cottage
We spent a very enjoyable couple of nights at Dolphin Lookout. The view is really 'just to die for' and only enhanced when the sunset provides a reflection over the water. The cottage has very comfortable beds and has every imaginable need covered from kitchen utensils to comfy couch cushions on the outdoor lounges. The bathroom is very functional and finished to a high standard as is the kitchen. We could stay for a month a feel at home.

Best view in Tassie
One week was not enough! This place is absolutely breathtaking - incredible views, clean & comfy home, and close to the most beautiful beach. Jan was a lovely host, dealing with issues quickly & ensuring our stay went smoothly. I would 100% recommend this place to anybody wanting to experience this wonderful part of Tassie :) Thanks Jan, we will be back.

What a lovely place, the view is incredible. The house is so comfortable. We had 3 of us for one night, wish we could have stayed for a week! Perfect location. Really comfortable beds, linens are exquisite! Had everything you need, we ended up eating out, not cooking there, but you certainly could! Such a lovely place! Will definitely come back next time in Tassie and spend more time!
