This was the cleanest most well stocked vacation home I've rented in this area thus far. To start with the owner sent detailed check in, check out instructions prior to my trip even beginning, wonderful! Check in went smoothly, the place was perfect and extremely clean! The owner even had the fridge stocked with water, coffee creamer, sugar etc... There was plenty of ice... everything I thought I'd have to run to the store and get was already there. The furniture was nice, the home entertainment system was very nice with a sound bar etc... The owner was very accommodating in every way! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future! My 2 small pups loved the fenced in backyard, there was a fire pit we didn't get around to using this time, but definitely will next time. Very well maintained property, my compliments to the owner! Will recommend this place to friends and family also. Thank you for a great weekend getaway.

We had a great visit at Doane’s little place. It was super clean, very quiet and so close to everything one would need from groceries to Walmart to beaches and parks! We definitely will be back when life affords is another little break! Ps, Doane is very attentive and responsive should you have any questions/needs. Love love love this place!

Doane was a great host! All of the recommendations were great. The house was very cute and the back yard was so nice and peaceful.

The house was in a great location. The backyard with the wildlife was fantastic! My only recommendations would be that the house (back bathroom/laundry) could be a little cleaner -baseboards had layer of dust and AC unit in the bedroom we tried to clean ourselves. The mattress doesn't offer much support for your back. It's essentially foam on another layer of foam. I slept on the couch on the final evening and got more support for my back that way. Thank you for helping in making some good memories on a short vacation.

We had a great time, I had my 2 dogs with me, and they loved the fenced in yard. House was clean, and had all amenities to make the stay trouble free.

Quiet neighborhood, great backyard. Check-in was relatively easy and the host responded to our questions. The only issue was the lack of central air conditioning. It took awhile for the house to cool down once we checked in.

The house was as described, pet friendly with a very comfortable fenced backyard. We spent most mornings on the covered patio watching the wildlife come and go around the lake and some taking a rest in the large tree by the yard. We saw Ibis, Great Blue Herons, Little Blue Herons, Whistler Ducks, Night Heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Snowy Egrets, Great Egret and a Wood Stork. The house was in a very quiet neighborhood, communication with the owner was clear and easy making the stay stress free. We would 100% recomment this property.

The house is very comfortable and has a nice kitchen with everything you need for cooking your meals. There are so many birds in the backyard it’s like a sanctuary, and the view of the pond is so beautiful . I enjoyed my weekend stay and my dogs were happy to explore the yard, which has a good high fence. The owner is easy to teach, and answered all my questions. There are beaches and restaurants close by and it’s a convenient location. A+

The house is super clean, plenty of space, comfortable bedding and everything we thought we might want or need was available at the house. It is centrally located close to everything you need. It is about 3 miles from the amazing Stump Pass Beach and the Main beach. We recommend this property and we are already planning our next trip. The host was excellent and made check in and check out simple! We felt safe and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

Property was clean and spacious for our small group, exactly what we were looking for. Very close and easy access to main road to go to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Very quiet.

My wife and 3 young children stayed for 10 days at this wonderful home. Totally updated, very clean and has every kitchen and outdoor appliance you need. Property owner was excellent with communication/questions. Both neighbors are wonderful people too! 0 complaints and we absolutely will be staying here again.

This bright, cozy home backs up to a bit of water that invites all sorts of water birds, including the elusive wood stork. We spent hours in the private, quiet backyard enjoying feathered friends. - The kitchen and refrigerator were fully stocked with condiments. Overall, this beach themed cottage felt like home. Friendly communications from the owner also made the stay feel personal. - The neighborhood is remarkably quiet while being within walking distance to a major intersection with familiar chain stores, e.g. Publix Grocery store. The compact shopping area abounded with good restaurants, including several with outdoor seating on the water. - We would definitely return.

My husband and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came to enjoy the warm climate and enjoyed the outdoor settings at this home. Morning coffee on the front porch, afternoons when we weren’t at the beach we enjoyed sitting on the back patio or watching the birds on the lake from the swing. We also were thankful for the fire pit in the back yard where we sat during the cool evenings and visited with family members who were staying nearby. This place was perfect and the host was very accommodating. We definitely hope to return!

A clean and beautifully appointed property. Renting from Doane was hassle free. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

What can I say about this great little getaway?!? Doane has set-up his house to offer all of the comforts of being at home. From the moment you walk in, the house has a welcoming feel. The decor gives you a feel for the area - Life at the Beach! I love the fact that there is a guide book on the dining table to give the lay of the land, so to speak. Also that other renters leave their mark in the book with suggestions of places they visited while staying here. The location offers you access to various beaches and parks. I love the fact that you don't have to bring your beach chairs, umbrella or cooler because Doane has all these items for you to use in the storage bin in the backyard, along with a nice grill for BBQing. During this visit, my husband and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary. We spent one day at our favorite beach, Blind Pass, and watched the sunset before going to eat. Our favorite place to eat while staying here is at Mama's Italian Restaurant. The food is AMAZING!!! We were also able to enjoy a romantic evening in the backyard, under the stars with the fire pit. I would recommend this rental home to anyone looking for the perfect getaway... it truly is a the perfect home away from home!

We love this place! Stayed last winter for 4 months and have returned for this year. Quaint, comfortable home with all the amenities. Nice layout and size for a couple. Doane has made a number of improvements since last year... heck, we thought it was perfect before. Now it's even nicer! Well situated....close to beaches, walking trails, kayaking access points, fishing spots and numerous excellent restaurants. Doane is very accommodating and responds to enquires in a timely manner. We plan on staying again on future trips to Englewood

Excellent location in Englewood. Immaculately clean. Stocked with everything you need. Doane, the owner, kept in touch to be sure everything was ok. Definitely would stay here again. One of the best rentals I have had on VRBO.

Loved this vacation home! We were looking for a place to stay during our son's wedding in Englewood, and this was perfect! Just the right size, price, and amenities. The back yard was great for our 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog, and we loved sitting out there in the morning to have our coffee while he played. The inside was comfortable and well laid out - a very nice kitchen, two bathrooms, washer-dryer, and good air conditioning. The owner is very nice and easy to reach if you have any questions. We have lots of family in Englewood, and we will definately rent this place again!

I could go on and on about this property and location but here are the bullet points. 1. Convenient to everything. We had a day trip to Sanibel and Captiva, dinner in Sarasota and Venice, trips to Boca Grande and several other lesser know destinations very convenient to Englewood. 2. Very cozy and roomy house with all the amenities needed for a weekend or extended stay. 3. Very good local food in Englewood (Mango Bistro) and tons of destinations to explore within 10 minutes of the property. Whether you like fishing, shelling, searching for shark teeth or just enjoying the beach, everything is very close. My wife and I love food so below are a few places you may want to check out during your stay. Sofrito Mama's in Sarasota for fantastic Puerto Rican comfort food. Trattoria Da Mino in Venice. Very small but great food and pizza made to order. Placida Grill in Englewood. One of the few places that still know how to cook shrimp. Blu Island Bistro in Venice has the best breakfast around and an extensive menu. Mango Bistro. Best French mushroom soup I've ever eaten, great lobster bisque and delicious sandwiches. Look no further if you want a real Florida experience.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Englewood house. Very conveniently located, clean, and well maintained. Completely stocked with virtually anything you could need. The back yard is great, quite scenic, with nice sitting areas. Our security deposit was returned immediately following our stay. I would definitely stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this adorable little house. It is a comfortable, clean little home away from home. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay for the 2 of us but roomy enough to invite family over for dinner. The location is very convenient for shopping, restaurants & the beach. The owner of the property was very responsive whenever we had a question & also was prompt in returning our deposit after our stay. We look forward to returning to Englewood in the future and hope to stay here again. 😊
