This historic house is exactly as described. It is so convenient to walk anywhere in Oriental. It was also exceptionally clean and well stocked. The host was available for questions and the check-in and check-out process was easy.

Everything as advertised. Charming home right in the middle of Oriental.

….. but owners were awesome!
First I couldn’t understand the lock box, and of course, right after calling, I figured it out, sooooo, sorry for the numb brain call, second, we wanted to watch Game 7 Stanley Cup, couldn’t figure out the Roku stuff, we don’t have Roku, unfamiliar territory, but they walked us through it in a huge laughter event.
After that, our stay was still awesome, no hitches no glitches. Neighbors were nice, town was friendly, views on river spectacular.
Town was as special place for my girlfriend, grew up there family vacations since a child.
I’m glad I made the call.

It was amazing!! The house was perfect and so much local charm. I rode a bike which I haven’t done since I was child. The house felt like my grandparents summer home and was so welcoming. Thank you for sharing your families home. Highly recommended hopefully we will be returning again sometime

From the moment we pulled in the driveway we could tell that this was going to be a great place. The porch to sit on, screened in porch to relax on, peaceful location, great yard - it was incredible. It is close enough to everything to be convenient but in a quiet neighborhood. This is my new favorite place. We slept great, the pups slept great after playing in the backyard and we could walk to the marina. This was a little slice of heaven.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pugh House for a work/short vacation trip. The house was very clean and comfortable, and the owner reached out to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The house was ideally located--close to restaurants, shops, water front; and the people of Oriental were very friendly and welcoming!

We loved our second stay at Pugh house. This time we brought the grandparents too! Beds are comfy, owner is always helpful & kind, we love the porch and feel like we are cozy and at home. Grandparents loved downstairs bedroom near the bathroom & away from the kids!

My husband and I could not have asked for any better place to stay. The place felt like home immediately when we opened the door. Well stocked with more then you would need for our stay. Very clean and close to the perfect little beach and park on the water with chairs along the water way to watch the boats and read a good book. Walking distance to all restaurants and shops and docks. Bikes we provided to ride everywhere we wanted to go. Quiet neighborhood for walking our dog. Just didn't want to leave. The house is beautiful inside and out. The owners were available for any questions to be answered. Just felt like a forever home. Thank you for letting us enjoy one of the best times of our lives.

We loved our stay in this lovely older but updated home in historic Oriental. The house had so much charm and personality. We found everything we needed for our stay. The location is great... walking distance to the waterfront and most anything you would want to do in Oriental, including some good restaurants and a brewery.

Well maintained older home. With 4 teens and tweens the sparsity of electrical outlets for charging phones, watched and I-pads was a challenge. Loved the screened in porch with swing and the availability of bicycles. Kids rode to camp each day and to a nearby park. All good except Oriental municipal water!

Quaint, wonderful, family home. Loved being able to walk downtown oriental, to the farmers market, and to the marina. Spent many hours on the screen porch. Great host cares about the little details.

You can’t beat this location! Within walking distance of the Bean and Brewery. We stayed the weekend for our family reunion and it was perfect!

I’ve used this property a few times on my travels on the ICW. It’s a beautiful home a few blocks from all the marinas/restaurants and comes with lots of bikes to get around. Ashley was incredibly prompt in responding when we were checking in and needed assistance. Will definitely be using again!!

Loved this historic home in Edenton. Great location, everything we needed- including super comfortable beds after a day of bike riding. would highly recommend to anyone visiting Edenton.

The Pugh House was a great spot to spend a relaxing month in Oriental. It had a cottage feel about it, with lots of spots to watch TV or read a book. There was a huge fenced back yard that our dog loved exploring and racing around at top speed. A short walk to the small downtown and several restaurants, though we did a lot of cooking, too, and enjoyed the fresh local shrimp and sea scallops.

With this stay, you feel like you are a guest in someone’s home. The location is great. One bathroom is a little challenging if you have more than 2 people.

This was the perfect place to have a reunion. It was perfectly located, close to restaurants and the marina. The house is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with anything you might need. The screened in porch is perfect for conversation or yoga.

My husband and I loved our weekend stay in Oriental. The Pugh House had everything we needed and plenty of room for our German Shepherd pup as well. So much of Oriental is within walking distance!

Very comfortable property for our family to spend a relaxing week. The play room attic was a special find for our young daughter and the large fenced yard was perfect for our pups.

I stayed the week here while my son attended sailing camp, and we loved it. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, spacious rooms. Everything was clean & comfortable and the town is walkable so everything was convenient. Ashley was always kind & responsive! We even saw a play at the theater next door and that was fun too!

Cute historical house
This house was so cute, a historical house with lots of character. It's in a nice neighborhood great for taking walks - we took the dog for a walk down to the waterfront street.
Lots of towels and blankets provided.
Kitchen had coffee pot and toaster and stocked with tableware and cookware.
There's a Piggly Wiggly 2 minutes down the road and the Cherry Branch ferry was about a 15 drive.

Cute and Quaint
This house is perfect if you are trying to get away for the weekend and have some quiet time. It was a wonderful experience. Would definitely stay there again. We loved the screened in porch! The only problem we had was makeup on one of the pillows on the bed and the tvs were out. Other than that, a fantastic experience!

Easy and comfortable
We've been to Pugh house 3 times and love the property. We never even get in our car once we arrive- everything is walkable. The owners have added nice new touches so it is only getting more comfortable. They are great to work with and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We really enjoy taking sailing lessons and renting boats at Bow to Stern which is a short bike ride away- great company and wonderful people.
If you happen to be an electric vehicle owner you will be pleased to know that there are 2 free public chargers within walking distance of the house. One is less than a block away. Our dogs also enjoy the HUGE back yard.

Location is awesome for waking , riding bikes, and to the restaurants.
Check in was a breeze, was exactly as stated in the ad. Enjoyed the bikes that were available. Like having one downstairs bedroom and the rest upstairs.

Great stay in great town. Arrived by boat on our way south down the ICW. Porch was amazing and having the bikes to use was great.
