We enjoyed our stay. The large windows in the living room and master bedroom provide a wonderful view of the lake.

I absolutely loved my little weekend away. I slept better than I have in years. The house was very clean, extremely relaxing and beautiful. I hope to return again!

We love the quiet location of the house and the walkabilty to town.The kitchen is well stocked,the towels are nice and the owner is great at communication. We did notice dog hairs on the couch and pillows giving it an unclean feel. There was also poop in the backyard. The linens weren’t the greatest but the beds were pretty comfy. I stayed in the second room with yellow striped comforter and it seemed to have a dog odor. I realize it’s hard to have rules that are broken by selfish people- ruins it for those of us who bring our dog who's not allowed on the furniture. There may be a critter in ceiling of bathroom with the tub. Noises were heard at night. The tv was nice as well as the fireplace. We’ve stayed here before but since then it seems to need some refreshing. Also, the brown chair is pretty useless….do not know who would want to sit in it. I hope this is helpful. Overall, nice place.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy and comfortable home. Additionally Lake Michigan is right across the street from this home that is in the historic Boulder neighborhood. There are many charming rock homes by Earl Young all around this area. This home is close to town and had many comforts that we really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for a weekend in February and were blown away by the incredible view of Lake Michigan through snow ladened trees. We loved sitting in the cozy and comfortable livingroom watching the fire in the fireplace and the powerful waves crashing on the shore. We went up for the Friday night candlelit hike at Mt. McSauba which was absolutely magical. Went back Saturday and enjoyed some sledding with the kiddos.

We always go north for a winter getaway. The cottage was perfect looking out on Lake Michigan while sitting in front of the fire. The cottage is very nicely maintained with all amenities. ❤️❤️❤️

We appreciated everything was exactly as shown in the images, and everything in the house that we possibly could have a question about had a neat label to explain how to use. We had a quick weekend stay in October and it was beautiful.

This is our third year in a row of staying in this beautiful home looking at Lake Michigan. Comfortable welcoming cozy house located very close to downtown with awesome views and it’s so nice (weather permitting) to walk the beach and enjoy the nearby park. Just LOVE being there. Already planning next years trip!

Cottage is in an excellent location. It is in a quiet neighborhood and faces Lake Michigan. It is surrounded by historic mushroom houses. Yet it is only a few minutes from downtown Charlevoix. It had all the amenities that we required. Would stay here again.

Our group was 3 guys on a golf weekend. The house was perfect for our needs. Although the weather was bad, you can see that it would be a great place for a family in the summer.

Our stay at the Blue Cottage was truly perfect. The cottage is even more delightful and lovely in person…..incredible views, comfy furnishings and everything you need for a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We especially enjoyed the cozy living room area and the gorgeous stone fireplace. The location was ideal…..great to be on the lake, but also very convenient walking and driving distance to downtown Charlevoix, restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Perfect mix of quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view of the water, yet also close enough to town to walk there in 10 minutes. Very clean and comfortable.

Blue water Cottage is a beauty! The deck has plenty of seating for the unobstructed view of Lake Michigan. Fall asleep on comfortable beds with quality linens… and if you’re lucky enough to have one of the two front bedrooms, you’ll fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake to a stunning view. We watched an eagle enjoy breakfast on the shore one morning.
It’s a peaceful location, yet near everything Charlevoix has to offer. Bill was quick to answer our questions and offered clear directions for access and use of the home.
We hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful time during our second stay in this property. We enjoyed it in February and wanted to come back and see it in the summer. We had a great time! The cabin is clean and well-stocked and the host is very responsive. The beach and water are very rocky so I'd suggest you bring water shoes. My kids loved the beach and were in the water for hours on end. The beach firepit was great too!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage. The property and cottage were beautiful and comfortably fit our family of six. Our boys spent hours on the rocky beach skipping rocks and searching for petosky stones. It was quiet and peaceful in this historic area yet close to town for shopping and restaurants.

Our family stayed here when our daughter got married at Castle Farms. It was a perfect retreat from the chaos of a family wedding and allowed us to relax and watch the perfect view. We can't wait to come back here for a true vacation!

This was our first trip with our 3 year old. We brought a pack and play for him to sleep in. Overall, great clean house in a beautiful location. You can clearly see the lake over the road which is not busy at all. For such a small place there is a ton of living space. One drawback was poison Ivy under the hammock, but otherwise was great. The house coming stocked with logs for the fireplace made for nice romantic evenings. I would 100% stay there again.

We stayed in the home during the winter and watched snow storms roll in over Lake Michigan. The fireplace was great, view of the lake was perfect. The owner was easy to deal with, checking and checkout was a breeze.
Only issue we can find is that there isn't a lot of food in the area, or at least not in the winter. But with a fully stocked kitchen, we cooked each meal as a family instead.
We highly recommend staying in this home.

We stayed here for Spring Break. 2 adults amd 2 kids age 13 & 9. The house was perfect for us. Plenty of space and the 2 bathrooms were a plus! The house had all the essentials and some extras. We enjoyed having a fire and winding down after exploring all day. Storms rolled through while we were there and we loved watching it over the lake right out the front window. Our only complaints are the hot water runs out fast and the front burners on the stove are touchy. We have already recommended the house to family and friends.

We have been here several times at the same time of the year to getaway for my Bday..so it is winter!!
This time it WAS winter very cold & gusty winds..the lake had no ice so we did enjoy the wild wave action but that made for a cold time! The place was as usual clean but there was a problem with the heat in the bathrooms.. there seemed to be none so I would have that looked into! The only other problem the left front burner on the stove is not working.. it won’t hook in where it should and it is electric so it doesn’t work..I just used another burner but should be fixed!! Despite the weather we enjoyed the getaway..we are basketball fans & NCAA’s were on and MSU won..life was good!!😀

Quick getaway to the area . From the first communication to the last our host was fantastic. The home is just as described and more. This is the first rental I have not spent the first few moments cleaning to feel comfortable. The furnishings are simple but artsy and welcoming, very well thought out. The attention to detail to make a guest feel comfortable was outstanding from duraflame logs to dish soap and toilet paper. We were astonished as how spacious the home is! The view speaks for itself , the property and host all made our trip the perfect recipe for R&R we needed. Already looking for when we can book to come back !

My wife and I needed a long weekend away, and this place fit the bill perfectly. Great view of Lake Michigan out the large windows throughout. Nice and cozy inside. Would recommend and stay again regardless of the season!

The property was cozy and has a beautiful view of Lake Michigan from the great room. And two of the bedrooms. Just gorgeous. It’s a 30 second walk to the water. We even had 4 deer visit us.
The house was stocked with spices which helped with meal fixings.
The main bathroom needed a good cleaning around the sink and new caulk. But other than it was clean and comfy.
Bill even left a box of logs for the indoor fireplace.

My husband and I and our labradoodle stayed a couple of days for our anniversary. Very clean, beautiful view, quiet, close to a grocery store and plenty of kitchenware to cook meals. The king size bed was comfy ( we didn’t sleep in the other beds). Water pressure was great. We will definitely stay again!
