Clean and comfortable place to stay for enjoy our fishing and hiking vacation. Nearby Provincial Park trail is wonderful.

Beautiful place!! Breathtaking view! Cottage was very clean, Beds were extremely comfortable, Hot tub a must! Gazebo on the deck was a great place to chill as well. The sun room was our go to room just to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Had everything you would need for a enjoyable stay. Stephanie and John payed attention to every detail to make our stay very enjoyable. Would stay again. :)

Very well located near Bala. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Very private setting. Well stocked with everything you would need. Great view across Bala Bay with very little boat traffic near the cottage. Wonderful sitting area beside the water with a cover for shade or full sun if you like. Covered boat slip. Hot tub very clean and accessible. Owners are very responsive. 5 star rating. Would definitely go back.

My family had an amazing 10 days at this beautiful cottage! The inside is so clean and well maintained and the view from the living room is spectacular! the deck area is so spacious with easy access to the water. we loved that it has a hot tub for rainy/cooler days. absolutely perfect! would definitely stay again! also the hosts are very kind!

Great week away with the family. Cottage is all one level inside. Great for our little guy to walk around. View is absolutely unreal.

I was on the hunt for a beautiful cottage to rent with my fiancée after our proposal within the city. I had selected Stephanie and John's cottage as the perfect spot to celebrate! Here are a few points that made it the perfect cottage: 1) It was in Muskoka Cottage Country - getting from the city to the cottage wasn't a rather long drive but an enjoyable getaway2) It had a hot tub! Reminiscing about our trip in Iceland made us realize we needed a hot tub during the cooler months. 3) Lake views - What really made this cottage stand out is that it's by the lake, it has the sun room that you can enjoy any special moment (the cottage had the Christmas tree too) 4) A firepit - We made s'mores, yummm. 5) The kitchen was fully stocked - If you're a foodie and love to cook instead of getting outside food, this is the perfect cottage as kitchen was fully prepped for a professional chefI would love to come back and visit this cottage again during the summer time or even the winter. The owner is lovely. The facilities were well appointed. Convenient to Bala, and Hardy Provincial Park for hiking.

This was our families first trip anywhere together and we all had an amazing time. Only suggestions would be more lighting on the deck for night time, the hot tub did cool down quickly, it was hard to keep at a high temperature. Other than that the communication was fantastic and the cottage was gorgeous! Whenever we had a question we got an immediate response. Thank you so much!

We had a great time at the cottage. It is beautifully decorated. Muskoka room is great for lounging and playing games. I imagine it would be wonderful in all seasons. Bala is so close which is great for teens - by boat or walking - visits to Jack & Stella and Bala Falls Pub were highlights. Kids loved jumping off the dock. Stephanie was super responsive and helpful when we had any questions. We had a great time overall!

We had an absolutely terrific time over a week in July. The cottage was exactly as advertised, perfectly clean, and well appointed. Lake access was easy, the hot tub clean and functional, the air conditioning worked really well, and the internet was a great speed. Couldn't have asked for more -- a great trip and we had a great time!

We had an amazing family vacation at Woodhaven. The cottage is beautifully appointed and spotless. Location on Bala Bay is great for swimming, boating and easy access to town. John and Stephanie are great hosts and very responsive.

Stephanie and John have done an amazing job with their cottage. We had a quick 3-day winter stay and throughly enjoyed our selves. The cottage was pristine when we arrived and we were greeted by Stephanie's father who showed us around. Stephanie was also very responsive to all my texts! The sun room is the best part of the house, amazing views and comfortable seating. We went for long hikes in the area (Torrance Barrens Conservation was our favourite) and came home to cook great dinners, kitchen is well equipped. The gas fireplace is a bonus while eating dinner. We even managed to enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck bundled in blankets (as per Stephanie's suggestion). We would highly recommend this location for a winter getaway and our only regret is we couldn't go in the lake, next time in the summer! Thanks again Stephanie

From driving up to the house and seeing the view over the lake as the sun was going down to entering the house and seeing the 5* surroundings this was an amazing place to explore Lake Muskoka. Stephanie left great instructions and was very responsive during the booking and checking in process and was really helpful with suggestions on places to eat and visit. The hot tub was a bonus and jumping off the end of the dock to have a swim in the lake was a highlight.

AMAZING COTTAGE! My kids and their friends absolutely LOVED the week up at Woodhaven. The fishing was great, the hot tub was spectacular after our evening campfires in the firepit. The cottage was a dream. We rented jet skis down the street at Ride Muskoka and they were so helpful and pleasant to deal with. We will definitely be back next year!!!! Thanks so much Stephanie.

Woodhaven cottage met all of our expectations, and then some! Everything that advertised was available and ready to go when we got here and the hospitality of the hosts made sure there was nothing left to be desired. Their organization was top notch and really set us up to have a good time from the very start, without getting bogged down in having to get oriented. The place was clean, tidy, fully equipped, and enjoyed all the beautiful views and touches that were promised. Put simply, Stephanie’s place was truly a joy to stay at and we can’t wait to be back here again!

This is such a picturesque place, both indoors and outdoors! The cottage is rustic and elegant, tastefully curated – perfect for a restorative getaway! The view made all the outdoor activities (fishing, kayaking, bonfire, stargazing) that much more enjoyable, while staying in on a rainy day was just as therapeutic! Everything we needed was there: cooking supplies, bath products, TV & Games, towels for hot tub, wood for the fire, flatware/glassware for outdoors, etc. We felt really taken care of! The welcome basket was a nice touch!
