Central location.Visually attractive room. Female staff member tried her best, as she was covering bar ,check in and breakfast service next morning

No hot water in shower or bathroom on evening of the arrival. No teaspoons in room or at breakfast table. Cooked breakfast was average. Hotel is very dated and tired and needs investment. In the competitive market, the room was overpriced

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The drinks token was a lovely gesture and personalised note was brilliant and very appreciated

The breakfast ran out of eggs and it was running slightly later than scheduled which caused a bit of a delay but otherwise lovely

Great location, parking at the rear (free) and lovely building. Staff are welcoming and friendly, locals drink in the bar and are also as friendly. I stayed in a four poster room and was extremely comfortable, had a lovely sleep and the shower.. perfect! I travel up to Forres about 3-4tikes a year and I stay here every time.

The staff was fantastic. The hotel was really in the center of Forres and near to everything. THe breakfast was ok.

The staff were so friendly, the bar had a good atmosphere and drinks are very reasonably priced, a free drink per person for each day is such a nice touch, breakfast is included and there is excellent choices, there was a Sunday roast which was so nice and great value for money, chocolates with the towels for the second night, overall amazing value for money and genuinely couldn't fault anything. The hotel exceeded my expectations and will definitely stay again.

It didn't bother me but the shower water wasnt going hot for a while the first day but it was quickly sorted.

Friendly and helpful staff, great value, vegan breakfast, town centre location and comfy beds.

It is an old hotel and every so slightly shabby in parts but that did not spoil our stay in any way.

Everything , wife had to go buy her own kettle because the one in the room was full of lime scale and dirty. Bathroom pull switch cord for the light has never been cleaned or changed, it’s filthy brown colour. The whole place made you feel 🤢

Lovely, clean comfortable room. Also very quiet at the top of the building. Warm and friendly staff helped me carry up my luggage

bed are uncomfortable. shower no hot water and it trickled out. breakfast was terrible. very noisy earplugs supplied!! won’t be back!

Staff very helpful and attentive in spite of several away on leave or expecting a happy event.

Nothing seems to work properly: one guest had to be moved as neither he or the staff could open his room, shared lavatory did not flush well enough, with obvious consequences, I had to bleed the heated towel rail in the shared bathroom to get any heat.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.i had a quiet twin room with lovely views. The bed was comfy as was the wing-back arm chair in my room. The continental breakfast was more than adequate.

no cold water in the bathroom meant no toliet and no usable shower. young staff members didn’t know what to do and said someone would fix it and no one from management came. sign for contact said management should only be contacted in the case of a fire and nothing else. felt unsafe for that matter.

no lift to the upper rooms, it was a struggle for me to take my luggage to my room in the top floor and bringing it back down again

The hotel was in a perfect location for the purpose of our visit. The room was warm, clean and had very nice biscuits to eat with our cup of tea/coffee. This hotel is old and the rooms a little dated, however, it this was reflected in the price we paid so not an issue. The breakfast was continental and adequate, but we were offered a cooked breakfast at extra cost is we wanted it.

Sink was in the actual bedroom next to the bed, separated from the shower room /toilet. The toilet had a macerator which was rather noisy, this was obviously due to the room being added to the bedroom and little plumbing available to put in a full drainage system. Not really a problem for us but might be for others, so worth mentioning.

Wasn't a cooked breakfast but was excellent continental breakfast lots of choice to eat. We really enjoyed it.

Could hear people outside the bar. Room was above there so was noisy. Also pigeons woke us up in morning. They did provide earplugs but we just put the TV up louder. They could do with upgrading the double glazing..But the bed was comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful.
