We thoroughly enjoyed the property and the outdoor space. Great for a gathering of family around graduation. The house is full of character and in a great location. The goats were an added bonus, making us smile everytime we pulled up to the property.

We rented the house for a college reunion weekend. Loved that the house had so many beds/bedrooms, great & easy entertainment spaces for long days at the house catching up, and a well-stocked kitchen.

Everything was as described. Great communication made this an excellent stay. There are so many lovely spaces and the kitchen is very well appointed for cooking. Super close to New Hope but you still feel like you're in your own oasis. The goats were great, ate some hay, and made barely a peep in the morning.

You are greeted by goats when you arrive. The house has many sitting areas, a pool table, hot tub, large fridge and great artwork. New Hope is an 8 min drive and super cute. Great stay

This well loved and lived in home made me and my family feel right at home. Comfortable, comforting and full of whimsical and charming details, this house feels like a retreat to a favorite home-away-from-home. The Christmas decorations that were put up for the season were perfect for making us all feel festive and welcomed.

Favorite hot tub experience. Awesome fireplace. Big refrigerator. Quiet! And there’s a giraffe in the backyard, trippin’ (lol!). The place could use a little TLC… easy & cheap to do: clear out guest closets, scale-down or redistribute the flatware to put less strain on the drawers, replace a burnt outlet in the hall bathroom, also hall bathroom where the hairdryer is stored, clean up the paint. Most expensive, flashing between roof & chimney as rain water was finding its way into the home sliding down to the hearth. Mid-expense, square ceiling patch in the living room.

We had a family gathering and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was loaded with interesting rooms and lots of things for the kids. The kids really enjoyed the goats. David was easy to communicate with and the check in process was super easy. We would definitely love to return!!!

We were a group of 9 that stayed at the Mountain House for 1 night. We had a blast and were impressed by all of the space, how private the location felt, and how well-stocked the home was. Many people commented on how they would like to come back for a weekend or week to enjoy more that the property has to offer. Would certainly recommend to others!

Property was terrific. Storm damage took out electricity but generator kicked in right away. Owner had electric company out within an hour and they restored power. Weather did not permit use of pool. Toys kept my granddaughter occupied. Goats were a hoot!

Comfortable and lovingly use. Very clean and accommodating. Loved the pool and hot tub! Feeding the goats was extra fun for my older grand children. We would definitely come back again.

There was a good amount of space for our large extended family. The house is quite well built so that kids could be in the game room and weren’t bothering adults in the living room with noise. There were lots of activities for the kids and tons of games for them to play with, the house is a little on the old side, but was very clean and comfortable. The owner was super responsive to all communication and even came to the house shortly after I had texted him about the AC in part of the house not working (it turned out it was just a couple of vents that were closed.). I would highly recommend this house.

We all had a wonderful time. The house was great, very welcoming and very comfortable. Many things to do and places to eat nearby. On the top of the mountain the surroundings were perfect, serene and calming. The pool and hot tub were crystal clear and provided a perfect ending to long days. Dave was a great host; he addressed any issues we had immediately. Definitely a great choice for a large group or family. We would book again. Thank you!

I don't even know where to begin with the Mountain House because my words will never do it justice. I booked the home with my parents, wife, and our twin boys (13). We were visiting my brother and his family for his birthday and this was - simply put - a great place to hang out every day. The game room was stocked up and had a great pool table. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and surrounded by beautiful landscaping, and the house itself was absolutely FULL of character with gorgeous old hardwood floors and eclectic charm everywhere you looked. I couldn't tell you my favorite part of the property. Everything thing was my favorite part. The goats were hilarious - we tried bringing them carrots but they were more excited about the fresh leaves we pulled from the nearby trees! David was also a TOP NOTCH host and was always available. He also has the easiest checkout procedures I've had at a VRBO I can remember. The Mountain House is different, unique, and delightful. I will do all in my power to make a return trip. Oh, and don't forget to look for the giraffe in the backyard. 5 Stars across the board only because I can't give 6.

We stayed at the Mountain House as three families attending a nearby college reunion. It was a perfect oasis/getaway from campus. Everyone loved the pool, hot tub, and goats. It was a perfect vacation!

We had a group of friends stay here for a curling tournament at Bucks County Curling Club. David was a great host and the property is amazing. Secluded area with great amenities and goats!

We were celebrating a significant birthday with our children, spouses, and grandsons. The Mountain House fit the bill. The property sits atop a steep hill in a clearing surrounded by woods. While the exterior of the house is in need of work, the interior is well-maintained, spacious, full of art, books, games, and toys. The boys (1-7 y.o.) were well-entertained inside and outside. The kitchen is well-stocked and great for cooking large meals. It is an easy ride by car or bike into New Hope and Lambertville. While it is also a walkable distance, it is a bit treacherous on narrow roads with no shoulders. Price is just about right given the high value of the area.

Best VRBO experience I've had to date. A really easy to like host & a fun, functional home. We'll be coming back!

We loved the house and the hot tub! The technology was better than my own home (smart TVs, WiFi, etc). And the goats! Highly recommend. Would be great for a large group especially in summer. Fun for all ages! David was responsive and very helpful in planning! Thank you David!

The home feels like a home -- not like a sleek hotel lobby. We enjoyed the variety of rooms, different levels and things available for the kids. The kitchen/living space is great for hanging out preparing and enjoying family meals. The hot tub also got a lot of use -- especially nice on cold winter days! Naturally the goats were a big hit with the kids.

Place is as advertised, host was helpful. We would stay again.

I rarely give top ratings but this stay was everything we hoped for. We had to change our stay dates and had to face unforeseen issues with the weather. For both issues David was super accommodating. The whole family loved the long weekend, we couldn't be happier.

I recently stayed at the mountain house with my family of 15 people ranging from adults to children and infants for a new Hope Polar Express weekend. I could not tell you how perfect the house is! Its charm and uniqueness is tremendous. Everything about the house has a quality of genuineness to its character. There is plenty of room for everyone, and the amenities, from the fireplace, to the game room, the children’s toys to the goats, every time we thought we saw it all there was something more charming. The house and property are very well maintained, the house has character for its age and you can see all of the updates that are done to maintain it as a wonderful property. Also communication with David the owner was excellent…he was quickly responsive to anything we needed. I highly recommend this property to anyone with a large group, especially with children who wants to be close to all New Hope has to offer. We can’t wait for our return!

Spent an extended weekend with friends and family for the thanksgiving holiday; everyone loved the home. From the amenities, the charm, atmosphere/location, all was perfect. 10/10 will book again if available!

This trip was a semi annual get away for 8 girls who visit each other from Alaska, Minnesota and all over the east coast. We pick truly unique getaways for relaxation and shopping. The Mountain House is a true gem. It is older and showing some wear, but the decor, painting, layout and outside area is amazing. It appears to be an artists lair with beautiful pieces in every room. The layout is spacious for large gatherings with an open floor plan and additional gathering spaces. The upstairs pink room and living space seems to have been remodled and is just lovely. The outside area is very nice with a pool, hot tub, plenty of land and goats in the front yard. Although the pool was covered for the winter, we did enjoy the hot tub which was user friendly and very clean. The kitchen is more than well stocked for cooking with a ton of spices available. There are plenty of paper products available. We had plenty of towels for showering, hot tubbing and for the kitchen area. The beds are comfortable and everyone said they slept well. The town of New Hope and Peddlers Village is a very short drive and was a unique shopping experience for everyone. There are plenty of restraunts, bars and things to do. We walked daily down the drive and into the surrounding neighborhood. The entire area is quite nice. The photos of the house really do not do justice to this unique home. John was very receptive to several little questions we had and responded quickly via the app. We had zero problems. The goats are most friendly and love veggie scraps. I would definitey rec the Mountain/ Goat house to large groups or small. I would also return with a different group of ladies to share this unique experience.
