La Roca Studios is every bit as good as it sounds! Excellent area, quiet neighborhood, and easy to get to (once you know your way around). The bathroom being together with the bedroom was a little adjustment, but you can shut the bedroom door if you must. We were comfortable, had everything we needed for the beach, tent, coolers, chairs. The owners were there while we were, what a delight! We loved it!

This is/was hands down nothing short of magical: the views, the accommodations, the neighborhood, … I can go on and on. The highlight was making friends with the owners, Bianca and Chris. They couldn’t be more lovely.

Let me start by saying that the view from this property was second to none. It's terrific from the front patio...but from the rooftop deck it's breathtaking! And you're close enough to the beach to hear the waves breaking. Spectacular! Another positive for us was Miles and Betty. They were so great to work with. They were very responsive and provided us with great information. The studio was fine. We were a little surprised to find that there is a bed in the bathroom...or a bathroom in the bedroom. Not sure which it is but there definitely is not a door separating the bedroom from the bathroom. So leave your modestly at home...or send your partner outside to admire the view while you're doing your business. The swimming pool is interesting. It's 6 feet deep everywhere. If you're as vertically challenged as I am - 5'10" - you best be decent at treading water. The other thing about the pool is that it was in the shade pretty much all day during our visit. We were there in late January/early February. Not sure if it gets more sun during other times of the year....but the view!!! The washer and dryer were a nice touch. Everything you needed to do a load of laundry was provided. And we needed to do laundry because we were only provided with 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels for our 11 day stay....but the view!!! We were given only 2 garbage bags and 2 rolls of toilet paper for our 11 day stay. We ended up buying more toilet paper and gifting a couple of rolls to the neighbors when we left...but the view!! Overall it was a great experience. The island is everything we could've hoped for. The people were great, the food was great, the horses were great...and the view was terrific!!

The property is exactly what you need to get back to basics of what life is about: some place to cook food, a comfy bed, and lots of space to get fresh air and feel a part of nature while not going anywhere. Beautiful views of the ocean facing north setting you up for beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets. The plants on the property get you into island vibes such as bougainvillea. Very clean property with helpful amenities like washer and dryer but also some bug spray. The kitchen is outfitted with any vessel you think you might need. They even provide beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, and ice boxes for a day at the beach. And you have access to a pool shared with one other apartment (so private if you get lucky with no neighbors during your stay). The managers - Betty and Myles- are extremely responsive, kind, and friendly. The owner too! A great place to relax and not worry about any planning - just go with the island flow!

This is our third trip to Vieques, first time in Isabel- the location of this house cannot be understated. High on the hill, catching the trade winds and a tremendous view of the Sea. Simple, clean and comfortable. We will be back, thank you!

We spent three weeks at La Roca, one week of which was under the Covid quarantine. We were totally comfortable and never bored. The property is very well equipped. Cooking was no problem as there is a stove, toaster oven, microwave and large fridge. The basement laundry came in handy. La Roca is all about the view! Gorgeous ocean views in all directions! At night the sound of the waves is soothing. The walk to town is a pleasant one mostly along the water. We are 71 and 68 and did it easily. To get to the beaches for which Vieques is famous you need transportation. The beach close to the house is lovely to sit on but rocks, coral and rough surf prevent swimming. The property manager, Betty, was very helpful and responsive. La Roca would be especially perfect for two couples traveling together and sharing a vehicle. I highly recommend La Roca!

Loved our stay, Miles and Betty are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the island. The residence was just right for a couple - and renting both units at the same time would be perfect for a group! There was nothing more we could have asked for!

Amazing! Beautiful views, peace and quite, so nice you barely want to leave to explore the rest of the island. Miles and Betty went above and beyond for everything we needed and kept in touch to see how we were doing. We plan on being friends and family in the future.

Our overal experience with La Roca and the owners has been excellent. The Host is very friendly, accommodating & helpful with local information. The apartment/property was great. From the pool, to the roof top patio. Laundry & the kitchen has all the basic you’ll need for a week (or few weeks if you’re lucky). The landscaping was beautiful & well maintained. We highly recommend staying at La Roca on your next visit to Vieques!

The beauty of this place inside and out is stunning. The view from the lower and upper decks are amazing! The interior decor is simple but elegant. Everything you need is at your finger tips...laundry facilities, beach towels, a cooler, beach chairs, etc. Take a dip in the pool to cool off after a day at the beach. Relax on the upper deck. Place was very clean and excellent location for us. Harvey and Marie were so nice and very accommodating. We will definitely be recommending this place to others. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We hope to come back again.

House was very nice, clean, well maintained, and equipped. The view was over looking the mainland, Culebra and St. Thomas. Absolutely breath taking. Convenient location to Isabella We had a small problem and the owners were there in ten minutes and solve the problem immediately.

Clean house in quiet location. Beautiful rooftop view of the ocean. Kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler very useful. Jeep likely necessary after Maria. Very helpful owners. Bathroom not as private as we are accustomed but we got by. It has a pool that would be nice for cooling off in the afternoon but we never used it as we stayed at the beach until sundown. A beach for every day of your stay and then some. We would rent this house again.

The house was clean, cozy and perfectly situated just up from La Chata beach. The rooftop terrace was our favorite spot for morning coffee. Harvey and Marie were always helpful and answered any questions we had. Not enough can be said about the island and its people-- La Roca was the perfect base fo exploring Vieques.

We had a wonderful stay with Marie and Harvey. They were always responsive and were happy to help where they could. We waited too long to book a rental car and could not book one until a few days into our trip, they went the extra mile to find us a car for a few days until ours was available. We would definitely stay with them again.

We had a wonderful stay at La Roca. We have stayed in many other properties on Vieques and this by far, has the best location. Harvey and Marie welcomed us when we arrived at the car rental agency and lead us to their beautiful property. On our second day, we encountered a water leak and Harvey and Marie arrived within ten minutes to help with the clean up and repair. We can't wait to go back and stay at La Roca.

My wife and i booked La Roca and from the very beginning Harvey and Marie were so helpful with our questions and needs. The home itself was beyond our expectations-absolutely beautiful. Very neat and clean. Having a pool to come back to after a day at the beautiful nearby beaches was a bonus. We would leave the beaches and hurry home to the pool-have a drink and the view!! You look out over the ocean and you see Puerto Rico-Culebra and St. Thomas. And at night the islands were beautiful with the lights in the distance. I was very impressed with Vieques and the town nearby-Islabel- really neat town with great places to eat!! And the neighborhood was very beautiful and quiet.So if you are planning a visit ti Vieques we feel La Roca is the place to stay. We have already booked for next year!!! Thank you Harvey and Marie. This was our first visit to Vieques and definitely will not be the last. The view from this rental is gorgeous, pool was refreshing and fun, apartment was very clean and the perfect size for the 3 of us. I can't say enough about Harvey and Marie who, not only greeted us at the ferry and drove us to the other side of the island to pick up our Jeep rental, but they provided much information and resources to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Also having laundry facilities was an added bonus! We could not have asked for a more relaxing and pleasurable experience. Until next time Vieques....

My husband and I just spent two weeks at La Roca. What a wonderful rental.(very quiet, no roosters). The views were amazing and the unit very comfortable and immaculate. Harvey and Marie were very accommodating and provided all what was needed for our daily beach excursions: cooler, umbrella, beach chairs and towels. The pool was so refreshing after a day at the beach. Also, having a washer and dryer available was a plus. This was our third trip to Vieques. We love the casual atmosphere of the island, the many, quiet, gorgeous beaches, and the reasonable costs.

My husband and I just returned from a week long stay at La Roca and could not have been happier to have stayed there! This apartment is situated on a hill with the most breathtaking views and breezes, and was absolutely perfect for us. It was a minutes drive away from town, and there were tons of options for places to eat and things to do. It was extremely clean, had everything we could've needed, and the pool and rooftop deck were huge bonuses. Harvey and Marie were so helpful from when we booked through our entire stay - they even picked us up/dropped us off at the airport, and were so helpful whenever we had any questions. We were sad to leave, and cannot wait to get back to the beautiful island of Vieques, and hopefully stay at La Roca again! We would definitely recommend renting a car, as there are a multitude of beautiful beaches that are a short drive away(our favorites were La Chiva and Pata Prieta). We'd also highly recommend booking any activities through Blackbeard Sports which is right downtown Isabel II - we dove with them half the week, booked the bio-bay tour through them, and could've booked a number of other activities. All told, we had an amazing stay and wish we could've stayed longer. Harvey and Marie - thank you so much for your hospitality and providing such a wonderful little paradise for us for our vacation! We look forward to coming back in the future.
