Great place, great bteakfast

My room did not have night curtains.

Albert Schwiezer's former living place gives a special atmosphere, excellent location to explore the Musnter valley. Breakfast is okay, but don't expect large variety.

once we got in, we had the whole place to ourselves. was clean, beautiful historic building, breakfast was fine

if you’re travelling here from outside the EU and rely on wifi for email/calls, just book elsewhere. we looked for an hour to find somewhere with wifi we could use to message and call the owner so they could come and let us in. not worth the stress after a long day and was ready to just find somewhere else. also felt like we were a complete inconvenience by staying there and taking up time. felt rushed and just there to hand over my money for the host- if you aren’t at the location that’s fine but a note on the door or a message by email with at least the wifi password so people can call you when they arrive on site.

Easy access to hallway by keypad. Room was luckily cool on a hot evening because of its orientation. Given a ground floor room as requested which was excellent for our dog as was the small secure garden grass for exercise. Small but private parking area.

Had to phone to say we had arrived and wait for staff having given our arrival time-slot. Welcome was unwelcoming and appeared grudging. Some information on local dining which was not correct. No TV . Spartan breakfast overseen by a single staff member whose only object appeared to be to ensure we paid before we left. Breakfast in cellar refectory with age but no attempt at ambience. A bit run down with broken garden furniture. Unable to take our dog into breakfast in spite of a very very large empty area.

The hostess was very kind, the building is historic and beautiful.

This was a wonderful stay. The guest house had no stuff to welcome us, but none were needed. Everything was arranged and as they promised a restaurant (amazing food) was next door. This is a lovely town, the family suite was perfect and we'd love to stay again.
