We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Vinaria Litoa. The villa is beautifully appointed, well equipped (perhaps just a couple more tea/coffee mugs please!), immaculately presented and spotlessly clean. Young children and older people would need to take care on the staircases but otherwise the villa is safe for young families. There is a good sized pool and wonderful sea views. There is a fair bit of aircraft noise but the villa is very close to the airport and is advertised as such. It did not bother us overly. The villa is a good base for exploring the southern part of this beautiful island (our sixth visit) and there are plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity. Our favourite was Esperides in Svoronata. The owners live next door and were extremely kind and helpful to us when we had a problem with our hire car - thank you again. William the Property Manager is very well organised and helpful. We would definitely recommend this villa and will remember with fondness the beautiful sunsets over the Ionian Sea. We would be happy to stay here again. Richard and Rosemary

Great property, fantastic view perfect getaway!

We stayed at the villa for 10 days - 5 adults in total. There was a wonderful amount of space both inside and outside the villa and it was maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The outside area was tremendous with a beautiful pool and lots of spacious sitting areas, along with the wonderful views across the sea. The owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful, without being obtrusive. In particular, William the property manager was extremely helpful, recommending boat trips, sorting a couple of minor issues at the villa and it was easy to contact him when we needed to. Overall it was a fabulous 10 days.. Though I agree with the recent review which said the airport noise and frequency of flights was more than the 2 or 3 flights a day mentioned in other earlier reviews. It's more like 10 - 12,

Really nice pretty villa very close to airport, can watch flights take off and land. Can be noisy but really did not bother us a kids loved it. A few more flights per day than what other reviews mentioned though. We thought the location was perfect for our family right next to the sea. Only 5 minutes from airport, excellent beaches in both directions and nice little restaurants that did good food although that are all very similar. Beach bars/cafes are excellent. Sea safe for kids. After staying in around 20 villas I have to say that this one had the nicest gardens/grounds and multiple seating areas that I have ever experienced.... really very pretty and a delight to laze around in all day. The pool was perfect, super clean and very well maintained. The villa itself had eveything we needed as a family of 6. Great balconies with excellent views. My only minor critisism is that both bathrooms are not great: The upstairs shower is poor quality over the bath and for anyone not great on their feet hard to get in and out of. (although the view from the shower is a bonus). Downstairs bathroom is very dark and dingy. My only other comment would be that toddlers need to be watched when near the outside seating area by the kitchen, its a floor up and with low back on the seating area a bit risky for little ones. We used this villa as a base to explore the north and south of the island. Manager was on hand if needed and very helpful. Owners live next door but respect your space and are there if needed. I would highly recommend this place and location and would be very happy to return one day. Manager was on hand if needed and very helpful.

We had a fabulous stay at the villa. It was immaculate and the outdoor space and grounds were incredible. The views were uninterrupted and as described the villa is within easy walking distance of some tavernas and lovely beaches. We particularly liked Elgina beach, O Milos taverna and Avithos Preview Taverna at Avithos Beach. The close proximity to the airport was a real bonus and not at all disruptive. We had a fantastic holiday.

Lovely property, the property owners are great and live next door, all I would say is that it is advisable to have a car for your stay, which the William the manager helped sort.

Just returned from 9 days in paradise. The Villa is perfect, we travelled all round the island and I can’t see where else I’d want to be. The sea is just a few short meters from the villa, you can stroll down an dip your feet in and swim from the rocks, nothing in front or around you.There are many tasty tavernas around, you ae 10 mins from a supermarket and the capital Argostolion, although we didn’t really go there, and in a perfect place that the furthest points of the island are about a hours drive away making everywhere accessible for a day trip.To reinforce other points about the proximity of the airport, really do no worry. Any noise from the planes is very short (from hearing them land/start up to them being gone is about 5 mins max) and it is a very quiet airport so no early morning, no nights and quite often none at all. The advantage of having an unobstructive view over the ocean, amazing sunsets and hearing the sounds of the oceans 24/7 more than outweighs the very occasional and short noise from a plane.20 mins from leaving the airport you can be in the pool with a Mythos in hand while the others from your plane will still be traveling to their accommodation. It really isn’t an issue at all. Not even a little one.Hosts were excellent as well, even allowing us back to chill by the pool after our flight home was put back by 6 hours.We will be back, no doubt.

This is a superb property and like other reviews the airport's proximity did not affect our holiday at all. The owners that live next door were incredibly nice and totally respected our privacy but were seriously really helpful when we were locked in due to the cyclone Lanos/medicane that hit Kefalonia really badly. The property is simply stunning and was extremely clean and very well equipped. Even though the weather was seriously extreme for a couple of days we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was very welcomed to be away from it all. Thank you very much to all and hope to be back soon. If I have one small comment to make is that it would be great if a small amount of washing up liquid and a sponge is left at the property!!! nothing really serious though :-)

Within 40 minutes of landing we arrived in heaven. This villa is stunning. We could not get over the stunning sea views. There are numerous areas to eat outdoors and we loved the pool. Communication with the manager was perfect throughout and we wanted for nothing. The proximity to the airport was not a problem for us as we love plane spotting and there were no really early or late night flights. We felt safe and happy and all the Greek people we met were warm and welcoming. We have already booked to return next year.

Amid all the madness of this year, all we wanted was a week in the sun to relax and get away from it all. This vila provided just that! The pool and surrounding area are fantastic with a number of seating / lounging areas. Inside is spacious and the downstairs sleeping area us like a self contained apartment in itself. There are some lovely beaches nearby. But also we found some hidden away when we went down to the sea via the gate at the rear of the garden. Great snorkeling off the rocks too! I totally agree with comments about the airport, really not a problem with the added bonus of just 15 min drive to the villa. The owners were very welcoming and Angela the manager was excellent. All through the process, including any Covid 19 related enquiries, she was helpful and very reassuring. Keffalonia was stunning and we felt very safe. We certainly hope to return soon. We had a great week at this beautiful villa. It was spotlessly clean and set in lovely spacious grounds with three outside seating options, all with amazing views. It is seconds away from the sea where we snorkelled from the rocks. Very short drive to three lovely sandy beaches and tavernas. It is right behind the runway but it only bothered us a little on a Saturday when there are more planes. The owners are very kind and brought us vegetables, eggs and wine! The pool is really quite big and has a lovely setting. We did a lot less than we had planned to do because it really was lovely just to hang out at the villa. Please note that the google maps link takes you to another villa! We called the property manager and she helped us with directions so it wasn’t a problem.

Our second time staying here. Perfect villa and perfect location. Airport very close but not a bother with noise. Will be coming back for a third visit very soon i hope.

This house was perfect. Go to sleep listening to the waves. Gorgeous views, walking distance to two excellent tavernas, a five minute walk to Ammes beach for swimming, and a 3 minute drive to our favourite beach -Minnies. We recommend the Belmar Cafe in the beach. No music (!) and great coffee. Only 5 Euro’s for 2 sun beds and shade. We explored the whole island and are quite certain our choice was best. Thank you to Peter and his wife for their kindness during our stay.

From start to finish everything was so easy and when I overpaid (!) it was refunded immediately by Angela the property manager who has been excellent throughout. Amazing location don’t want to leave. The planes are amazing to watch and flight radar took some hammer looking where they were coming from and going to. Brilliant fantastic holiday.

A truly stunning villa with sea views, set in lovely grounds, equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. We had a truly amazing stay, the villa is just a short ride (10 mins max in a taxi). Everything was so easy, plenty of taverna's in walking distance as well as some lovely beaches, would definitely recommend this villa.

We read the reviews before booking and can now say we’d agree with them all . We had the best time at the villa and would definitely book it again . Angela the property manager was so helpful from the very start even down to recommending car hire taxi and places to eat .Peter the property owner took us up into the mountains to a beautiful taverna which we enjoyed so much Although the villa is near the airport that didn’t cause a problem , in fact we enjoyed watching the planes and there were only a few

This is the 3rd time I have been to this Villa and is never fails to amaze me. The peace and quiet despite being next to the runway is just perfect for me. The Villa next door is the owners own home and there is no other accommodation within close the close vicinity. If you want a ‘get away’ break - this is above 5 stars !!!

great location - 5 minutes from airport but noise of planes does not bother you. Very private and secure.

We have had 10 villa holidays over recent years and this was by far the best. I had concerns before we arrived that the proximity to the airport would be intrusive and an irritation and while you cannot deny you could literally disembark the plane on arrival, turn around and walk 500 yards and be in the villa grounds, if anything it was enjoyable and amusing watching the planes land and take off! And there were never more than 6ish a day, sometimes 2ish and none at night. The villa itself is very comfortable with lots of space across 3 floors. We didn't use the basement floor at all apart from the loo there but it would sleep two on futons. The views from the bedrooms and the terrace on the living floor are SPECTACULAR. right over the sea, we spent hours sitting there reading and watching the boats and cruise liners coming in and out of the harbour, as well as the sunsets. I loved that I could see and hear the sea from my pillow. But it is the grounds that made it for me, so much outside space, a beautiful pool, several shaded areas to sit and eat or read or play cards in. The owner's live next door and we chatted while they collected their grapes from the vineyard. There was no toaster and they provided one the day after we requested it. A gate at the bottom of the garden leads directly to the rocks and the sea... If you walk a few minutes in either direction the sea is easily accessible for swimming and snorkeling. There are three or four tavernas and a beach within walking distance, although we tended to drive to drinks or dinner there and walk back when it was cooler. All in all 10/10 and was very sad to leave. Would deffo return.

We have just returned from our fourth visit to the villa, four years running ! We are a family of four including two 18 year old's and we all absolutely love this place, home from home. As I have said before the Villa has everything you need, is spotless with a beautiful pool and stunning views. Angela is fantastic always recommending new places for us. This year we hired out a boat for the day from Agia Efmia ( just passed Sami) with a company called Yellow boats. This is a beautiful drive , a great way to see more of the Island. We all had great fun on the boat, discovering deserted coves along the way. We also returned back to Mrytos beach and went over to XI beach in Luxouri. Our favourite restaurants are Casa Grek in Argostoli & Il Borgos.. Peter And Tassi are the owners who live next door. They are lovely, very generous hosts.We as a family have had the best holidays here and look forward to coming back !

We had a wonderful holiday. The villa was just perfect, comfortable & immaculately clean and we arrived to a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam & eggs -being able to make a cup of tea was just what was needed after travelling. Pool and surrounding patio area was wonderful for a relaxing day or evening with plenty of seating and dining areas. Iovely garden with lawn and vineyard beyond and beyond that the sea. A great place to sit and watch the sunset. Close to airport but this didn't detract at all from the villa, in fact we enjoyed watching the planes come and go. Lovely sandy beach within 5 minutes walk which didn't get busy even at end of July and a few tavernas and mini markets also within walking distance. Car hire definitely a must to be able to see all the island. We loved the island and would definitely return to it and the villa. It was a pleasure dealing with Angela throughout

This was our fifth visit to kefalonia the villa was of very good quality very very clean with all of the mod cons Very confident to the airport which could sometimes get rather loud but there are no night time flights Amazing views, a lovely pool area, lots of different seating areas Close to some of kefalonias best beaches and restaurants we would definitely stay at the villa again If i could criticize two things then it would be the lack of wine glasses and pool towels would be a nice touch

This was our second holiday in the Villa Vinaria Litoa. Once again we had a great time, and everything more than lived up to expectations. The Villa is in a wonderful place - overlooking the sea, with all sorts of boats to watch by day, and beautiful sunsets across the sea every evening. The Villa is built and equipped to an exceptionally high standard with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house was cleaned and bedding and towels changed twice during our visit. The pool is excellent and again beautifully clean. The surrounding area is 'quiet' - there are three good beaches within walking distance, and also several great places to eat. Our favourite once again was the Katoupas Paradise - on the cliff top overlooking Ammes Beach. There is always a warm welcome, and the food is good, with an excellent choice. We were never disappointed ! We loved the ferry from Argostoli to Lixouri, and went several times just for the journey - a nice cold drink - and back in time for lunch. The fruit and veg market in Argostoli is well worth a visit with a great choice ! We preferred the beaches to the south - smaller, friendlier, and never crowded. Avithos is good for a daytime visit or a lovely walk in the evening. It is really good to to enjoy everything at a very leisurely pace - which is just what we wanted. We still feel that this is the best place for a holiday that we have ever been to. Many thanks to Angela and to Peter for your welcome and your care.

The villa has plenty of facilities to offer including hairdryer and we even had a little welcome pack of bread, milk, coffee and tea on arrival. There is a new vineyard at the back of the house you can walk through and the rocks are behind that - clamber over the rocks to be able to swim in the sea and snorkel. I enjoyed on an evening just sitting in the terrace and listening to the sea breaking on the rocks !
