The property was nice and very comfortable, the location was fantastic and the hosts were extremely accommodating and communicative. The owners who live upstairs were very nice - waving down from their balcony to let us know to tell them if we need anything. We had a great stay and wanted for nothing. Would stay again! The proximity to the beach and nature preserve is perfect.

We had the pleasure of staying this past week in this adorable home. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked. The hosts were easily able to get ahold of and always making sure our stay was perfect! Would recommend to anyone!! FIVE STARS!!!

This was a great place for my family of 4 (kids are elementary school aged). Playground right out the back door! Easy walk to nice sandy beaches on the Merrimack River. At low tide the beach has many little tide pools that are shallow and fun for kids. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for the week to have our meals there. Beds were comfortable and household linens provided. We loved having the grill and picnic table outside. Building owners were very nice to chat with when we saw them (but did not intrude). Opening the front window and back door got a nice breeze from land or sea to keep the living area cool. The one drawback we had was on two very hot days. (with no breeze/land breeze). My kids adored the small bunk bed room. But between no AC in that bedroom and the water heater or furnace also being in the closet, the room got very warm. There is a really great fan in the room to circulate air which helped a lot. By the second day, we figured out we needed to start the fan way before bedtime to make it more comfortable. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for; a quiet family-oriented spot to get away and spend our days at the beach. My kids are already asking when we can go back again! Kudos to Sean and Mike for creating a really nice little place to stay on Plum Island.

We liked the configuration of 3 bedrooms and having 1.5 bathrooms, perfect for us as grandparents with two grandchildren. We loved being able to walk right down to the beach at any time. Low tide was especially interesting. Short drive to other beach and Parker Reserve was wonderful.

Ship’s Anchor was the perfect escape to celebrate my 61st birthday with my husband. We have rented many VRBO/Home-Away condos, apartments, and houses in Massachusetts, across the country, and throughout Europe, and Ship’s Anchor was definitely one of my favorites. The apartment had everything that I look for, and nothing that I dread. The apartment was bright, cheerful, well-decorated, and immaculate. There was the perfect amount of beachy touches…and no clutter. The owners were friendly and helpful. My husband and I both felt at home. The location is ideal. We are big fans of Plum Island and enjoyed two great days of hiking. It was also great having the beach so close by. With family in the area, we will definitely be back!

We had a very nice weekend here. We had a few issues which were taken care of promptly. It is a short drive into Newburyport and all in all a great location within walking distance to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It was clean and well-maintained…and very cute! The beds were very comfortable and they had everything we needed for our short stay. Sean was excellent at communication-even letting us know we could check in a little early! The only thing we didn’t like about this rental was having to pay such a huge security deposit when we booked the house several months in advance of staying.

Was disappointed with cleanliness upon arrival - food and crumbs on butcher block countertop and tablecloth, unswept floors, wet bath mat... Host quickly brought a new bath mat shortly after we alerted him. Couch fits two comfortably, three is a stretch - not as comfortable to relax if you have more than 2 adults. Room with bunk beds does not have air conditioning and also has adjoining closet with some mechanical equipment that puts off a lot of heat. The room felt too hot for our toddler to sleep with the door closed at night. Overall a good trip, but would look to stay elsewhere if we visited the area again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this rental. Sean was very responsive answering some questions we had prior to arrival, and the recommendations he provided for the area were great! I was amazed with how clean this property was, and had such nice high quality mattresses and linens which made our stay that much more enjoyable. We also discovered the Parker River Refuge beaches which were truly stunning and only about a 10 min ride away. Our kids loved the playground directly behind the property (as pictured) and the path to the lookout also behind the property which became our morning ritual. The apartment was well equipped with everything needed and grill was also very clean so made it easy for cooking in. Being so close to the ocean there were cool breezes every night so rarely needed to use the AC units. Thank you for a great stay!

The house is perfect. Very clean, stocked with everything you will need, and plenty of space for your own belongings. It is in a great location - just steps away from the beach. Also a short walk to other beach access points, which are also great to check out. Sean is a wondering host - very responsive to any needs or questions.

Went back for the second year in a row. Love the cute, beachy apartment. Property manager and owners very nice and accommodating. Proximity to the beach is perfect, and nice to have a small private beach to enjoy. Plenty to do in the area, even while socially distancing! Hope to go back again next year!

Fantastic - hope to be back next year

Everything was as advertised. The owners are very nice and responsive. The unit worked really well with our toddler. It was safe for her and a public playground and the path to the beach are just steps from the back door. (Just be aware that the full bath has a large nice shower but no bathtub.) The kitchen suited all of our needs, we made two dinners in the house. And the mattresses were very comfortable, always an added bonus when traveling.

This rental on Plum Island was the perfect spot for a week vacation with family. Situated on the tip of Plum Island, it was just a short walk to the beach for play or to view beautiful sunsets. The owners were keen to make sure their home felt like our own. Everything was perfect and so clean. It’s hard to know which property to choose when booking online, and we have been burned before by inaccurate descriptions. You can absolutely rest assured that you will be completely satisfied and enjoy your stay at this rental property!

We loved staying here!!! Sean was so professional, responsive, genuine, and accommodating. The place was perfect space and location for my husband, 2.5 yo daughter and myself. We also entertained other families throughout the week, and had my parents stay over one night while we did a date night in Newburyport. Love there are 2 walking beaches nearby, large outdoor space for grilling/ hanging and playground steps away. The cleanliness and beautiful beachy decor in rental was just icing on cake for our stay. Thank you Sean and family!!! Look forward to working with you again and being back on Plum!

It was a perfect week. We felt instantly at home and relaxed. Property was spotless and had everything we needed.

I was fortunate to find this beautiful gem of a rental available for a short, beach getaway with my elderly father. This rental has ample space (3 bedrooms!) and a wonderful master bedroom with an en-suite half bath. The kitchen is well appointed with lovely dishes and glassware (I would recommend an investment in some plastic for those traveling with children or just clumsy adults!) The back patio area has 2 adirondack chairs, a picnic table and a porch swing! The breeze is amazing. A short walk through the public parking area brings you to a short maintained walkway to a lovely beach. The entire condo is pristine - clean, crisp and attractive. The pictures don't even do it justice! The property manager was attentive and responded to emails almost immediately. I am very excited to rent this property in the future! This was the cleanest rental space I have ever stayed in - bathrooms, kitchen, living room, bed room were immaculate and very well decorated. We had plenty of space for 6 of us - 4 teens and 2 adults. The manager was very accommodating and responded quickly to questions. It was an easy walk to the beach on the north end of Plum Island. We would definitely stay again.
