We had a lovely stay. Traveling with a toddler, I appreciated that the playground is gated. Our kids had a great time on the playground (better than pictures!), swings all around the property and entertainment options available (foosball, water crafts, volleyballs, so much more!). The house was clean-- so much so that I didn't even feel the need to sanitize upon arrival as I often do in rentals. Our host was very gracious to come and deliver extra dish washer detergent pods. The kitchen is large, with great pots and pans to use (a rarity with rentals!). Two dishwashers is a cook's dream! The soft ice machine was my personal fav in the kitchen. Bring some flavored syrups and make snow cones! A few items to note for planning purposes-- you definitely want to bring all food items with you to the island. Waiting for the ferry can definitely add a decent amount of travel time, but there is ice cream and playgrounds at Steilacoom! The living room at the rental is sunken with a few steps. Overall, the views were amazing, access to water great. The property has plenty of activities onsite-- no need to leave unless you want to go explore other parts of the island. A lovely property and home and we will for sure return. Thank you so much!

We have stayed at many homes in the Puget Sound and this one by far is our new favorite! The grounds are large and comfortable offering everything a family could want - beach front, grass to play in, gardens and orchards to explore, playground, pickleball and so much more. Our family LOVES to cook and eat meals outside. The kitchen is large with multiple cooking tops, dishwashers, and large counter space. The deck was our favorite place to be! Sometimes the summer heat at other homes on the sound makes it hard to be outside in the afternoon, but the wonderful tree that grows next to the deck here offers amazing shade on the home and deck for every meal and an afternoon nap!

This is our 4th time here. We love the location of the property and all the activities. They make it so easy to come and enjoy the space. So amazing!

This family home is situated on a small orchard and had activities to keep our little family busy for over a week! A pickleball court, kayaks, a canoe, ping pong, fusbol, a hot tub, endless grass, a garden and an orchard! One of the cleanest homes we've ever stayed in and had an amazing kitchen. We had campfires at the waters edge nearly every night! We can't wait to return for another stay!

This has been our go to place on the island for the last 3 years. We have made many memories and look forward to many more at this property. Merlene is an amazing hosts and always has everything you could need on the property. She is always easily reached if need be or if we have any questions. If you want to stay at a place where you can just relax and enjoy nature and peace and tranquillity, this is the place! Wake up so a beautiful view overseeing the water and breathing fresh air! We look forward to many more stays at “our happy place”.

We so enjoyed our stay at the beach house. My toddler exhausted himself everyday playing on the swings, collecting seashells, and splashing pebbles into the bay. His grandparents enjoyed the sunsets, cozy blankets on the deck, and beautiful landscaping. The island also has well groomed walking paths and hiking trails perfect for families. We’re already checking our calendars for the next time we can all get together at the beach house.

We enjoyed walking on the property, sitting in the sun and watching the tides … a little cold for water sports yet but great place for a family fun!

My family enjoyed a cozy, snowy winter stay! Such s gorgeous spot with plenty of fun activities for the whole family and gorgeous views! The water is so clear and calm so we will look forward to a warmer month stay too. The owner is so kind and communicative. A south puget sound gem!

We spent our Thanksgiving and weekend on the island. We enjoyed a canoe ride on the Puget Sound and saw Mt Rainier on the way back to the cove! We went for a drive and walked a trail again being blessed to see Mt Rainer. But the house was lovely, very comfortable with a large kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed playing Pickle Ball, Table Tennis and Foosball, finding shells and enjoying the water. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We highly recommend this property!

Being directionally disabled challenged my finding this lovely place. Once found it was more than I hoped for. It was a joyful, peaceful and relaxing experience surrounded by Mother Nature! The hosts are exceptionally generous and kind. I felt exceptionally blessed.

This was second stay at the beach house., it was so great the first time, I came back and will visit again in the future. The beach house is immaculate, secluded, and extremely relaxing. It was the perfect place to stay and unwind. Merlene (the host) is incredibly friendly and responsive. There is no better place to stay.

All I can say is we didn’t want to leave. It was beyond our expectations. We look forward to the next time. :)

This place is a true gem. My September trip here started as a getaway with my high school friends. We swam at the swimming hole just a short drive away, but there is really enough to keep you occupied at the property itself. When my friends left, my family came to join me there for a few more days. It is very family friendly. Beachcombing, canoeing at sunset watching the seals, evening fire with complimentary s'mores, relaxing in the hot tub, swinging on the epic rope swing (I think my husband enjoyed this more than the kids), picking berries, kids playing on the play structure, eating fresh garden produce....the list goes on! We can't wait to go back.

The property is beautiful and will not disappoint, we really enjoyed our stay. From dipping our toes in the water looking for crabs, throwing rocks with our toddler, kayaking, making campfires at night and watching the sunset, this place has it all for a relaxing getaway and is perfect for families. They have a wonderful play structure for young kids and a game room for older kids and parents. You and your family will have a wonderful time here.

This was our 3rd time renting this house and it was perfect just like we remembered. It has everything you need and more! The hosts are so wonderful and are prompt with responses. It was a hard place to say goodbye to but we will definitely be back.

Beautiful property and views! All the comforts of home were there and so close to the water! We enjoyed our time as a family and made some new wonderful memories there. We picked vegetables from the garden and fruit from the trees, out favorite was the mulberries. We’d love to come back some time.

Simply our favorite vacation rental ever!!

From the minute we entered the home we knew we had made a fantastic choice for our vacation rental! The inside with the considerably large kitchen, sunken living room with super soft carpet and cozy furniture was wonderful enough but then you open the class doors out to the shady deck and beautiful view of the water, enormous grass lawn and large swings for ridiculous relaxation! We knew we would be coming back to stay here again next year! In addition to the above mentioned there is a garden with fresh veggies to cook with in the beautiful kitchen and a indoor game room and outside of that a pickleball court which we loved, we had never played before but now are hooked. Deer in the yard, Bald Eagles, and adorable seals playing in the water complete a trip we will always remember.

The house/property was absolutely amazing. This quiet inlet provided a wonderful escape from a busy life. Our kids loved exploring the huge property, paddling around the bay, finding treasures at low tide and swinging from the trees. We enjoyed the game room and water equipment daily. Waterside fires and late night board games allowed our family to reconnect. The home is relaxing and very quiet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The island is small and definitely worth exploring. Hiking trails, wildlife around every corner and two wonderful restaurants.

The beautiful beach front house is comfortable and has many useful features. Large acreage land, detached game room, several water crafts, and vegetable garden which gave everyone many fun things to do. The house was very clean and the yard was well kept. The view from the spacious deck of the sunset over the bay was a delight every night.

VRBO should have a property listing attribute to the effect of "grandparents spoil their families at this property"! Plenty of activities for the youngsters - new pickleball court, ping pong, foosball, kayaks, canoe... Some items are beginning to show their age (rowboat, beach chairs), but owners continue to invest in this property (new canoe, pickleball). We look forward to our next visit!

This is one of our favorite places to come to. We have gone twice now and it’s been great. So much to do for kids and adults. Great kitchen to cook in, indoor / outdoor feel in summer. Right on the sound. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. Kids loved finding little agates, rocks and shells. Beautiful property to walk around. Deer would come visit. In summer months there is a beautiful garden with treats to eat and so much fruit growing!! I can’t say enough about what a peaceful and beautiful slice of heaven this is. We’ll be back!

We love Amsterdam Bay. It was a dreamy stay with the hot tub, kayaks/canoes, fire pit at the beach and clean home. Serene location.

We loved our stay! This home is in such a charming area! It has everything that you could possibly need! The views are AMAZING! A must visit!

From the start our hosts were very sweet and accommodating. Our trip was our first as a family of four, and she was so very helpful with local insights to our visit. The home is so comfortable and well done, and the large beach made up many hours of adventure for our girls. If the weather was a little fussy, the large game room behind the home was so fun. We can’t stop talking about the trip, and can’t wait to stay here again next year.

Stayed four nights with my husband and our two young children who immediately paddled out in a canoe just before sunset. This home has so many fun things to do and lovely opportunities for relaxing. We took advantage of the beautiful fall weather by hiking trails on the island and returned to soak in the hot tub each afternoon. It was delightful.
