De aangeraden parkeergarage was buiten gebruik. Dit was niet bekend in het hotel waardoor we ‘s avonds op zoek moesten naar andere parkeerplaats

Somewhat fewer provisions in room than previously remember. Very meager soap/shower cream ‘rations’ - I know that these things have become more expensive but it is a bad image to skimp so much on consumables when your guests are paying for what should be a luxury room. I may be wrong but did the rooms not have wall mounted dispensers of soap - has it become so expensive?

Staff is super nice and diligent, very helpful. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is included, the buffet is nice, but not great. Location is fantastic. Close to the city's main attractions and located in a lovely neighborhood and near very good restaurants and pubs. Beware that the hotel is in the city center and the market sets on this square on Wednesdays and Saturdays; I love markets so for me it's great, but not so much for people who don't like busy places. Lots of good parking options nearby. Restaurant has a very nice terrace.

Not very clean, specially public areas such as hallways and elevators. Restaurant is clean. Rooms are very basic, the furniture is kinda old and run down, there is not a minibar or an iron. Bathroom is not good, it was hot all the time not well ventilated. Shower does not even have a doors or a curtain. Toiletries are almost non-existent, just a couple of tiny general purpose soap tubes and a small soap bar. No space whatsoever for personal items and other toiletries. Towels are clean. The room's carpet seems old and not very clean.

The welcome from staff was lovely, very kind and stored our bikes for us in the bike store. The breakfast was fabulous Convenient location

The breakfast room has a beautiful view over the market square. The breakfast is extensive and varied too. The central location made it easy to wander around the city centre.

The nearest parking was 100 metres away. This was no problem for me on a short trip but if I came with my family and had suitcases to carry, it would be very inconvenient. The shower has followed fashion but it is bad fashion. There is no door and the water flows over the floor of half the bathroom. A disaster I have seen in many hotels. If I know in advance I look for a different hotel. There is no table one can use for a laptop.

State of the room. Shabby carpet, rash light, no possibility to put out the head light from the bedside. Austere room, no frills at all. Not a single connection to the environment of Assen. Shower corners not clean. Very hot in the night, not comfortable. Very shabby chair and chest.

The room was quite small and dark but ok this wasn't an issue. Worse of all it was COLD! Jan is a cold month, but the AC didn't warm the room well enough... Also the AC made lots of random noises all the evening which was annoying. Don't understand why the 4 stars...
