very charming and authentic and great location

Charming Hotel, beautiful olde worldly. Good Facilities, Air Con. Pristine shower room, with shower, wash hand basin, bidet and loo, excellent Linen and towels, lovely quality and pristine. Quiet, Nice location, small village, very Spanish.

The only negative comment would be that the bed mattress wasn’t comfortable. Also as it is Spanish, and of course, the Spanish eat quite late in the evening, as travellers (we had sailed from the UK, then this was the overnight stop), we were weary, so just wanted to eat and an early night, but nothing open really. This isn’t a criticism, I should have taken this into account when booking.

There was nothing to dislike

The hotel is located within easy walking distance from all the major sights in Chinchon. The breakfast was very good with a mix of hot and cold dishes and the ability to eat outside on the glorious geranium filled patio. The underground parking was great value at E10 and is secure.

As with lots of hotels in Spain, the double room comprises 2 single beds.

The breakfast was excellent especially as we could eat outside in the pretty patio.

Spain was going through a mini heatwave. After a 5 hour drive we arrived hot and tired. The small room had been closed up all afternoon so the first thing we did was to put on the air conditioner. It didn't work and we were told there was only air conditioning in the summer. The fan worked but was set on heat! The room was hot, stuffy and airless so we had to have the doors open so we were in full view of the flats opposite, there was a streetlight directly opposite which lit up the room and we had to suffer traffic and conversation from the road. . I blame Booking.com as they state that there is air conditioning, they don't mention that it is only from June onwards! We would never have booked it if we'd known, we ALWAYS check that there is air conditioning as my wife suffers from the heat and she lay awake all night. We will never stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was so close to the central plaza in a most beautiful town. The lady at reception was so helpful and friendly and spoke brilliant English as my Spanish isn't very good. Lovely big room and bathroom. Had secure underground parking which was ideal as the town was very busy on the Sunday with families eating out at the numerous restaurants.

Mattress are not new ... a bit street noise on weekends ....

Our third visit... ideal location for stop over from Santander to Mojacar in Andalucia. Secure car parking. Large room with lovely terrace to enjoy the early evening sunshine. Comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities with complementary toiletries. Just 100m from Plaza Major and numerous restaurants etc.

A kettle and tea making facility in the room would have been appreciated
