The restaurants I didnt like the menu and the quality of foods

The room was excellent. It was extremely spacious. Really nice bathroom and shower. We also appreciated the free winery tour.

The restaurant space is insufficient for the size of the property. I accept that the restaurant with the tasting menu is going to be booked up in advance but the a la carte restaurant ought to be able to take guests booking on the day they arrive but it is simply not big enough. We were told we could eat in the wine bar but that was small so you had to get in there before it started serving food. The menu there was limited but what we had was good.

Excellent room and breakfast. Very striking building and location.

Restaurant lacked atmosphere. Price was very high.

The design of the hotel is amazing like no other hotel I have ever been in. Rooms in the main hotel are quirky in a good way due to the design. The wine tour as part of the stay was revealing.

Thé architecture, size of bedrooms & bathrooms, facilities, spa, restaurants and service were all of a very high standard.

stunning hotel, vv comfy beds/rooms, excellent food, staff could not have been more helpful, Stephanie in spa gave me an excellent scrub/massage - 10/10

our only criticism would be the main course on the set menu in the traditional restaurant was disappointing. (both beef cheeks and battered hake)

food was not good value for the Money , breakfast in one of the days was “ a la carte “ it seemed more like a 3 / 4 star hotel .

We had a lovely stay at the hotel.

The style of the hotel, the location, its facilities and the staff.

Only a couple of minor observations. The need to check the gel dispensers in the baths. Both were empty in both rooms. Staff very quick to take away used wine glasses, water glasses and coffee cups but then forgetting for hours to bring back replacements so we had to ask Reception to organise this.

To spend a few nights in a lovely hotel designed by Architect Frank Gehry was a real treat. We had high hopes and it delivered in full. The winery tour and first class dining were also exceptional experiences. It isn't cheap but sometimes you get what you pay for and we certainly did!

The TV offered only Spanish Channels or English programmes dubbed into Spanish. This seems to be common to other hotels we visited in the region but is a bit limited for a hotel with the Marques of Riscal's international status. Having said that, most of the time we were too busy just enjoying the place to bother with TV!

the amazing architecture and the giant deck area with an olive tree. also the view of the church in Elciego. the wine tour was a great bonus n
