Fantastic staff and great food, Really accomodating to be dog friendly.

The toilet required a better level of cleaning in our room, , Saying that generally the cleanliness level was good throughout the hotel.

I arrived to a friendly welcome (Anne, I think), and really informative. She helped me store my bicycle in a safe room for the night and on check out I was helped to collect it. My room was really spacious, clean with all the facilities I needed. The breakfast selection was great and I would happily stay here again in future.

My room had slightly outdated decor, but this didn't effect the comfort or my experience at the hotel.

The car park and I got my money back despite being told they couldn't refund me as I had booked through Booking dot com. only when I mentioned that I'd write a review did they refund me.

I couldn't sleep due to cooling fans running all night room 201. shower didn't, carpets were thread bare, couldn't turn rad off. had to get tools from car to turn it off as it was full on, and room was too hot.

Free parking, good evening meal and breakfast, friendly welcoming staff, clean throughout, very small but functional shower room.

Bedroom needs updating although has everything you need. Room extremely warm. Something banging all night outside which kept us awake on and off.

Location for visiting friends was great, evening function on the Friday was fantastic food and staff

Historic hotel in the centre of Swaffham with comfortable rooms and very pleasant and helpful staff. The food is traditional pub fare and there is a reasonable wine list and choice of beers. The breakfast offered was good.

Food was a little uninspiring.

Function room opposite bedroom loud music till late. People talking outside our window . Rooms looking tired. Will not be using again..

The room didn’t look freshly cleaned when we arrived (but we’re not fussy so didn’t say anything but despite leaving the ‘please service room’ thing on our door after a couple of days, it was still not vacuumed or the towel changed which we’d put in the bath as per environmental instructions (and not used, as it was dirty before we arrived). None of the staff seem interested or bothered about the environmental impact of leaving the toaster churning out heat (and noise) regardless of whether it’s in use or having windows wide open to cool the dining room down when the radiators are set at their highest temperature. Disappointing.

The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and plenty of room. Breakfast was good, also the evening meal. Gillian, waitress at breakfast was friendly and helpful. The receptionist, Anne was also friendly and helpful.

The only problem with our stay was the bathroom, although the bathroom was clean the shower was not fit for use. The showerhead could not be put upright making it difficult to have a shower satisfactorily. For some bizarre reason a box of soap had been placed at the back of the showerhead, also a plastic disposable knife was wedged in the showerhead fitting, no doubt to try and make the showerhead stay upright, however this did not work. We had a 2 night stay, complained about the showerhead but nothing was done. This is our only complaint about the hotel.
