The location is wonderful, very nice views and a good starting point for many of the places to visit in the Black Forest. The breakfast was great and the restaurant served delicious dinner. There were tons available for kids at the restaurant

It was a hot summer and the beds had thick duvets and no sheets. Even the mattress cover was not cotton but something to keep you warm (it was scorching, and no A/C). Also not very comfy pillows. But overall really enjoyed our stay

Restaurant staff didn't speak English so ordering was a bit of a gamble but then again we coukd have been better at our German

the room was very nice and clean. the location was perfect (close to the station and numbers of outdoor activities easily reachable by public transport). the food served at the rest was extremely good. the staff very helpful and friendly.

Really nicely located and our room had a great view. The personal was really friendly and it was great with a bar and a restaurant at the hotel.

Warm welcome, good, quiet location. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. Although we arrived on a Tuesday, the restaurant was full, mostly with non-residents (we hadn't thought to book) , but we were found a table in the bar. The menu was good, and the meal and service excellent.

If I had to find any fault it was that the wifi connection in the room was intermittent. Other than that, just perfect!

Stayed at hotel on a Monday and only found out when I arrived that restaurant is closed on Mondays. I found another restaurant nearby, so not a big issue

the facility was clean and cozy…a great launching place for many snow activities. the restaurant had delicious and unique dishes. a great vacation place for families.

Unfortunately, the beds were a bit hard and the cushions very flat but that was actually not a big deal. What could have been better was the smell in the restaurant and breakfast dining hall; the food is amazing and perfect regarding price quality, however the fatty smell of schnitzels stays in the whole restaurant all day from breafast till evening, which gets in to your clothing. Because of the fatty smell we only dined there once as this was kind of a quality bummer for us.

My room in cellar was horrible, dark a very old.

We have stayed at this lovely hotel 3 nights and therefore we had from the staff a Schwarzwald Ticket, which allow to go on train and on the cableway on the Feldberg (in our case) for free. We stayed here with our dog in a lovely and comfortable room with a window. The hotel has a Biergarten and a restaurant. Because of the Coronavirus the breakfast is not very good handled: it needs more staff! Nevertheless it was very good and abundant. Hinterzarten is a small village but it is perfect to go walking in the nature and it is not so far away from Titisee (we could also with our dog take a bath, where not so many people are). The cleaning service was perfect and the room was very fresh and provided with a small kitchen, fridge and hair dryer. Parking is close to the hotel.

As i said, because of the Coronavirus the breakfast is not very good handled: it needs more staff! You can take by yourself only yogurt, fruit, chocolate, ham (with cheese, butter and so on..) and juice. The rest is served from the staff but there was not so many waitress and waiters!
