The location is nice and close to the National park and also away from the hustle of town.

The buildings were quite outdated The staff (while majority very nice including at the pool towel and the upstairs sunset bar ) there were a select few (at the beach bar and the spa) that were not very friendly. The spa treatment was very disappointing. I booked a massage and a facial and the massage was not great and the facial smelt like they used soured yoghurt and caused me to break out quite badly. I would definitely not go to the spa again and was very disappointed noting the price of it.

Top Lage, sehr großes Zimmer, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück. Gesamte Anlage sehr sauber !

Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sollten mall wieder renoviert werden. Den Weg unten am Strand sollte man auch befestigen ... Sand ist nicht optimal .

Wir haben eine Poolvilla gebucht. Diese war sehr komfortabel und sehr schön eingerichtet. Auch verfügte sie über einen eigenen Pool und eine Gartenlounge, welche wir sehr genossen haben.

Superb accommodation and great swimming pools. Cannot wait to come back.

Hotel breakfast was not as good as we had experienced elsewhere but there were a good range of choices and everything was fresh. Pasties, crumpets and waffles rather disappointing. Egg chef a bit hit and miss at times.

Fantastic breakfast in the pavilion down by the sea. The whole resort is very nicely designed and it feels like you have a lot of privacy. Nice gardens and pools a bit hidden between bungalows and villas. Fabulous stretch of beach, even after a walk along the beach all the way to the Bang Niang inlet/river we liked the beach of Moracea best: nice and sandy, never crowded and with nice waves. There is a very nice bar at the beach. The resort is spread along a hillside, but this was not a big problem as every care was taken to make bungalows and rooms accessible and it was quick and easy to order a buggy if you didn't feel like walking. We travelled in the monsoon season, and we needed the buggy a couple of days as the main rain shower was after breakfast. It's a 10-minute walk to the Khao Lak village and there's restaurants even closer, which was nice as the hotel restaurant is rather pricy and gets easily boring. It is easy to organize tours by yourself, we went to an elephant camp by taxi, to the sea turtle conservatory and waterfalls by private car, and to the James-Bond Island (private car to the coast and hired a boat on the spot) at Phang Nga. There were no tours to the Similan Islands in monsoon season. The hotel has good airconditioning (not noisy or too cold) and the showers were hot and had excellent pressure (which is often a problem in Thailand). The staff was very friendly and helpful with every wish.

The rain was a bit boring as it kept raining 2 of the 4 days of our stay, and then there is not so much to do around. Of course this is not the hotels fault. However, the tour operator located in the lobby is not very helpful and has very limited (and pricy) tours on offer. But there is always a local taxi on the road just outside that can give you all the tourist information you need.
