Magnifique hôtel avec une situation idéale tout proche du lac. Beau jardin avec terrasse pour déguster les succulents plats du restaurant.

Nice view on the lake and mountains

very good, like the view of the lake with snowpeaks in the distance and green trees close to the hotel. The architecture of the main building is marvellous, traditional old mansion house close to the lake, laid back from the main road, on a side road slightly up the hill. The annexe part is modern, very functional. Parking facilities are close to the hotel.

2 times I dad dinner in the hotel restaurant, one time the fish was extremely oversalted, second time the sweet and sour vegetarian dish was that much sour you couldn't eat - no replacement had been offered.

Excellent granola. Good coffee of several varieties. Enjoyed speaking with new wait staff person who spoke excellent English because she lived in the US in the state of Illinois where I was raised!

Did not like not have access to English language TV stations.

My rating was mostly based on the impeccable unforgettable view from the room and the cleanliness. Improvement can surely be made in staff friendliness and surely the breakfast. For the prices paid in Switzerland in comparison with the rest of Europe, the breakfast could have been much better. Of course I haven't stayed in a five star but a way better breakfast has been expected. Having said that as I said the room view still make it all worth it.

Really loved my stay here. The view from the room and restaurant was amazing. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The free bud around the lakes was a great bonus.

Rooms would have benefit from a kettle and minibar.

The mostly homemade breakfast buffet with some delicious products i've never heard of before, the efficien hair dryer, the view on Niesen, the confortable bed.
