We were able to pay & park our car securely inside the grounds at a small price while we were away walking for several days. Staff couldn't have been more helpful

The 16-bed dorm was comfortable enough. Bed sheets with elastic makes bed preparation so easy. Everyone has a big locker, and it’s not a huge room but a long room with corners. It was always quiet, and I managed to sleep well. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a place to store your luggage. The kitchen is enormous, and the WiFi works excellently which is not common in Australia.

The kitchen could be cleaner. Honestly, the kitchen was cleaned at least 3x a day, but I guess the guests didn't clean so well after themselves. The pool could be better maintained and cleaned. The kitchen cleaning missed the tables outside

If I was reviewing this on the staff alone it would be top marks because they were so friendly and welcoming, really lovely people who work very hard. We had a double room which was comfortable and clean, the air con was automatic but helped kept the room cool as did the fan. They put on BBQs and movie nights on the projector which was great. Bathrooms were always clean. Despite the high crime rate we did feel safe in the hostel, they seemed to have a good security system.

The pool wasn’t usable throughout our whole stay and this wasn’t acknowledged at any point of our stay. You couldn’t see the bottom from where it hadn’t been cleaned for a while and this really did affect our stay. Alice springs is unfortunately now a place that isn’t all that safe and there was nothing to do outside the hostel unless you were spending $$$ to go on an excursion out of town. So we were expecting to have a relaxing pool day but couldn’t even do that which was such a shame. Other guests left their mess everywhere after cooking in the kitchen also.

The staff on the front desk were super friendly and helpful.
