Great location nice and tidy staff really friendly

I booked a pool villa for 10800 baht for 3 nights , everything looked like what wanted. As we were going to have friends over. We payed for the room ( which was a mistake , should have checked out the room for lack of AC in the living room ) it was + 36C when I asked where AC was , sorry only in the bedroom. The Thai lady ( who was very nice ) had a large spray bottle for mosquitos and she spray now or later ? because the room has a lot of mosquito,s ? So we looked at other rooms and took a cheaper room ( no refund or price reduction , they did give me a voucher for 2000 baht at restaurant ) so I payed approx 3000 baht a night for a 2150 baht a night room .

Soft comfortable beds in the two bedroom suite, heaps of space, large fridge, Saltwater pool, heaps of trees and tropical gardens surrounding the resort main area has a great tropical feeling overlooking the ocean, umbrellas with lounge pool chairs, well stocked bar, friendly staff, relaxing quiet location, beautiful fresh food at reasonable resort rates, cold air-conditioning in bedrooms, fans in living and outdoor kabanas plus sea breeze.

Limited breakfast options for children 10 year old, bit isolated if you have no transport

The step up to the bed and steps down to the bathroom was really hard

The location is great. The staff are lovely. Rooms are very comfortable. Food is amazing.

The hotel was brilliant. I just found at times the pool wasn't cleared from guests rubbish or restaurant floors with dropped food was missed from previous guests, attracting a few bugs. Only minimal things though!

Room (number 21) did not match the room description at all for a Deluxe Double or Twin Room. No mini bar, no seating area. Situated in a dark corner amongst staff accommodation and close to the kitchen (noise and food smells). Gloomy and poorly furnished, looked more like an office. Twin beds requested but not provided, extra ‘put you up’ bed was provided but this was uncomfortable and the headboard was a damaged wooden plank. Broken drawers.

The staff at both Atmanjai and Friendship Beach Resort are the soul and joy of the establishment, particularly the administrative staff that make it all 'tick'. Their knowledge of the program, the pros and cons of the experience allows them to build an excellent relationship with people (guests). Similar with the restaurant, housekeeping and reception staff they are knowledgeable out the delicious food, especially the vegan/vegetarian dishes and very kind, friendly people - an absolute joy.

The fitness area was in poor condition at the time, no towels, water & crappy fans, weights strewn everywhere, no power to the rowing machine, dirty mats. The premises is a little out of the way from shopping areas, this has its pros and cons, but was restrictive seeing the local area, especially if you like to walk around.

The food, the friendly staff, the open air gym was great for keeping up strength for climbing in Krabi. The pool was excellent and opened at 7am - perfect for a pre-breakfast swim. Drinks and food portions very generous.

Although beautiful, the sea was not deep enough to swim in and walking in the beach is quite limited.

property was great. very quiet and a good distance away from the main road. plenty of privacy and very clean. pool is great size and all lounge areas have a great view of the ocean.

Beachfront room was within 2 metres of water (in high tide). Very quiet location. Not many guests, therefore feeling of privacy.

(Hope these are constructive for the resort management) Major problems: 1. At check out, the only member of staff at reception (he could not get any help from other staff) clearly had problems dealing with the one departing guest who had got there earlier than me. His limited English and very timid nature meant there was a total lack of communication between him, who uttered only a few, almost inaudible words during the whole process, and an admittedly rather assertive, unsmiling foreigner who was challenging the final bill. Apparently she eventually won the battle, but I had to watch this mostly silent battle until I could pay my bill over half an hour later, worrying about missing the flight. (Otherwise the rest of my experience with the resort staff was generally positive.) 2. Bathroom water quality atrocious - had to run the tub and shower taps at maximum until the muddy water became a lighter brown colour (a layer of silt was collected at the bottom of the tub in the meantime) - I gave up the wait and had to put up with showering myself in light brown water. 3. On the last morning, the toilet became blocked and flushing water almost overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Calls to the reception for help did not produce any assistance and I had to use the public facilities.

Great location for going up the east coast or going via Rawai beach and around. The fish market and big budda are close by via scooter.

The pool and restaurant area are amazing. very comfortable, relaxing, with the best view of the beach/sea/islands. The room we had was quite basic but clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was varied and very tasty. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Perfect place for a lazy getaway
