Liked the caldera view & good proximity to restaurants, stores, attractions

very expensive compared to other hotels we stayed at during our travels in Greece. We didn’t like the single cot for the second person.

The location was superb and the staff were extra helpful , extra friendly and approachable and always on hand to make sure we were safe and comfortable. The male receptionist who worked the mornings was so friendly and helpful and delightful to talk too. The young man that helped us with our luggage was super friendly, helpful and accomodating. Having travelled Europe and stayed in hotels numerous times , the staff that work for the “Kavalari Hotel” are simply exceptional, best hotel experience to date !

Very poor facilities. Bed was good, but the room was damp, with only window leading to the common courtyard. Staff have to bring dehumidifier between guests visits to help it. Wals are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbors using toilet at night...in great detail.

The staff were amazing! Everyone there made you feel like you were at home. The views were breathtaking, the breakfast was delicious, and our rooms were one of a kind! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

There were a lot of stairs but my legs look great lol and the friendly staff made up for it.

Excellent location, close to everything. The hotel staff, from reception to the guy the helps with luggage, they were all very kind and attentive. The hotel’s sunset view is beautiful, there is no need to go to Oia, and you will avoid the oia crowds!

WiFi was spotty to non-existent. I know you don’t visit Santorini to surf the internet but to be able to FaceTime and connect back home is important

Decor was neat and clean but furniture was a little old and the air conditioner was not the most powerful. The bed was comfortable and the room was a great size for two people.

The view from this hotel cannot be beat. Watching the sunset over the caldra and surrounding islands was was amazing. The rooms were Cycladic-style giving a real authentic Greek feel. Our bathroom had an exposed rock wall adding to the charm. The staff were friendly and were very helpful. They all seemed to enjoy their job making us feel very welcome. The rooms are not overly large but there was plenty of space for two people. Our room opened onto the terrace which gave it a feeling of added space. Because the rooms are like a cave they were very quiet giving you a good night's sleep. Truly I could've sat on the terrace staring at the sea all day. I liked everything about this hotel. Some people may find the stairs difficult. There are lots of stairs which in my opinion added to the charm. We were only mid way down and only stayed 3 nights. I could see if you were closer to the bottom or here for longer the charm of the stairs may wear off. Loved loved loved the view.

If I had to make one suggestion at an improvement it may be the breakfast. Food tasted great and was very fresh but, they serve the exact same thing each morning. It would be great if they could mix it up a bit. This was common at a number of hotels we stayed at in Greece though.

This hotel was centrally located in Fira. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The view was excellent! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Be prepared for a lot of stairs!

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The architecture of the room was so cozy, clean and thematic (it looked like the inside of a Cycladic cave). Breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea and volcano was beautiful.

Amazing view of the sunsets and cruise boats arriving. Amazing breakfast seating area and food.
