Beautiful location right on the beach make sure to get a room with AC. it is HOT.

If you are driving, the road down to the hotel is very steep and poorly maintained. you may want to park in town and walk down. the manager is also frequently unavailable and the rest of the staff doesn’t speak much English

The property was excellently located practically on the beach. The beach was the best in the area. The staff was very kind and helpful. Food was varied and tasty. I would recommend this hotel.

A few things need improvement: 1. The room did not have a piece of furniture with drawers and hangers to kept the clothes. We had to place clothes and suitcases on the extra bed. Very uncomfortable. 2. Wifi did not reach the room. When we needed wifi we had to go downstairs near the main office which was quite far. The wifi reception was too weak with constant disconnections. Other tourists also complained about it. Very inconvenient. 3. Dogs kept in the property barked for 3 hours at night very close to the room. Very difficulty to fall asleep. This happened almost every night. Other tourists also complained.

After reading some of the older reviews, I was a little hesitant about booking this hotel..but I'm sure glad that I did! The hotel is in the PERFECT location right on the beach and only steps from town. We could hear the waves crashing while at breakfast and enjoyed beautiful sunsets each night. The room was clean and comfortable with AC that worked great (and a large hot rain shower!) Staff were helpful and we booked a lovely tour to Cano Island through the hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

There are some stairs to get to certain rooms. This did not bother us at all but is something to consider for those with limited mobility.

I am not usually a picky traveller but the pictures portrayed online are completely deceiving. Tiny rooms, dusty, unclean, bathroom nothing like photos. Dirty uneven stairs to get to rooms. Stained bedsheets. By far the worst hotel for 130 USD I have seen in all of Costa Rica

Situation on the beach

Manager - not sympathetic at all, not to say worse. Always having impression of bothering him when asking for something. Very different from all the very noce and helpful costarican hosts... Made the stay way less enjoyable in my opinion
