This is the second time we've stayed at Michael and Alecia's wonderful place. We loved it so much we came back for two months (staying one month here). The spot is unbeatable, steps to the beach, amazing gardens, quiet pool area and the unit itself is remarkably well equipped. Michael and Alecia are wonderful hosts and we had the opportunity to meet them in person. There are only 6 units in the whole building so it is always quiet. For kiteboarders there is a main floor storage room which is very convenient. The unit itself has been beautifully remodeled and is so bright and airy. And the view... watch the kites fly by sitting on the balcony overlooking the most amazing gardens. Kite beach has a wonderful community feel and we'll never stay anywhere else while visiting Cabarete. And of course, all the staff are so friendly and work hard keeping the property clean and tidy. We can't wait to come back!

My wife and I have stayed at40 + rentals around the world and we thought we had seen it all! Michael and Alicia’s place blew our expectations out of the water! They thought of and supplied everything imaginable. A hot and cold water dispenser and every appliance and kitchen tool that you could ever need! The balcony was well equipped with three sitting areas making room for everyone at all times to be comfortable. The bedrooms had a secluded small balcony overlooking the swimming pool which was perfect if you wanted quiet time! They supplied many many games in a very comfortable living room. Now for the property! A amazing view from the main balcony where you could watch kite surfers all day or if you liked you could go and watch from the dock or beach! The beach in front of the property was sandy bottomed as far in as you wanted to go! Having the pool in behind seemed strange when I first read it but after getting to the property we loved it! It always had a sunny area and a shaded area. It was secluded from the wind so was very comfortable at all times! The property is manicured beautifully, better than we have ever encountered! Now for the staff. Harley deserves special mention as he was so attentive as to help not just us but other staff and never with his hand out! Dilcia the lady who cleaned our apartment did a wonderful job! The owner of the property Michael was so helpful in so many ways to anything we had questions about and also about ideas about the area. About the area, we recommend Freddy for river fishing tours and Bliss for amazing dinners. Thank you Michael and Alicia for sharing a part of your life and hope to be back next year!

The condo was extremely clean and well appointed. My family had a wonderful vacation. Kite Beach is exceptional and lots a great restrauarants near by. Extremely quite and relaxing on our side of the beach. I would love t go to this place again in the future. Thank you Michael and Alicia for a wonderful vacation.

What an excellent place! The condo is perfect - second floor with a large balcony overlooking property gardens and an awesome view right onto kite beach (with all the colorful kitesurfer kites floating above the ocean). The hosts were super attentive and very helpful - they sent us all the required information to enter/exit Dominican Republic, transportation/food/entertainment info, and put us in contact with the property manager who helped us with all our needs on site. The condo is perfectly appointed - the kitchen has all the supplies you need to cook you own meals, including an outdoor grill, coffee machine, awesome gas stove, and plenty of appliances/utensils etc. The bedrooms and living room have excellent ventilation with huge ceiling fans, and the apartment has two lovely bathrooms which is a huge bonus when traveling with family. The condo is surrounded by lush paradise-like gardens, within which is located a sweet pool for evening and post-ocean soaks. We could have stayed for a month. Thank you Michael, Alicia, and Kathy!!

This condo is one of 6 in the complex so it feels very homey. The view is amazing and is located near tons of restaurants and activities. The hosts have made the place super comfortable with everything you could possibly ever need; from towels, kitchen supplies, cooking items and even toiletries. They have thought of everything! I would highly recommend this place ! It was perfect.

We loved our stay at Michael and Alicia’s condo. The condo is in a small complex situated on the beach surrounded by amazing gardens. The condo had everything we needed, even wine aerators! No detail seemed left untouched. The condo is comfortable and decorated beautifully. We came to kite and this is the best location, we’ve been coming here for years. The pool is also amazing and out of the wind nestled in the gardens. We will be back again and again.

The gardens are gorgeous, and provide a wonderful setting for the pool in the rear of the property as well as a stunning foreground for the beach—and views of the kite surfers—in the front. And Michael & Alicia have an attractive, comfortable home that met all our needs. The bedrooms offer plenty of closet and drawer space to stow belongings, and the baths have spacious showers. There are lots of options for lounging and dining both inside and on the beachside balcony. The kitchen has every appliance, cooking implement, dishes and glassware one could ever want. Perhaps above all we appreciated the little details like the phone chargers on each side of the bed, high-quality bath and beach towels, basket of sun screen products [which we forgot to pack/buy], wide array of coffee bar fixings [including creamers in the fridge!], crazy variety of cooking spices, oils and vinegars, bevy of household items [from paper towels to storage bags, chip clips to bottle stoppers] and secure internet and Wi-Fi. Like some other guests we did not rent a car, and Michael arranged for Marino [their preferred local taxi driver] to pick us up at the airport. As recommended, on our way in we stopped at a larger grocery store to pick up provisions for our stay. We became fans of Mesa Taina, the next-door beach bar and restaurant, eating there twice. Later in the week, Kathy [the dependable local manager] arranged for Marino to drive us to dinner at Bliss [a lovely, fancy-but-not-too-fancy restaurant] ---as well as a trip for COVID tests and a ride back to the airport. Kathy, Marino and all the on-site staff, as well as the semi-permanent residents, were consistently kind and helpful. Last but not least, Michael and Alicia are extremely gracious hosts, both in their patience during our somewhat erratic planning [due to a family medical emergency] and their outreach during our stay. We’re already planning a return visit next year, but for 2 weeks!

This was our second time here and we have never had a better VRBO experience, hands down!!!!! Michael and Alicia are incredible hosts and we are so thankful they share their luxurious accommodations with us! Monkey Jungle is a must (nearby), and you can’t go wrong with the dining. Our favorites are Optimal (2 minute beach walk), Yalla (20 minute beach walk), and then Ceiba for an Italian fix and located in nearby Perla Marina (5 minute drive). Oh, and Coconuts on Hideaway Beach (5 minute drive). You can’t go wrong with this place! Michael and Alicia, thank you so very much! This oceanfront condo has a great location, with an incredible ocean view, beautiful gardens, nice cozy pool area and very friendly dogs too! The inside is newly renovated with an attractive beachy vibe, great furnishings and is well stocked with almost everything you can imagine. Overall, we would highly recommend this condo!

If you want paradise, book this property! The Smiths provided us with exceptional service; from arranging airport pick up with Marino to helping us book Covid tests with Kathy, the property manager. From the moment we entered Palacio Atlantico we were in awe. The grounds were impeccable. The garden was lush and beautiful. When we opened the door to the apartment, our jaws dropped!! We had a million dollar view from the balcony. The apartment was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean! My family did not want to leave. This is truly paradise. Super thankful that Michael and Alicia shared their piece of paradise with us. We will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had such an amazing experience, the place was clean, bright, airy, and very beautiful with a breathtaking view! Michael & Alicia’s place have the ocean in their backyard with a direct access to the beach. The kitchen and the house had everything we needed and more! It’s in a quiet and private small community with 24/7 security. We felt save and very comfortable. The pool is beautiful and well maintained as well as their beautiful gardens. Let’s talk about the view…You are literally on the beach & what a great way to start your day with that amazing view. The community is located a few minutes from Sousa and the center of Cabarete. It has a restaurant next door and many restaurants that deliver right to your door. Make sure to visit Waterfront Playa Alicia (We Went In Person) , Natura Cabana Restaurant inside Perla Marina (We went in person), Rugama Tours (We went in person) we did the rivers, Nature and lunch tour, Fresh Fresh Cafe (we went in person to both Sousa location and Cabarete location. , La Chambola ( We have pizza delivered ) Margarita Pizza was really good. Michael & Alicia really paid attention to every detail, the home was so beautifully and tastefully decorated. They were very accommodating and very thoughtful, they even surprised us with a Valentine’s Day gift that we really appreciated and enjoyed. We will definitely be coming back, but next time for a longer stay as we didn’t want to leave and it was hard to say goodbye to that beautiful peace of paradise that made us feel right at home for those few days.

The property was stocked with everything you need, the renovated interior is gorgeous and very clean. The view was spectacular. Host was great as well!

The grounds were magical! My wife is a gardner so she was right at home upon arrival. The condo was spacious & clean and the views of the kites everyday offered quite a bit of entertainment. We enjoyed the secluded pool everyday and the beach for early morning walks and sunsets. Neighbors and staff were very friendly. It's a bit of a hike to town but still a great location, we look forward to coming back again!

Wonderful oceanfront on Kite beach. The gardens are amazing and the ocean fills your senses while you relax and recharge. Michelle was helpful during booking and Kathy and crew took care of everything when we were at the property.
