Waited much too long for breakfast,some of it was cold.very disappointed

The food was not so good.

The property was authentic and in a great location for the purpose of our trip. The bed was huge and the room size was great to chill out at the end of the day.

The room furniture and finishes were dated.

Central, very clean, nice staff.

Slightly overpriced. Bathroom too low to take shower comfortably (and I'm an average 5'9). Dinner staff were nice but rushing menus at us; first course barely finished and we were rushed into the next one!!

Friendly girl at the bar. She tried to help with heating in my room. Not successful.

No card preauthorization anymore which is bad and difficult ending up with lots of receipts at the end. No heating in my room. Was very cold during the night. You have to pay extra for breakfast coffee.

It is very convenient for visiting elderly relatives who live in Tenterden

The floors make a lot of noise but we accept that because it’s an old building.

Breakfast was excellent and quick to come. Very pleasant evenings in the bar, and bar staff attentive.

Couple of minor faults in room - main door stuck and bathroom door had to be lifted slightly to close.

excellent location, nice setting and enjoyed the live band showing. rooms were lovely and spacious, beds were comfy, Nespresso machine, dressing gowns etc. breakfast was very nice.

it was ok for us but if you did mind noise and an early night you may want to request a rear hotel room.

property was very nice and in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and as you would expect on New Year’s Eve , very busy.

The only negatives for me, our room was on the top floor and I’m waiting to have a hip operation, they did not know that and I never said as it was so busy. I didn’t find the bed very comfortable, could do with a topper. we had no hot water which I didn’t find out until I was in the shower, would have been nice if told beforehand.

The location is very well situated for anyone wanting to visit the high street and for the Santa train at EKSR. The hotel has lovely oak beams and is very attractive. Staff were al lovely and very helpful. The room itself was really nice - very loud as there was a high spirited group of ladies next to us who ere up until the early hours but cant be helped at Christmas time!! I would recommend this hotel to families as the family rooms are of a good size but you may want an extra duvet on the sofa bed as it is a little hard.

there is a slight issue between the venue and booking.com at the moment that needs sorting out. When we booked the room was paid for upfront via booking.com and the room description stated it included breakfast for the rate/ Upon arrival the reception staff did try to take the money again - I said no that we had been charged already and provided proof. Reception then gave us breakfast times and prices and I said no this was included in the room and was told it wasn't. On speaking to another staff member it appears they are aware of the issue that booking.com is still advertising a service that the hotel are not offering for that rate but it should be sorted between the venue and book.com not for me to have to battle out as I am not going to be charged twice for a room then try to get a refund from one of you! Staff were very friendly and helpful about this but it does need sorting out and chasing up book.com to remove the section that states breakfast included. Personally the breakfast offering was not for me anyway so we would 100% stay again but eat elsewhere as we like espresso and the breakfast options were not child friendly. again staff were so helpful about getting this sorted and were clearly stuck between the situation not being sorted and people booking on book.com and getting the wrong information.

Lovely, friendly, welcoming staff. Great meals, plenty of hot water and nearby parking.

Could not get the shower to work, stairs were very steep, parking entrance was tight, mattress too hard (for me)! The TV remote was well used!
