Lovely clean and cozy, beautiful breakfast comfortable bed tv in bedroom was fabulous. We had a lovely relaxing stay and will definitely return. Close to everything shop next door was just perfect. Thank you.

Lovely stay here! Was easy to check in, a clean, good sized room, the breakfast was so nice, plenty of parking outside the property and short walk down to the pleasure beach, Would 100% stay here again!

The Guesthouse is situated in a quiet residential area, 10-20 minutes walking from city centre. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable, as well as the fully equipped en-suite. Wifi was good, kettle available in the room for extra tea and coffee. Staff was kind, check-in and check-out very fast. English breakfast was excellent, you could order it in advance for the morning after, highly recommended!
The room was very warm during the night, otherwise everything else was perfect for a short stay trip.

Now don't judge Gails by its cover like we did as its so lovely. We pulled up and though oh god where have we booked. That thought left as soon as we entered, we went straight in before the check in time as we arrived early and wanted to park. Me and my friend stayed in the twin room 5 great size for two people, it was on the top floor, so a few staps to gey to it, may need a little touch up with the paint and a little dusty but it's an attic what do you expect it was good for an independent bnb, the beds were soo comfortable, the hosts were so helpful and lovely and the breakfast was delicious, as a vegetarian it was so tasty and had great choices, I like the pre order option as you know what to expect. My friends meat breakfast she said was delicious also. We slept well and were so surprised by how lovely the stay was.
A small walk down to hill to the beach and pleasure park.
Overall great stay thankyou to Lucy, and I think it was Lyndon for making us feel so welcome.

the kettle was too big, it was a struggle to fill it from the tap, and it would have been nice to have 2 pillows each

Small room . Noise from the fridge . Didn't want to turn it off as the freezer part would have leaked everywhere. Breakfast was ok if you like food from an old type cafe.

Nothing, the room was not advertised as in pictures. The bedroom smelt of damp. Cobwebs and the most unpleasant of all blood stains on top sheet and further stains on bedding and also mattress. Absolutely horrendous. The proprietor was shown the room and clearly no payment made. Disappointed guys. We travelled all the way from Cornwall to stay there.

Room and bathroom were very clean. Shower cubicle good size and hot. Facilities; fridge, fan, hairdryer, tea/coffee, tv all good. Bed was comfy and breakfast lovely. Staff very friendly.
Would have been useful to know more about the parking arrangements and whether a visitor permit was available ahead of stay. Was in loft room so ceilings were pitched and a head hazard, but appreciate not a lot can be done about that.

Great selection of books and games for use of guest.
Breakfast being brought to room at a time of our choice was a nice touch!
Only given towels and cups / teabags etc for 2 of us, but 3 staying. Nobody about to ask for more when went looking twice.

Beds / pillows not overly comfy, double had a serious dip that caused back pain! Room small for 1 adult and 2 teenagers!

The breakfast was really tasty and presented hot and timely. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The location was good as it was far enough away from noise and close to train station. We were able to visit Cardiff easily.
It was a shame that breakfast had to be eaten in the room because it would have been nice to have a change of
scenery but we understand that this was due to Covid restrictions.

The propriter was a great bloke the cost is excellent and his customer skills are spot on someone doing a role they clearly enjoy rooms are spotless more than value for money

Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room (although this is reverting back to the dining room soon).
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The location was great and easy to find.
Whilst it didn't really affect my sleep, the mattress was a little bit lumpy in places and maybe needs replacing sometime soon, other than that we loved everything else!

Self check in was easy and clear. Free parking just around the corner. Great info in the rooms. Brek superb. The host was very friendly and we had a long chat.

Wall causing restrictions. The shower was tiny. Having brek in a cramped room was uncomfortable.

fantastic hosts, really pleased with how clean and central located to everything it was. Parked right outside and was given a permit for that. Spot on if was ever to come back to Barry would return

the room needed decorating and a good deep clean . there was a tablet of some sort by the side of the bedside table. we never met the owners only when somebody bought our breakfast upto the bedroom and then there was no conversation just … here’s your breakfast… the bathroom was the only nice thing about the bed and breakfast. myself and my granddaughter have stayed in many bed and breakfasts in the past and this was by far the worst. the beds were also very uncomfortable but the bed linen was clean. The room was very warm which was nice. it needs up dating and more contact with the owners would of been nice . I know COVID-19 is the normal excuse for no contact now a days but we bed and breakfast alot last year and always had a lot of contact with the owners … breakfast would of been nice in the dining area so that people can chat over a cup of tea before breakfast. Over priced for a very disappointing stay 😕😔🙁
