Bar de Beto was the best home for me on Isabela island and the perfect start for my Galápagos experience. Owners are super friendly and very helpful. Beds are very comfy, the room was cleaned daily, the showers are hot with good water pressure. The kitchen has everything you might need plus a drinking water refill. The Wi-Fi at the bar works perfectly, so you can count on that if the signal in the room is not sufficient, because this could happen – unfortunately internet on the islands is crap.

Noise from the other rooms, walls are thin and if you have room next to the public kitchen, people even wake you up at 3 am in the morning woth the noise they make in the kitchen, slamming doors

Room was clean, airconditioning works good, owner very nice and welcoming. Very close to a beautiful beach and walking distance to many restaurants. There is a kitchen with utensils that can be used and fresh drinking water. Our room even had some sea view!

If anything, the neighbor apparently has a rooster that kept us awake at night. Owner explained to us that she was trying to fix this but that is was not that easy.

it has two buildings. one is on the beach and the other is across the street. Be sure to book the one you want. We stayed in the one that isn’t on the beach. The staff were accommodating and informative. Breakfast is served on the beach. There is a shower that can be used after you check out if you need to wash off the ocean water. it has a communal kitchen.

It has everything you need however some parts are a bit warn. We were having great adventures each day so we didn’t mind.

The neighbors chickens woke us up each morning. But that is not the fault of the hotel.

The cozy hotel is located across the street from the beach very close to the main area of Puerto Viamill. It offers private rooms as well as dorms, breakfast is not included but can be added for USD 10 each (which we found too pricy). We liked the AC in the room and the small communal kitchen. Highlight of the stay was definitely the very helpful staff which helped us with organizing tours as well as a cab for the very early ride back in the morning to the ferry port.

For what it offers, the private rooms are a bit on the pricey side for what you get. And the private rooms in the top floor get very hot during summer, I assume they are not really well insulated (just a minor inconvenience and to be expected when traveling in such a remote location).

Great location. The room was nice and very clean. The staff was was nice and always available. I would rebook in Bar de Beto hotel if i go back to Isabela!!

the location of the bar is spectacular. the guesthouse is just across the ( sandy) street.

only pro was the location of the place and that the rooms where big.

The cleanness of the place was very bad. The sheets had sand, the towels where stained, like they didn't clean those well. There was a fridge in the room, full on fungus very dirty, as well as the kitchen was super dirty too. At 4 am there was a rooster that didn't let me sleep. Worst thing was the host, she told me and my mom that we were not able to take normal showers because the water runs out and we should be quick because if one of us doesn't shower quickly then there wont be water for the other one. This doesn't made any sense after an active day in the island the only thing you want is to take a descent hot shower, also water preassure was weak. Overall the internet is very bad in the island but this place DIDN'T HAD WIFI directly.

We love both the owner of this place! They are super kind and helpful and even make us feel like theie children 😭 our room is clean and facing the ocean it was amazing to fall asleep to the sound of ocean. The bar was an amazing plus! I love the hammocks around the hotel. But i think the highlight of the hotel is the kindness of the owners , i swear they are the nicest people and amazing service!!! We feel like home!

I really enjoyed my stay with Edith and Beto. The location of the hostel is great and I really enjoyed my hot shower after a swim. I would definitely come back.

loved the location and how close it was to everything. you have restaurants less than 5 minutes away, you can do your laundry just down the street (they wash and fold), and depending on which room you have you have a full kitchen. great place
