The family who own it and live there make you feel very welcome without being intrusive. The location is also great because it is outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud but still within walking distance of warungs and shops

Our second time staying here & we will stay again Also has a small convenience store for beers, petrol & basic needs attached. Also small Warung attached for some great value local dish's. All was great .

I absolutely loved my at Pondok Bali. It is a family complex with its own Temple, as is the whole street that it's situated in. Most nights you can hear a nearby traditional Balinese music school practicing - which I loved listening to. The family are warm and welcoming and helpful and always happy to explain about the complex, family life and Hindu religion. It is a 5 minute scooter ride out of busy Ubud, but the local scooters are only between Rp9-17 each way, depending on time of day - so never a problem. It was a calm retreat to return to. There are several good Warungs and beautiful rice fields to view within 5/10 mins walking distance. Laundry just a few doors away. They have a brilliant cooking class on site. Nothing is too much trouble, they took me on a tailormade scooter tour to local temples, and to/from the airport. Breakfast was always good, pancakes, omelette, and fresh fruit, tea and coffee. The room was exceptional. Spacious, bright, clean with lovely furniture (wardrobes, side tables and cupboard space), a balcony, beautifully comfy bed, and had hot water!! For a unique, peaceful stay in Ubud, definitely stay here!

Really nice, cosy homestay. It's in a traditional Balinese family home. The family is really nice and can give you a lot of tips for around. The location is a littlebit out the centre of Ubud. But there are some really nice warungs around to eat in the middle of the rice fields. The room can be improved with small maintenance, but doesn't effect the comfortness that you get for the price that you pay. Breakfast really good!

- bathroom facilities could be a more maintained/cleaned - one night we had a big gecko in the room and my friend didn’t like it so I asked the owner to remove it and he came and smashed it with a broom which did the job but this wasn’t my intention at all and left me sad

the light was broken in the bathroom and one of the pillow cases was white but had black marks on it

No easy access to hot water for tea and coffee

Komang and Kadek are beautiful people that offer one of my favorite accommodations in town. They are super friendly and hape to share tips or have a talk. Everybody is friendly and easy going, but always helping when you need something. The rooms are beuatiful, very light and the area is away from the troubled streets of Ubud, so just surrounded by natural sounds (animals, temple music, dogs). I will definitely stay here again and can recommend it to anyone!

My home away from home. The most warm and loving host I have ever met in all of my travels throughout the world. A warm welcome, friendly faces and so much love they made me feel part of their Family ♥️ There is nothing not to like about this stay and you get the added bonus of an on site Balinese cooking class. I booked for 3 days and extended for a month without having to think twice ♥️ Highly recommended for any traveller but as a female solo traveller this place went out of their way to meet my needs and I will definitely be returning here on my next visits.

Absolutely nothing not to like.

Komang was a great host, together with his family. He is incredibly warm and also shared with us about Balinese life and customs. The room was spacious and clean and also had a hearty homemade breakfast everyday. The room has a beautiful sunset view as well.

I’ve been traveling through Asia for the last 4 months and have never encountered a host as genuine and polite as in this homestay. We booked just before midnight and got a room immediately after a warm welcome. Room was perfect for the price we payed and we even got breakfast in the room. 10/10, would stay again!

The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He went above and beyond to ensure I had the best stay. A great homely feel to the place, very clean and an excellent free breakfast. I extended my stay here and wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I’m in Ubud, I will definitely come back here.
