Die Betten waren gut, die Inneneinrichtung ist schön.

Der Kontakt zum Besitzer war unterirdisch. So etwas ist mir in meinem ganzen Leben noch nicht passiert. Von Anfang an wurde uns vermittelt, dass es quasi eine Unverschämtheit ist, überhaupt dort gebucht zu haben. Die Gäste würden alles dreckig machen. Wir sind sehr saubere und ordnungsliebende Menschen, wurden aber von Anfang an in die Schublade gesteckt. Getränke und Speisen sind auf dem Zimmer verboten, nicht einmal ein Brot darf man zu sich nehmen, denn: „wir sind hier ja nicht auf dem Campingplatz!“. Im Hof darf man Getränke bestellen, aber auch hier steht ein großes Schild mit „no picnic“. Zum Garten hat man keinen Zugang, der wird von einem angsteinflößenden Hund bewacht. Gepäck, und sei es noch so wenig, kann vor der Eincheckzeit (17 Uhr) nicht deponiert werden: er „passt doch nicht auf Ihre Sachen auf!“ Wir haben uns extrem unwohl gefühlt. Schade eigentlich, denn ansonsten ist die Unterkunft ganz nett. Einen Föhn sollte man sich allerdings mitbringen, den gibt es nicht. Zusammenfassend kann ich nur sagen: Finger weg! Die Art und Weise der Kommunikation kann man übrigens in den Antworten auf schlechte Bewertungen direkt erkennen. Leider hatte ich mir die im Voraus nicht angeschaut, weil die Gesamtbewertung so gut war. Entweder wurden die Gäste von seiner Frau betreut, oder sie sind gekauft. Etwas anderes kann ich mir nicht vorstellen.

The bit hostile welcome by the host made us feel very unwelcome. We arrived at 22:00 and apparently we had to give the accommodation a call if arriving later than 19:00. Unfortunately, we had overseen this rule in their confirmation. After long drive we arrived at 22:00 and the approach by the host was of an extreme unkind and unwelcome nature. Whilst we were were in the car, before we were checked in, he adressed his frustration to wait so long for us, and called us impolite. For me, running a B&B or guesthouse should be all about hospitality and looking after guests, give them a great experience. For us, this has been an extreme unwelcoming and guest-unfriendly experience. Will not return again.

The rooms are in a pretty enclosed courtyard where you can sit and they also run a happy hour with drinks in the evening. The bedrooms were modern, beautifully furnished and clean. Parking is also inside and very secure which was important for us. Breakfast was great and the hosts were very attentive. Great location to visit Colmar, but you do need transport.

A most unwelcoming and rude owner

Lovely farmhouse setting with a very considerate Host. The rooms are large and have been upgraded with modern conveniences (sinks/shower), and the beds were fine. The Host is very attentive and he puts on a very nice breakfast with breads, cheeses, fruits, and of course cafe/espresso.

A relatively small matter, but the shower drain in our unit was VERY slow to drain (but it does...slowly) and had to be careful not to have the standing water leak onto the floor. FYI, Check-In is not until 5:00 (17:00) and the gate allowing you to enter the property for check-in does not allow entry until just prior. Nice place, worth the stay.
