The apartment is small but comfortable and cosy. Central location.

It was unacceptable the fact that, by the time we should have checked in (3pm), the apartment hadn't been cleaned yet. I wrote to the owner and she told me to get in and to advise if the service wasn't done by 5 pm. We have a 1 year old kid and this proposal sounds simply crazy. So, since it was also heavily raining, we had to get in the car and wait until the job was finished, at 4.30 pm, when we saw the lady coming out. I'm still waiting from the owner's message to advise that the apartment is clean...

We stayed at the duplexe lumiere in February. The flat is on the second floor with a lovely view of the Rhone and the barges. It was spotless, very pretty and despite a very busy street- very quiet inside with the double-paned windows. The bed linens and towels were plentiful, super crisp and fresh. There are two very efficient heaters, plenty of hot water in the shower and an air conditioning unit. Also there’s enough dishes and cooking utensils for two or three people. The location is great and easy to reach from the airport/train station via bus which stops steps away. There’s a market ab 100 meters away up the street. I was really pleasantly surprised, after reading previous reviews in last minute, this place is so spotless it shines!

We were surprised by the lack of toilet paper and cleaning products and supplies. There was a dishwasher tablet supplied. The bed is a bit hard. Still, a nice place to stay.

the location is excellent! very easy to get around. the apartment was clean. the shower was excellent (but lacked hot water at times). comfortable. the keyless entry was extremely convenient. the apartment itself is very good

there’s no dishwashing tablets provided, which is annoying when the expectation is to wash everything up before you leave. providing one or two would just make the world of difference

Good things are the location of course, very close to center. Actually we have 2 flats from this service and the other one was absolutely better, no idea why this one is such.

Host couldn't find the key to enter the flat for 3 hours since check in time and once we enter the flat were half cleaned, there were still bad cloths in wardrobe left from previous rent. No knife to cut the bread There are 3 wifi passwords at the flat, 1 is on the box, 1 is written on instructions and 1 is on a separate paper with a different SSID but you need to spend time to try all for finding the right combination. No towels for kitchen, most of the appliances were dirty, some were unhealthy to use. Dishware was broken, the cover for the tablet didn't work.

We didn't get instructions on how to check in. We showed up to the wrong address and I had to call and text the host about getting access to the apartment. Thankfully the host responded quickly.

Apartment was in need of a good clean, floors were dirty. Should have a fan in the bed room, portable AC not man enough for the job . Sheets had old blood stains on them. Hand rail needed on stairs

The location is wonderful, the house very interesting.

No place to hang towels, air conditioning very loud and very big in the middle of the room.

Clear instructions were sent to pick up the key. The place was very comfortable and near the center of Lyon. The good part was that there was a fan, which was very useful as temperatures went up to higher 30 Deg. C. on two days.

The toughest part was taking my heavy bag to the third floor. It was a climb of 93 steps. No lift was there. While a great exercise, it is a real tough to take heavy bags up/down. Not suitable for people who have difficulty in walking/climbing or old people.

The location of the apartment is fantastic. Accessing the apartment was easy. The building in which the apartment is housed is beautiful, quiet and well-insulated.

The apartment was visibly dirty. The floor needed a vacuum. The stove hood was covered in a thick layer of dust. Some of the bowls and plates needed a hand wash. Whilst there were some good kitchen appliances, curiously there were essentials missing - not a single sharp knife. To cut bread we had to use a butter knife. The bed was uncomfortable and springy. Whilst the foundations of the building are beautiful and sturdy, the rest of the apartment felt put together on the cheap (skirting boards that fell off, rusty nail on the floor - see photo, scuffed plaster wall). The space should really be advertised as a studio. It is too small to be considered an apartment.

There were too many restrictions. Everything had a charge or penalty, which was quite surprising. Clients have to wash the dishes clean the rooms otherwise they will charge your card. They even block the card and do not share the room code unless you share the card details on their application.

The location was very central to the sites which was great. The property was full of character.

We have knowledge that the weather was very hot on the week we went to which was great for us however the Mezzanine bedroom was very very hot and could probably do with a Portable fan to assist with sleeping.

The keyless access was convenient. The property was clean. Beds were comfortable. Linen was good quality. The kitchen facilities were fine, if somewhat basic. Shower and toilet were good. Excellent TV and sound system with Netflix and other services. The location is excellent (near Beaux Arts and the theatre) to walk or take public transport from. There are enough small and bigger supermarkets, and restaurants all within walking distance. We chose the ground floor property, which suited us. There was no noise from other apartments. Decent sound proofing of windows keeps traffic sound to a low hum. Some close noises from the street can be loud.

I paid the deposit for the property at the time of booking 2mths ago. However I got an email less than 24hrs before our arrival that our deposit hadn't been received. I mailed the receipt for the deposit and had to find a number to text on. Following this, the host sent across a code. But they didn't send the code for the outside door to enter the building. We asked again and this time got the external code. I would have preferred that we had been contacted in advance if they couldn't find the deposit receipt, rather than doing it all at the last minute. We had to ask for wifi password. There was no information booklet in the property. A wardrobe or clothes hanger in the bedroom would be good. Also a mirror. The only mirror was the bathroom one. The bathroom doesn't have any hooks or rails to put clothes on. Only the towel rail.

No Breakfast as good self-catering facilities. Location was very central and convenient for a lot of areas. Situated in a lovely Lyonaise atmospheric building near the river.

With the bathroom inserted into the room made the room a little bit cramped.
