Beautiful guest house in a great location. Extremely clean and well maintained. Lovely pool, delicious breakfast, strong WiFi. Mariana and the whole team were very kind and accommodating.

Minor point but perhaps add another bedside table so there's one on each side of the bed.

It is a mansion transformed into a hotel - it has a splendid nature surrounding the entire property which means parrots, saguis monkeys, macaus and other local birds right there - that was pretty amazing! We could feed them with fruits and it was an special experience. The hotel does not offer TV inside the rooms -( only at the lobby) and that it is on purpose - but I must confess, during our staying ( 6 nights total) and with the rainny season on its verge, I missed the TV at night. There is a small selection of books ( some in English) that can replace the TV or you can choose playing cards ( if you are not in the honeymoon....) The staff is very friendly and talkative - putting a lot of effort in the art of pampering guests, but despite this I felt a little bit the lack of essential stuff when you are paying a high price for a hotel - which is the case here. Good towels were not available - they were quite in bad shape for a Hotel Boutique and there is also a problem of the absence of proper furniture inside the rooms - like cabinets, drawers or a proper place to put your suitcase on or even to hang some bikinis to get them dry. Breakfast was excellent - coffee , fruits, tapioca and cakes were delicious - made at the property by 2 ladies in charge of the kitchen that were very friendly. The incredible nature that surrounds this Hotel it is in fact its main attraction. Quiet and secluded, despite being near - few 2 or 3 miles away from dowtown village - you can for sure, have a relaxing and peaceful hotel experience.

This is our second time here. This time it was only an impromptu stay for 1 night. I am happy to recommend and is clean, friendly, secure, great location and facilities. Great breakfast. We will be back.

Our fourth time here, very enjoyable again. Beautiful views and tranquil garden, large comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, best place to stay in Lagoa!

This was quite a beautifully kept property with stunning yardwork and a solid building with wood adorning. Our room overlooking the lake was fantastic with a large balcony plus hammock, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a big comfortable bed with linen sheets. There was a large pool in the middle of the property. The receptionist at night really took care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed and more! She also set us up with a seafood restaurant that was not in the busy touristy area which we appreciated. Oh did I mention that if you are lucky, you get to see the wild monkeys that visit the trees on the property!?

Friendly staff (Natálio, Fernanda, Marcia and Mariana), gorgeous house (spacious, modern, well decorated, good taste, attention to details). Plentiful and tasteful breakfast.

As previously commented by other guests, the room with the king size bed does not have in fact a king size bed, but two twins. Unless you enjoy sleeping in a king bed but separate from your wife/spouse, or if any of you don't mind spooning in a crack, the king bed-like they provide is perfect for you. And in all honesty, fun aside (as we know other properties do the same), I contacted the property beforehand to inform that a Queen bed would be enough for us (if a real king bed could not be provided as advertised for the lake view room). They said it would be arranged, but it was not. I slept in the crack. : )

The garden us wonderful, the staff is very friendly and forward coming. Rooms were large and confortable. Good breakfast!
