Location and view of the river

Room was meant to be Deluxe double. The room was so small that there was only one bedside table, and on a very hot day it was impossible to open the inner large window by more than a few inches because it hit the bed . Therefore no chance of a breeze , which was vital because the air con WAS NOT WORKING. Almost impossible to sleep. Extractor fan in bathroom didn't work. Third floor, no lift, no concierge! The breakfast at £11 each was poor, the buffet ran out of coffee, croissants, ham, etc. and this was at 8.30!Nobody seemed to have responsibility for checking supplies. There was peeling paint in corridors and bathroom., and the parking area looked unkempt. What this place needs is a manager who takes pride in his hotel. We did not stay for the second night booked

The arrangement of the window in the room made both the access to the bed and the opening of the window difficult.

Room and bathroom are both perfect

They charged extra for river view but do not mention that it is a view on not a silent street as well :-)

Ligging

Vergane glorie.

Very nice royal style rooms with a great view at the Loire. Safe bike storage in the backyard garage.

Absolute nice and competent staff. Breakfasts despite all the Covid restrictions very good

The staff were helpful, and gave us a better room when there was a problem with our first room. The breakfast was very nice.

Their is no lift, so carrying heavy suitcases up to the third floor round a narrow staircase is not nice.
