Great location in the heart of Gedre. The location didn’t show up for us on GPS - so if you get stuck it’s the opposite of Piscine á Gedre. Host doesn’t speak English so come armed with a translation app if you don’t speak French. Cute kitchen and was a good size for 3 of us. Very clean. Dated decor, but we thought it was quite charming!

The beds and pillows are extremely hard and uncomfortable. I like a firm bed but this was like sleeping on the floor with a rock for a pillow. I would advise the host to invest in some nice memory foam or feather pillows and some soft mattress toppers. We were also charged 20€ for towels and sheets which is in the terms and conditions, but we can see in the reviews others were provided with these for free so we aren’t sure why we were charged but others were not. Seems like something that could be included in the price.

La Biasou is an excellent apartment in a beautiful, small and quiet village. The owner lives downstairs, and was readily available when we needed assistance. The apartment was spotless, and well stocked with everything we needed (dishes, cutlery, hand towels, paper towel, detergent, hand soap, drying rack, washing machine, cleaning supplies, etc.). The apartment has lots of windows, so there is good ventilation, and there is a large terrace. Beds were firm and comfortable. There is a lot of space for a family. Gedre has a small grocery store that has fresh meats, cheeses and fresh bread and pastries. There is also a bar, coffee shop, ice cream/crepe and pizza restaurant, and sandwich shop in the main square. Everything is within walking distance from the apartment, which was very convenient. Finally, Gedre is in a great location for accessing great hikes nearby.

There are two bedrooms, each with a single and double bed. The back bedroom is larger, and has two windows and a wardrobe. The front bedroom is a bit cramped, no wardrobe, and has only one window, so in the summer heat, it stayed a little warm. If you are only two people, I would request the back room. There is an outdoor pool across the street with lots of action during the day, but it closes in the evening and things quiet down. If I had to say one thing that wasn’t perfect, I would say the sheets were not cotton and the pillows could be better - but this didn’t detract from the excellence of the apartment.

The apartment was large and roomy, with fully equipped kitchen. It was close (by car) to hiking trails. Nice, quiet area.

The proprietress wasn't there when we arrived so we had to find someone in town to telephone her to come home. There were no amenities like soap, shampoo so it would have been good to know in advance
