The house is overall nice, my main problem with this stay was the AC. Once you arrive you read the instructions and it states 76 degrees is a comfortable temp and that’s the recommended temperature for the house. We’ll we all had a good laugh at that since we keep our house very cool year round. 68 degrees to be exact. So we go to turn the thermostat down but it will only turn down to 72 since it’s locked out buy the owner and will go down no further. I’m not super happy about that but turn the fans on and decide to live with it. Wake up the first night sweating, go check the temperature and it back at 76. Figured it was a fluke or a setting. Wrong the owner throughout the stay day and night several times a day would set it back to 76. I mean I paid close to 4K dollars I think I have a right to be comfortable and I could have lived with the 72 degrees but who the heck sets their thermostat to 76. Another thing I didn’t like about the house was the fact it has inside cameras. I know it says they are turned off but who is going to trust that. We put paper plates in front of the inside cameras. Just kinda creepy. Outside cameras I understand. If it wasn’t for these two major issues I would not hesitate to stay at this house again.

We booked the rental for Thanksgiving week prior to Hurricane Ian. We have friends north of Englewood who gave us the scope of how the area was impacted and figured enough was “back to normal” that we kept the reservation. We are so glad that we did. The house was perfect for our family of 4 and could easily have accommodated 2 more adults without feeling crowded. The home had a nice covered and screened in porch area in the back. The house was well stocked with pans, plates, towels, charcoal BBQ, etc… A few homes in the neighborhood were severely impacted by Ian but most had little damage. The rental had NO visible damage. Restaurants were open along Manasota Key Road which is a. great road for a bike ride. Beaches are 10 minutes away and downtown Venice is about 25 minutes to the north. When back in the area, we’d rent again.

My family really enjoyed staying in this home. It is very comfortable and just enough room for my family of 5 plus our dog. The fenced in backyard worked perfect for our girl. And the lanai was so wonderful for morning coffee to an evening hangout. Definitely recommend this place. Also, Ron was great with communicating and making sure everything looked good. Thanks Ron!

We were staying in town to visit local family for the holidays and this was just the perfect solution for us. The home was clean and as described, the check-in process was super simple and clear. The host was fantastic and communicated regularly and clearly. All in all it was everything we could have hoped for and for a great value.

Love this property. Quiet, private but with a great location close to the beach and stores. Clean, fully equipped and comfortable. I really don't want to tell you about it because you might book it when I want to go!

This home is very clean and well maintained. The bedrooms are spacious and the fenced in yard is great if you have a pet. The location is close to many restaurants and shops, and just a short drive to the beach. Would recommended to others. 😊

We loved this house. It is very clean and nice. The back yard was great for our dog. The beds are very nice and comfortable. The house is beautiful inside. They even had crayons in a bucket and I had forgotten me granddaughters crayons for her coloring books, so she was very happy. The screened lanai is wonderful to sit out and watch TV in the evenings. My son's girlfriend said it was like a beautiful GLAMPING place. I had never heard this word so I asked her to elaborate, She said you know a GLAMOROUS Camping space. We relaxed and watched TV out there in the evenings. This is really a great place and we will be back. We have been conning to Englewood since I was a teen and I carried on the tradition with my own family. The owner is very sweet and helpful and answers very quickly with any questions you may have,. Love it here! We also took our Bay Boat it's 20ft wouldn't suggest something much bigger then that the house sits near the end of the canal and gets narrow. Great place and close to everything. Clean house, nice neighborhood, great yard for our dog, good access to groceries, gas and Farlowe's . This house was a little further from Sarasota than we desired (due to our late scheduling) , so we had more driving time and less relaxing. Owner was very helpful and flexible.

My fiance, his friends, and myself had a phenomenal time visiting the cozy canal cottage. The location is phenomenal. We were minutes away from the beach, dining, and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the back lanai as we chatted over some coffee in the morning. This place felt like home away from home. We were surprised with how big the home was and loved the interior decor. It was nice being able to play games and relax on the couch for movie night when it rained. My fiance and I were able to walk the beach and collect sharks teeth. We were excited about that too. All around the home had a lot of privacy. The home was clean and the homeowner was very attentive with making sure all of our needs were met. We give this place 5 stars and will definitely be back to visit.

We all enjoyed our time here. The property is clean, neighborhood is quiet. The location was exceptionally convenient for our event and there is a strong likelihood we'll rent from them again. The owner's articulate communication is a big help, made everything super easy! The only real complaints I could issue, are really actually kinda nit picky. I'll only list them as pointers to turn this into a 5 star :-) We are all big foodies, we rent places like this so we can cook. The cookware could be updated, some cast iron skillets and quality knives would go a long way. Then theres the cameras. Its fully discolsed before you rent, and they are turned off- but its still weird. Im just not a fan of cameras inside private residences, especially when I have no access to the monitor. I understand why they are there- still not a fan🤷🏻‍♂️

The property is well -equipped and well maintained. It has a large lanai in the back. We spent alot of time there when we were home. It has a fenced in backyard which was a big plus for our dog. The shed in the back had bikes, kayaks and beach equipment so we didn't have to bring all that with us. Also had a dock off the backyard which was a canal so you could put kayaks in the water off the backyard. One big plus for me was the very comfortable king bed in the master bedroom. I have a bad back. Location was very convenient to stores, restaurants, golf and beach was minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay.

We all loved this property. It was clean, maintained, and just adorable!! Ron was great with communication throughout the stay. The neighbors were very friendly and the neighborhood was quiet. It was very close to the beach! The lanai was the best part of the house and we spent EVERY night out there and I spent every morning with my coffee on the lanai watching the news on the outdoor TV. I would HIGHLY recommend this property!!

The owner has thought of everything. This house has a fully stocked kitchen (where we cooked all but one meal). The back porch area is wonderful. We spent a lot of time out there. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is great! We were there 3 days and each day picked a different beach to go to...all within a 10-15 minute drive. We can't wait to come back and stay here again!! We HIGHLY recommend this property.

Very nice recent remodel of the kitchen. Nice, open floor plan. We loved the big, breezy, screened in Lanai, where we mostly lived. It has a large dining table and comfortable chairs. We preferred not to use air conditioning so we appreciated ceiling fans in all rooms. House is convenient to clean, public beaches and shopping.

Spent 3 weeks at the cozy canal cottage and had a great experience. Location was very convenient to stores, restaurants and beaches. House was well stocked with everything needed. Screened in room and fenced in yard was a huge plus. Enjoyed the stay in Englewood area.
