spacious room, central location. excellent the welcome sparkling wine and wafers and coffee!

1) the bathroom is outside the room, can be reached exiting the room and passing through the stairs, where there are other rooms. 2) the bathroom is beautiful and with all possible soap/ shampoo/ cream, but there are many almost empty bottles around and too many stuff leaving no space for my own things

The location couldn't have been better for exploring Sarzana, and the historic building is beautiful and nicely furnished. I loved having a private balcony looking over a courtyard area at stone walls, a grape arbour, ivy, olive trees, and typical rooflines of the area. The balcony even had a sink where I could handwash some laundry! Lorella, the host, was kind, responsive, and deservedly proud of her building and town. Communication was through whatsapp with the help of Google translate, but Lorella's enthusiasm and kindness made it work well!

The fridge in the room wasn't working properly, but Lorella responded promptly. The layout of the accomodations is a bit quirky as the communal central staircase separates the bedroom from the private bathroom and balcony, but it was not a problem during my visit as the rooms above were not rented out, so I could keep the doors open between them and the light and air flowing through. I found the light in the bedroom quite dim and impossible to read by except in the daytime with the shutters open, but I was able to sit in the bright bathroom and balcony area. Outlets are a bit awkwardly placed, but it is a beautiful older building that would be difficult to retrofit. These small inconveniences did not detract from the stay!

I liked that the location was central, the facilities were good and clean, the owner was friendly. Central to the main town and easy to walk around the walled city.

The internet kept dropping out but that could be a local thing.

The location could not have been better, the host was extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was spotless and some nice touches like bathroom products, water, coffee machines. We only stayed for 1 night.. but if this place had a pool it would have been perfect!!!! Would highly recommend
